Pro: A short drive from Interstate, Prompt response to re-making order, friendly staff. Cons: lukewarm food, long waits, a limited amount of parking, a single toilet for men's room. At approximately 18:30/18:45 on Sunday, July 9th, I had what I can only qualify as the worst experience at your Burgerville in Centralia Washington. As someone who's an occasional customer in both Portland, Vancouver, and Centralia - this marked another depressing reminder that fast doesn't always = great/good. We ordered the following menu items and save for the "Walla Walla Sweet Onion Rings" numbering in the five, everything arrived lukewarm and dry. This marks the 2nd instances where wait time for food didn't equate to fresh and hot food. Review Pepper Bacon Cheeseburger: Lukewarm and oversized bun. Lukewarm and very dry beef patty. A few leaves of lettuce, sad-looking tomatoes, unmelted cheese, and less than a tablespoon of mayonaise. The replacement was quickly exchanged but had an identical experience. Anasazi Bean Burger. Lukewarm bun, lukewarm patty, but they did honor the req. for Onion Rings. Walla Walla Sweet Onion Rings: Hot, crisp, and paired well with the accompanying tartar sauce. Final thoughts. Avoid Centralia if you can, because two separate instances, resulting in the same outcome is not isolated. Will not be going back, short of a major mea culpa. read more

This place was terrible. Dry lukewarm beef patty, the tiniest of of mayo and ketchup in the middle and only enjoyed on the last few bites. Fries were ancient. I asked for replacement which I didn't receive until I asked again later. These were only slightly better...fried to within an inch of their lives. Service was poor all the way around. The food here is great. I came here on a Monday afternoon, was helped by Hunter. He could not have been more disinterested in helping me and at one point he even turned away while I was mid-order and said something to his coworker about another customer. Really?? Whatever. Luckily the food was good. I ordered the Walla Walla onion rings, a medium soda and a tillamook burger. This was $14...... The onion rings were the temperature of the sun, nice and hot, and the burger was an edible temp. The onion rings were incredibly good! We make it a point to stop here when we are on the road between Seattle and Portland. On one of our recent trips, there was a bit of confusion around the fries that we ordered (type/size) so order carefully. Burgers were made with fresh ingredients and tasted pretty good. We also tried the fish & chips for variety. The fish portions were well cooked and had a decent coating on them but nothing outstanding. I ordered the triple berry shake but it was way too sweet for my taste (I prefer some more tart with berries). These are best enjoyed as a sit-down meal rather than eating in the car (can be messy). Always have had great service and great food. Their fish and chips are really good as well as their milk shakes but I almost always get their NW cheeseburger (Tillamook burger) and it is delicious! Word up to being not only the northernmost Burgerville (that I know of) but to also serving up sandwiches that look exactly like they're supposed to... like a menu promo picture or something. Every time I am in this B-ville (usually when traveling from SEA to PDX or vice versa) it seems to be pretty packed... usually with people from Oregon (because we know that as far as fast food goes, B-ville is the bB's neez). For those not in the know, Burgervill serves primarily locally-sourced, seasonal food, quality Oregon Country beef (all natural), Rogue Creamery cheese, Walla Walla onions, and the like. It's fast food but a far cry from the likes of Burger King and Mc D's. You'll definitely pay extra, but it's more than worth it. Yay for good road food. read more

I love Burgerville USA! Actually I think it's just straight "Burgerville" now, but it used to be Burgerville USA. This place is a heavy part of my childhood. You see, my family lives in Northwest Washington, and my grandmother, bless her ornery, Irish soul, lives just outside of Portland, so trips were made back and forth several times a year growing up, and on the way down to Portland was always a stop at this Burgerville. Growing up all I knew was that I liked Burgerville, I couldn't tell you why, I just knew I liked it. Now I can tell you that it's the "spread" that they use on their burgers, it's so deliciously yummy, and you can buy a jar of it for only $3.99 to take home! Heaven. So when Miss Lina D and I decided to make the 80+ mile trek south to Centralia for the soul purpose of going to the glorious Helly Hansen Outlet to load up on great new snowboarding and sledding gear, I announced to her that we MUST stop at Burgerville (it is just across the street, afterall) So after stocking up on cheap, cheap, cheap new snow gear we headed across the street to Burgerville, and like I thought she would be, she was impressed. Although this particular location tends to be a bit on the... well, it's sort of ghetto. Last time I went in it looked like a hurricane had hit: the floors were filthy and I refused to eat my food in the lobby (the food prep areas looked clean, it's just the seating area that looked scary) This time the place was still a bit dirty, in need of a sweeping and a mopping, but not bad. A woman was wiping the tables down in the lobby and cleaning up as we ate, so I guess they are making some effort to keep up on the cleaning. Our fries were awesome. Always are. Perfectly salted, freshly out of the fryer and just delicious. My burger (Colassal Cheese) was delicious, meat was cooked perfectly, not too dry or too moist. It's more than I can eat, but I used a little mind over matter and stuffed it down because it was so delicious. The jar of Spread I bought is in my fridge and waiting to be consumed. The bestfriend and I did a test a few years ago, plain Burger King cheese with Burgerville Spread tastes almost like a real Burgerville burger. Ah I'm ready to get me some! read more

