Hey manager, go do something about your store. Carpet is disgusting and jewelry and shit all over.
    Mo R.

I like to check out the calvin klein tops and the homeware dept that's it. The store is dirty and in such a disarray that i don't want to go back.

Wow, this Burlington must be under new management - it's clean, organized, I can find great deals and the people are friendly. I'll be back.

I wanted to share some honest feedback about the meijer at 26 mile In Washington mi I used to work…read moreat but, unfortunately, management has gotten significantly worse since I left. When I worked there, there were already issues, but it seems like the overall management and work environment have declined even more. From what I have seen and heard, there is really only one manager who consistently seems to care about the employees, does their job well, and treats people with respect. Whose name is Brandon. There is also only one employee who consistently stands out as hardworking, dependable, and dedicated. All of the customers love her. And her name is Rebecca. It is disappointing that the store seems to rely so heavily on only a couple of good people while the rest of the management team appears to lack the leadership, communication, and accountability that employees deserve. Breaks are ALWAYS late, others are getting theirs before the ones who should get them first. Good management is extremely important for employee morale and the overall success of a store. When employees feel ignored, poorly managed, or unsupported, it affects the entire workplace. I genuinely hope someone takes this feedback seriously and looks into the current management. Very extremely disappointed in the management and managers of the store.

Once again, write a review and receive an additional 10% off your order. I don't need the extra…read more10%. As was pointed out in previous reviews, I only purchase featured tag colours on Friday's. That means all my garments are $1 each. I have no issue with paying $20 as opposed to $18, in the end. The Shelby store has dropped to my second favorite location. Nothing they've done wrong or any less in the quality of the place. Dodge park has stepped it up, is all. I want you to check out the Van Dyke store. It looks small but it's really not. They are very well organized and efficient. The staff is very friendly. The deals are the same across the board of Family Centres. As is true in most every metro Detroit Sal, you never know what you will find here. There's everything from games, books, clothes, toys etc. They don't have a huge selection of furniture but they have some. One of the great assets of the Sal is kitchen items. Pots, pans, baking dishes and small appliances. I copped a neat little "happy-face pancake griddle" on my last visit here. Be prepared for a small parking area and the fact they are in a tiny strip. Pay attention, you could miss it. I will tell you I have a personal hang up about used underwear, socks, hats and, yes, silverware. That's just me. The Salvation Army Family Centre sells all this. I'm also aware of the crap you read on social media saying the CEO makes a million dollars. After seeing the prices, do you really care? Besides, a little research will tell you the million dollar theory is Horse-Hockey. Just think to yourself proceeds help the less fortunate. Considering the already low cost of everything and their willingness to barter certain items, you make out well, in the end. Everything is donated so they do, too. 2/20

I witnessed an altercation between an employee and a customer today, while the manager was present…read more The customer should have been removed from the store, and protected/stood up for the employee. Instead all the manager was worried about was how she was going to close the store alone, not how the employee was doing. At the very least the manager should have dismissed the employee and stepped in to take control of the situation. She chose to stand and watch. I have worked retail, customer service, and been in management; in this moment as a customer I felt uncomfortable that this manager was not willing to step up to make either party feel safer. The employee who had left has helped me a few times and is always friendly and compassionate. I hope she comes back :(

The racks have been changed around, the merchandise is all over the place in complete disarray, the line up was to the back of the store, items are lacking pricing, the plus size racks are so cramped you cannot shove the hangers over to look at anything. What used to be the best store of all is now the worst. Won't go back for a while. Someone needs to get it together. Perhaps a new manager?????????

Early on, I wasn't super impressed, but then things changed for the better around 2020 and it was reliably good for years. I always appreciated how well-curated the front section was, since I could feel confident that most of the really desirable items were there. If I didn't have a lot of time, I'd just peruse that area. But it was also worth exploring the whole store when I had the opportunity. I almost always left with something good. This Spring (2026) the place took a turn for the worse. I thought at first it was temporary, due to some remodeling that was taking place. Unfortunately, I don't think that's true. The remodeling seems to be done but the store is worse rather than better. With the exception of shoes, the front area is smaller and not well-organized or well-curated. In general, there seems to be a much worse selection, and the store feels cheap and a bit seedy to me. I'm not sure what happened! New manager? I hope they get this figured out or I will soon be taking this store out of my regular rotation.
