We just had an amazing dinner at Toscano restaurant in Williston VT. I ordered The salmon, shrimp and sausage with pesto . It is a new dish on there dinner menu . It was one of the best pasta dish I have ever had! My friend ordered the mushrooms ravioli it was beautiful as well as delicious! If you haven't tried Tascano's do yourself a favor and go. We asked for 6:30 res. To celebrate my mother's 89th birthday. We were told they would not schedule 8 top before 7:30. We arrived to a mostly empty restaurant so don't know why they wouldn't accommodate our 6:30 request. Someone in our party had multiple food allergies. Twice they brought out plates with the prohibited items on the plate. To add Insult to injury the waitress and owner were more defensive than genuinely apologetic. Came here on a Tuesday for dinner. Ordered the chicken francaise special, fra diavolo, ravioli and mussels. The mussels were delicious. The chicken was tender. The fra diavolo and ravioli were fine. The sausage kale soup was good. The service was a bit slow but think of it as a more European paced dining experience. The dinner salads were nicely dressed. Server was attentive. I am so impressed with this restaurant, it is a fantastic, renewed copy of what they had in Richmond. Service was topnotch from the moment we walked in, drinks on point, food flawlessly executed, and the atmosphere perfect. I dined last night with my sister, and we started with the beef carpaccio, which was beautifully prepared and scrumptious. For our entrées, she enjoyed the scallop and pasta dish, while I had the house-made gnocchi with sausage - both were outstanding. We couldn't resist taking desserts to go, which we later enjoyed with our spouses. The prices lean toward the higher end, but they're more than justified by the quality and overall experience. We loved this place! The ambience and service were excellent. Multiple reviews said the service was slow, but this was not our experience. Our server was attentive and extremely professional. Two of us visited this past Weds. Our server Terrie was both friendly and knowledgeable. She explain the specials nicely. Our red Pino was a very good quality. Bread was nice, house salads were generous and quiet good. The duck confit with sausage was excellent. The perfectly cooked bird with the cranberries, mushrooms and sauce over the creamy rissoto along with plenty of sausage was filling. The gnocchi was tasty and also excellent. We finished with splitting a tiramisu, yum. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining there as the interior is laid out with really good spacing of tables for privacy. I just had my first visit to Toscano's Bistro in Williston. I had never been to their previous location in Richmond. Food was delicious...outstanding. Service was great! My friend had the pork chop and I had the shrimp and scallop fra diavolo with linguine. A green side salad was included with the entrees. The only issue, if it can be called an issue, was the din of the patrons/employees, etc. was a bit on the loud side. Prices aren't for the faint of heart but are on par with other, local upscale restaurants and, in the case of Toscano's Bistro, is worth it. read more

Kind of in a hole in the wall, but as soon as you walk in, you can smell the good food and the ambience. We had an amazing waitress, who was also helping as the hostess her name was Chelsea. I hope the owner of the restaurant pays her well because she deserves every dollar I had the shrimp and scallops Fra Diablo, which was outstanding !! my wife had the pasta Bolognese, which she said was awesome also. We really loved Toscano when it was in Richmond and wanted to give this one in Williston a try. We have since been back many times and want to share our most recent experience. The owner, Max, is a complete delight! He greets you with a big smile and makes you feel warm and welcome. We sat at the bar and started with two espresso martinis that were served up frothy and fabulous. I ordered the pasta and bolognese sauce- so rich and flavorful. My husband ordered the Mediterranean pasta dish and added on some sea scallops. Scallops were perfectly cooked and the dish had wonderful flavors. The service was excellent and the entire staff was so friendly and engaging. Treat yourself to a glass of their house made limoncello - delicious!! We are so glad that Max is carrying on his family's legacy and doing it so well! read more

Would highly recommend. We arrived (with reservations) for 1st seating at 5:00 - it seemed as if they filled up quickly. Atmosphere is very nice, comfortable, cozy, almost romantic! The bar area looked very nice- and will try sitting there on our next visit. Staff was warm and welcoming, promptly with getting our drink order. Dinner was good. Artichoke dip was good, for an appetizer was enough for 4 people- calamari was okay, flavor was very good, however it wasn't quite crispy enough, it was very tender and not overly chewy. a tad soggy- I would certainly try again, just ask with wait staff to ask the kitchen for a little more attention to detail. Mushrooms ravioli was good, for me the cream sauce was a bit tight- but great flavor. Special- Pork Schnitzel was very good- the gnocchi were okay- not expert on gnocchi- but the dish overall was good. The steak was good, to be safe, get the Demi glaze on the side- Cesar salad was good and house salad were also good- Dessert was also good, cheese cake and crème brûlée. Wait staff were fun, and had a good sense of humor! Over all experience- 1-10 scale- 7- 8 maybe 8.5. You will WAIT. Been sitting here for over an hour after ordering for our meal. I asked to speak to a manager about the wait. He said that was their "style of dining". I guess that means stale bread, followed by a small salad a half hour later. As I'm writing this the manager comes back and says our order is still in the queue. Big mistake coming here. When I heard Toscanos was back, I was so excited as I loved them when they were in Richmond years ago. However I was bummed that it just didn't seem the same at all! i felt the food was pricey, and the ambience, although looked ok on the inside, is a parking lot outside...however they have done a nice job with the planters, etc. to make it look as good as possible given it is a parking lot! Service was good also. just disappointed with the food! We brought leftovers home and I didn't even want to eat it! I tried but didn't like the flavor. My partner ate it just not to waste it since he over $200.00 on the bill. I guess I should have left my memories of the Richmond restaurant as they were instead of hoping the new place would bring me nostalgia! I ordered shrimp and scallops fra diavolo, my friend had chicken piccata. Both were inedible. My dish was a pound of pasta with 3 shrimp and 3 scallops, all covered in a sauce that came out of a can. Fra diavolo it wasn't. The chicken dish was equally abominable. The bite I tried I had to take out of my mouth it was so bad. The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars is that the waitstaff was very polite, the manager was very apologetic, and we were given a complimentary dessert for our sufferings. read more