One of my wife and I's favorite place to go to when we need a good burger! the burgers and fries there are very very good. it gives it a home cooked burger feel to it. the staff is always friendly and respectful. we have never had a problem there. yes it does take a few minutes to get your food. but remember folks its not a mcdonalds or a burger king where its fast food out the door. it takes a little time which i dont mind. burgers are flavorful and big. good prices too. :) read more

I'm a total fan of Burgerville. They are locally owned. They use local ingredients. They have a creative menu, and their food is freakin' yummy for fast food. Something must be wrong with my car. It seems like everytime I am on highway 5 in Centralia that my car pulls to the Right at the exit for Burgerville so I have to pull over to investigate but it just so happens that I always end up in their parking lot. I have deviated only once from the Bacon Cheesburger and that was to try the veggie burger. While the veggie burger was quite good, I am afraid it does not compare with a good old Bacon Cheesburger. The Bacon has pepper on it which adds to the yumminess! There is usually some type of seasonal berry shake or smoothie and you just cannot go wrong with a shake. I am glad I listen carefully to my car. Next time I will have to try out the free wifi - will make my stay a bit longer. read more

Stopped in here because we've heard good things about the chain from friends in the Portland area. Might try one of the Oregon locations, but we won't be back in here ever again. The wait was long, partially because the staff couldn't figure out how to handle the loyalty cards (we didn't have one, but both the drive-thru and front counter staff had to ask an assistant manager for help while we waited in line). The restaurant was very dirty, the garbage, recycle, and compost cans were all overflowing, the tables looked like they might have been washed sometime this month, and we didn't dare try the bathrooms, instead choosing to get back in the car and drive to the nearest rest area. The food was cold and tasted nasty. My Pepper Bacon Cheeseburger had one slice of bacon on it, which apparently costs a dollar. My wife ordered the Tillamook Cheeseburger and the cheese was moldy. The fries were hot, but way too greasy and completely bland. Other patrons had ordered the (as advertised) Fresh Oregon Strawberry milkshake only to find out that the strawberry flavor was artificial. While we were at the restaurant one of the managers brought one of the other staff members into the dining room to discipline her, while telling her that it was OK for the manager to have a flippant attitude, but not for the staff member, because the staff member had "an attitude problem" and being flippant in front of guests made the company look bad. As a manager myself, I can definitely say that your manager was right. Disciplining an employee in the dining room during a busy dinner rush (there were 3 cars waiting in drive-thru and 6 people waiting in line at the one open cash register) and ignoring the fact that the employee was obviously humiliated does make your company look bad. To top it off, on the way home, my wife and I both developed very bad gas with horrible tasting belches and had to race each other to the pepto bismol. read more

