Ordered the Tillamook cheeseburger which was very good. But I was here for the truffle fries which really hit the spot. The truffle fries are waffle cut, cooked crisp, and drizzled with truffle oil, local Jacobsen's salt, and some dried rosemary. Definitely gourmet for a fast food chain, but this is Portland, a foodie city, and Burgerville is known for and stands out for using local, in season bounty. Wow what a bad 2nd impression, haven't been to Burgerville for over a decade. Food - Burgerking burgers are better than this. I had ordered 2 strawberry milkshakes both with whipped cream. Picked up the order and both shakes didn't have whipped cream. Service - I didn't mind swinging back to get the whipped cream. If I was a server, I would fill these up with whipped cream properly after what happened.. Additionally, when I had called to see if they might of miss whipped cream on the milkshakes, the employee stubbornly said no. When you find one wrong thing you usually start questioning other things in the order. I hadn't eaten at Burgerville in years and now I remember why. $11 for a burger, fries, and a drink that were barely bigger than a McDonald's kids meal--and then being prompted for gratuity on top of it. The food use to be great and fresh tasting but the last 4 times I've bought the northwest Berger and fries has been terrible. I always ask for no salt and never get fries with no salt. they always have salt and look and taste like they have been soaked in rancid oil. The last four times that I've gotten a north western burger. The meat tasted old like it was on the verge of spoiling and the lettuce that they're putting in the burgers now is always wilted and not fresh like it used to be, and of course, as everyone knows the price is gone up Which when I pay $15.78 for a burger or two in this case and 4.29 for fries they should be edible and without salt like I asked. They can't make a mistake every time so they're just disregarding the fact that I asked them for no salt on the fries because I'm not supposed to have salt I get enough salt on the burger. And now they're charging $.50 per cup of spread depending on which day you go in because some people charge $.80 and I think if you're buying a meal you should get the condiments for free anyway I won't be going back. Burgerville Corp. you need to audit this place. It's nothing like the other Burgerville's I have been to. In fact after coming here several times and giving them a chance I am done! First off, the girl at the cash register in the drive-through had blue gloves on and while I was waiting for my order she took money, was in the cash register drawer, opened the dirty drive thru window, she was restocking condiments and then she went and got my order from the back.....opened the bags by sticking her whole nasty germ laden blue glove hands in the bags. Who is she protecting herself? Because she definitely was not protecting me and I am a lifelong customer. Once we got home we opened our burgers to find that they had char all over them, and both burgers were missing the dressings. The fries were also half filled and soggy. Our family has loved Burgerville for years. With 2 vegetarians in the family we loved the black bean burgers. Sadly, we can no longer eat at Burgerville because they switched to impossible burger and dropped the black bean option. I do love Burgerville because you can usually count on them to prepare what you want in the same way as the other locations. This place was a becon for me when I was super hungry and wanting something different. Its still fast food sure but there are certainly way worse things you can eat since they at least use real ingredients - local ones too and you get what you pay for. In this case a pepper bacon cheeseburger which definitely hit the spot when I really needed something too. Perfect location to save me from food deprivation.