Apps arrived promptly then 30 min. +/- to order our meals. An hour later plates arrived with an explanation about the 15 top consuming the staffs attention. When we asked for a comped glass of wine to have with dinner we were again reminded by " the owner" about the 15 top... the $34.00 Fra Diavlo had 3 shrimp,3 scallops and no flavor!! This was our second time visiting Toscano. We were excited to go as we liked the ambiance and were happy with the service the first time we went in February. This time (September 2025) we felt the service was extremely slow and there were many things to improve. The soups we got were great and came out hot very soon after we ordered them. The bread was cold which is not great. A tip would be to warm the bread! Luckily we dipped them in our soup because the pieces were hard. It took a while for our salads to come and the dressing was bland. Then it took a while for our entrees to come. I understand staggering appetizers and other courses but it didn't feel intentional, it felt like they were backed up in the kitchen. The waitress asked if we wanted more drinks but I felt it wasn't worth it for the price of the cocktails. If the cocktails were better I would've gotten a second. When we got the food (bolognese & chicken piccata), it was lukewarm at best. The bolognese wasn't anything special for the price and the piccata was boring. The pasta was as stuck together like it had been sitting in the pot after it had been cooked for a while. We are disappointed as we live so close to toscano and would love to be more frequent visitors but we feel there are a lot of things to improve upon especially since they are trying to be an upscale, more expensive dining experience. We want to see them succeed so we hope there are improvements if we choose to go again! read more

We are so lucky to finally have a top-notch restaurant in Williston and be able to avoid the nightmarish drive and parking in downtown Burlington. 'Went with my wife last night, the food and service was great. My wife had the crispy artichoke hearts as an appetizer, and I had the Prince Edward island mussels. Both were delicious. 'Couldn't resist dipping the Red Hen bread in the mussels broth - it was divine. Then we both had the Pasta Bolognese - very good. I upgraded the side salad that comes with the entre to a Caesar side salad, that too was very good and a generous size for a side salad. Then we ended the meal by sharing a Creme brûlée. We had a bottle of Villa Antinori with the meal, (listed on menu as Marchesi Antinori), I've found that to be a very reliable moderately priced wine over the years. We'll be back!!! read more

It's a cute italian restaurant that doesnt have much around it. Our experience started out on a good foot with a warm welcome from a male host, however night quickly turned and could not redeem itself, unfortunately. Food- to start we ordered the bruschetta appetizer which was a little strange. It came with just 3 bread slices (all of them overly toasted to the point of being worried I would break a tooth...seriously....) which were hidden underneath a mound of chopped tomato and basil bits. While the tomato was nicely seasoned in oil and pepper, it was simply too much and I felt like I was eating a tomato salad, not bruschetta...lesson learned. The bread that is served to the table was cold, which says a lot. I was expecting warm bread rolls from a place claiming to serve authentic Italian , but no such luck. Hardened bread slices it was.....The chicken piccatta was good as an entree, however, and the butternut squash ravioli were yummy as well. I didn't get the best vibe from our waitress; I cant really put my finger on it...she was attentive and pleasant enough, but she didn't have much tact with filling in the conversation/connecting with us. Someone else dropped our check at the end of the night, which is just a no-no if you want to get a good tip (unless you are extremely busy with many other tables, which was far from our truth. I think there were 4 other people in the place when we left....) Overall an okay meal in a semi- cozy atmosphere with room for improvement all around. The first time we ate here it was a pretty positive experience. All good. Not great..... but good food. However our second visit was a big disappointment. We were warmly greeted by owner? When we arrived. And after being seated we ordered the cold gazpacho soup. It tasted like It was made with a canned tomato sauce not fresh. So although the fresh veggies were noticeable the canned base of the soup overpowered. My husband ordered the veal saltimbocca, the dish was served luke-warm and way too salty; completely inedible. My dish of pasta bolonegese arrived hardly warm. The Caesar salad was heaped with a mayonnaise dressing and the greens were old. When we told the server of the problem with the veal ( the only issue we mentioned) we got a sorry and " we took it off your check". The owner? Did not stop by the table to ask how he could make our experience better. No follow up. Sadly we will not return. We would have given it another try had the management made an attempt to make our experience better. read more

Typically, I hate paying for italian food - because well, I just do - but this restaurant made me fall in love. Wow! is there a new chef? Well last time I was there was a few years ago. Maybe it's the same chef with more experience and gusto! First of all, they were VERY nice to sit us and let us order before the official dinner hours. Most places would have said: sorry we are not opened until---pm, which would be understandable. So, kudos for the warm welcome. We had a small dinner with a soup and the quinoa and kale salad, which was unbelievably fresh and perfectly balanced: a cool salad with warm seared butternut squash cubes. We also had the special appetizer of the day. Unfortunately, I don't remember what it was, which is unlike me, but I know it was delicious and beautiful. We will be back ASAP. read more