After trying it for the first time, I would rather have stopped at any other burger place than here. The chocolate shake tastes like every other average fast food shake. The cheeseburger was SO not worth it. $1.69 for a patty, a slice of cheese, ketchup, and honey mustard on a bun? You get more for less at McDonald's and it tastes way better. So disappointing. I love it that you care about your employees. What I don't love? Cold food. I gave you the benefit of the doubt the first time. Sure, my fries were soggy and old, and my burger had seen better days. I discovered Burgerville many years ago when I lived in Portland, and for close to a decade now it has pained me that there are no BV's in the Seattle area. I make a pilgrimage to Burgerville (either in Centralia or Woodland) every time I head south to Oregon, and I am never disappointed. Honestly, it puzzles me that Burgerville has expanded into the Greater Seattle area as its green business practices and use of seasonal ingredients seem like they'd make BV a hit up here. But alas...I emailed Burgerville Corporate just the other day to see if they're planning to grow into the Seattle market and there are no immediate plans. I favor the excellent Burgerville Classic Hamburger, but I can also give a thumbs-up to the Pepper Bacon Cheeseburger (with thick pieces of bacon!) as well. I prefer regular fries over the seasonal sweet potato version, but I love that BV offers various fry varieties (and Walla Walla onion rings when onions are in season). The pinnacle of goodness for me at Burgerville, though, has to be the Blackberry Shake, available in late summer. It's like blackberry pie a la mode in a cup. The Centralia Burgerville is always pretty clean and the staff is courteous. This is fast food at its best, and BV Centralia will continue to be my favorite I-5 pitstop! read more

Normally I love Burgerville... They are everywhere in Oregon and I grew up going there when I wanted a burger. Centralia is the closest Burgerville to me and whenever I take the drive to Oregon I stop and enjoy. The Centralia location is okay... They aren't as clean as the others and the service is just ... Alright.. The burgers are delicious and normally put together very neat. The last time I ordered two cheese burgers and they were everywhere, as if they had just been thrown together super fast. The fries were hot and not in a little bag, instead they were all at the bottom of the bag... Me wearing shorts, the grease soaked through the bag burning my leg. Not a good experience. The only reason they get 3 stars is because they normally have good food and they are Burgerville. The lady at the drive thru was also very helpful... Ended up pulling into a spot and getting some water and some towels to put on my leg. read more

Burgerville! Burgerville!! You know when you get invited to a friends of a friends house for a party, and you don't really know what to expect. When you get there you find out the person is SUPER cool and you want to hang out ALL the time! You want to know more about the person, and when you leave...you end up wanting to go back again and again. Sure the person might not have been the cleanest person you ever met...but their coolness made them good enough to eat!! This is similar in many ways to my experience at Burgerville. I have never been, but now I look forward to any Centralia/PDX trip in the future that allows me to stop here. Just wanted to write a review so that travelers between Seattle and Portland (or anyone traveling the I-5 corridor in this area) know there's a decent place to stop for meals, fast food-wise. I give a thumbs up to Burgerville for really trying - using seasonal produce, Oregon Country Natural Beef, the option of Halibut for their fish and chips, etc. Most importantly (and what I really appreciated when my kids were younger) - more healthy alternatives for kids meals. I don't know if they're still doing this, but they used to offer Odwalla OJ with kids meals. Another healthy-ish fast food option just one exit south would be Taco Del Mar. read more

Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try on our way home from Great Wolf (I know it's going the wrong way to home). We were excited to try it. I loved my bacon cheese burger and the shake was pretty good. My burger lover - HATED her burger and declared this place the worst place she had ever eaten (therefore everything else was also awful in her opinion). I love this Burgerville. Actually, I like all Burgerville locations, but this one holds a special place in my heart. My husband's family lives in Portland, OR, and we live in Seattle, WA. Centralia is a nice approximate mid-point, and this Burgerville hits the spot when we visit his family. Food: Burgerville food is consistent across all locations in the Portland and southern WA area. I've gotten the fish fillet (Halibut) sandwich at least the last five times I've been to any Burgerville. My husband has gotten the seasoned turkey burger, deluxe chicken sandwich, and probably more since he grew up with Burgerville. We usually each order a sandwich or burger and share a large fry. We've also gotten their smoothies/milkshakes, I think cherry and dark cocoa on separate visits. The dark cocoa smoothie/milkshake had mini dark chocolate chips in it! So yummy. The difference between their milkshakes and smoothies is that their milkshakes are made with ice cream and their smoothies are made with yogurt. It tastes essentially the same, so why not choose the healthier option? Service: Always friendly and efficient. It's cool that they give dine-in customers a number tent to put at the end of their table, and employees bring out your food for you. You don't see that at the big chain franchises. Payment: They take credit cards! Other fun facts: I've gone into a Burgerville just for their free samples (advertised ahead of time) without buying anything. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!! I did NOT like this place at all. I think this is the first time Yelp has failed me. First of all, the burgers are freaking tiny... I should have gone to Wendy's across the street for meat. I got the Walla Walla onion burger and they piled the onions up on the miniscule patty. The burger had a TON of black pepper on it, overwhelming and annoying. Then the prices? $5-6 for a burger ala carte and over a buck a piece for onion rings? Burgerville. I can't eat enough Burgerville. Every time I go to Oregon and i see the Centralia Burgerville sign, I have to go. It's mandatory -- even if we are leaving Seattle at noon, I will wait until we get to Burgerville to eat. It's THAT good. Here's why: - Grassfed, hormone free burgers with their "special" sauce. Amazing! - Free range crispy chicken sandwich -- I can't stop eating this! - Sustainable fast food is definitely the way to go. Yes, it's pricier than McDonald's, but DH and I are willing to spend a little extra for better food. The Burger was tasty but small, I think for the price they want for it... it should be bigger... Theres nothing special about the fries its the same as what Mc Donalds is serving. I'd heard a lot of great things about Burgerville, so I thought I'd try them out on a drive back to Oregon from Seattle, WA. I tried their regular cheeseburger with an order of rosemary fries. Unfortunately, the food was sub-par. The burger resembled something you might find at Jack-In-The Box, and there special sauce wasn't very tasty. I was hoping the fries was save the meal, but they weren't crispy and had too much oil. Althought Five Guy's Burgers is a few bucks more, I'll be stopping there instead of Burgerville when I get a craving for a tasty burger and fries. read more

