great tasting burger, i was worried at first, then i bit into the burger and had great flavor. I had to get a 2nd one, so if you hungry i say go for the double, i had the cheeseburger fry combo. I put mayo, lettuce onion. Not the best I have had, but for fast food and price near Dunes Resort this place was cheap and tasty. After beach & pool fun, plus it was pouring the rain, we didn't want to go back out for dinner...hubby volunteered to do a pick-up run...we chose Burky's Grill since it had good reviews & was close by. I had read the patties were thin, so my husband & I got double cheeseburgers. The reviews were right...very thin patties...was good for my child though. The burger over all was good. Not spectacular, but not bad. The fries were a little crunchy, but that was ok...I like crunchy. I felt as if the price was a little steep. We may or may not ever go back, but wouldn't rule it out. Burky's is a simple restaurant, laid back, "freaky fast" service and just simply amazing! I usually opt for more local but seafood-centric fare when on vacation at a beach BUT we have passed this place up too many times in the past! I wanted a burger and chili (for some reason on a sweltering hot day) on this Saturday and we had in laws, kids and grand kids with us, to boot! Great, no, the perfect choice ended up being Burky's! The burgers we big, fresh and very well dressed with perfectly seasoned french fries, chili cheese fries, 3-way chili (could have had a little more chili seasoning), even before we could get our ice and drinks at the drink fountain, our food was ready and exactly as ordered! Above all, the price is extremely, extremely affordable! Had to finish this visit off with a Chocolate-banana milk shake, perfect ending to a great dinner stop! We will be back before this trip is over, for sure! read more

We would have drove right past this place if we didn't find it on Yelp. Summed up, this is a burger, dog, fry and shake place. The burgers are more of the "slider" style as they are thinner but that's not a bad thing. All of the food was very good and if you're just looking for a quick meal that's not a fast food burger from McDonald's or Hardee's I highly recommend this place. (For those of you who are from the Philadelphia area the burgers and dogs compare to a Zac's Hamburgers or Nifty Fifties.) read more

After having found this place on Yelp, my husband and I went here for dinner last night. Needless to say, we will be coming back on our next visit to Myrtle Beach. The service was lightning fast (except for my chocolate milkshake, which the counter girl brought out to me), the food was wonderful, and the prices were almost ridiculously low. My husband had a loaded double cheeseburger and was so happy with it, he went back up and bought a second one. The fries were perfectly golden and crisply done and my grilled cheese was perfectly browned on both sides. My only complaint was that my sandwich had been pressed quite thin on the grill, but it did very little to detract from my enjoyment. Also, I thought it was a very nice touch that you can leave your trays on the table for the staff to clear. read more

Burkey's is the real deal! My trips to Myrtle Beach would not be complete without stopping here! I live in San Diego and have eaten at the number one burger joint on Drive ins, Diners and Dives and let me tell you this place is 10 folds better. The burgers are fresh, never frozen and cooked to perfection! And their fries OMG- you have to get a cheddar fry! Oh and the ice cream is the best ever, I don't know what they use but it is the soft creamy melt in your mouth type! Stopped in while vacationing in the area. The burgers are fantastic; they're both well-done and still juicy. The fries, which come in huge portions, are also very good. The ice cream is excellent as well. Service was efficient and friendly, and prices are very competitive with chain fast food-type places. They even clear your table when you're done.
