    Incredible Oktoberfest Pretzel

Flurry's Lakeside is a joint venture from two Flower Mound staples (Local Pint and Flurry's). This is an intimate quaint spot with a great selection of drinks and sandwiches. They have an extensive selection of wine and beer to purchase to go. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the bistro is super clean. And if you every seen that they are serving their Bavarian soft pretzel - ORDER it! It was so delicious and came with amazing spicy mustard and beer cheese that was so good I wanted to lick the container clean! :)

The best sandwich shop. Great beer on tap. It's a really convenient place to pick up a bottle of wine, some beer, and food.

Normally, I don't consider people from St. Louis to be credible deli evaluators, but I was desperate and made the hour drive to Grapevine. We got there at 11:15 and the line was nearly to the door. Within 30 minutes, it was well out into the street. That was a promising sign. The sandwich menu covered the entire wall over the counter. Lots of non-New-York sandwiches like Cubans, gyros, etc, but over in the left corner were the classic Ruebens and pastramis. I went for the latter. A REAL NY deli usually has a few soups like split pea and chicken noodle and matzoh. No soups. Bummer. They had a half dozen sides - 3 kinds of potato salads and a few slaws. I went with the German potato salad. The drink option was spartan - they tossed a styrofoam cup at me and pointed to the soda fountain. The pastrami sandwich was OK for Texas. A SUPER pastrami sandwich on hard rye can get me moaning like Meg Ryan in "When Harry Met Sally" -- only I don't have to fake it. The German potato salad was watery and bland - I should have gone with the mustard potato salad. Turnaround was on the slow side. Napkins = paper towel roll on table. Flimsy plasticware. The overall vibe was affordable utilitarian. I'll give the sandwich a 4, everything else a 3. Next time I'll drive the extra half hour to Cindi's.

The outdoor patio consists of just a couple of tables on the sidewalk, which can make it difficult if you're visiting alone with your dog, as there's no shaded or cooled seating outside while you go in to order. And inside it's not dog friendly. Inside, the décor presents a mix of tables and chairs that matches the French café atmosphere. The menu focuses mainly on French pastries. Prices are on the higher side, so I was hoping for a bit more in terms of quality. I tried the six mini croissants (around $7), which were good but tasted slightly stale. The crab pastry was the highlight--fresh, flavorful, and something I'd happily order again. I also tried the Nutella-filled sugar doughnut, which was a bit disappointing. The filling was quite runny and tasted more diluted than rich, lacking the distinctive hazelnut thick flavor you'd expect. I was looking forward to eating a croissant today, but this place didn't quite have what I was expecting