My wife and I love Burgerville, and this is the nearest stop to Olympia so we come here when driving through on I-5. Came here for the first time on a road trip as recommended by my friend and driver. I wasn't very hungry for a meal so I got an order of their fries and onion rings. The onion rings were HUGE and delicious. The fries were just okay. I would really like to come back and try their sweet potato fries when they are in season and maybe some of their fish and chips or burgers. I like that they offer "healthy" options as well. I got a Northwest chocolate cherry frozen yogurt smoothie to go and it was sweet, cherry, and chocolaty and totally hit the spot. YUM!! read more

Let's start with the good. In a country with screwed-up health care options, Burgerville has taken the responsibility for their employees by offering full medical coverage for $15 a month, or $30 for someone with dependents. That rocks. They locally source ingredients. They print caloric information right on the receipt. It's clean. It's friendly. It's fast. Now, the bad. The food was just almost-ok. That is to say, it tasted like a fast-food burger. It wasn't the awesome wholesome burger I was expecting, but a burger that could have easily been served at any of the run-of-the-mill corporate burger chains - i.e. not-awesome. The lettuce was a bit wilted, and the whole thing could have been... better. Maybe I got them on an off-day. They'll get another shot for all the other reasons, but the food isn't it for me, yet. By itself, the meal would have been two stars. Ugh. Was it sitting under a heat lamp for a while? I don't know. It wasn't ok. Maybe if I had extra sauce or something, they would have made it special. I really, really, really wanted to like it more. I wanted it to be awesome. Make no mistake - this is the first, last, and only fast-food option in Centralia as far as I'm concerned. They have two - TWO! vegetarian burger options, care about their employees, and it's time for everyone to step up and demand all of the things that Burgerville does for their employees and community. But if they figure out how to serve an In-And-Out quality meal - hot, fresh, tasty - boy howdy, it's lights out and Burgerville dominates this and every other market it chooses to enter. This place is awesome! The milkshakes are so good! I tend to make a trip at least once every two months to Portland to visit the in-laws. So on the way home, I sometimes make a stop here for a milkshake since it's about half way home from Portland to Lynnwood. Oh yeah, order the Walla Walla Sweet Onion Rings when they have them. A must-stop on the drive from Seattle to Portland as it's about halfway in between. Quick and consistent food, and I love the seasonal items. Usually a cheeseburger basket with and extra cheeseburger makes for an excellent second half of the drive. A part of this location that I don't like is the accessibility to the drive-thru coming from I-5. For those that have been here, you have to circle the restaurant (if there is a line), or make an awkward U-Turn within the parking lot to place your order. read more

I just spent over $11 at Burgerville in Centralia WA. I ordered the fish and chips. For that amount of money I was shocked to find three very small (2 1/2 x 2" was the largest) pieces of fish and about 1 c. of fries. If I was paying $5.50 for that amount I would've shrugged and said, "not impressive but worth the money." In this case I felt cheated. Quality was okay. Not stellar, but not bad.
