I recently had water damage to my kitchen ceiling and adjacent walls from high winds and heavy rain damage to my roof.. I was surprised to learn that asbestos was detected when the areas were tested. I hired this company to remove dry wall due to a moisture problem, and the source was not known. It was very important that I get pictures of the mold inside the wall, and was told that they would do so. They did not and would not even give me a verbal description of what was found inside. I would not have hired them had they been honest in the beginning and told me they do not provide that information. I was treated rudely by Nathan Carrasco who bid the job and made that promise. We decided to replace all our exterior wood siding after we discovered the paint contained lead. We got estimates from three different environmental companies to do the removal and not only did Burns have the lowest estimate, they were also the most knowledgeable. They worked very quickly and cleanly, covering all the doors and windows with plastic and making sure to contain all the debris. I noticed some dust inside around the windows (there were cracks between the casing and wall) and when I brought it to their attention they vacuumed it up thoroughly and then taped the cracks to prevent more dust. The job took one day more than originally estimated because of some miscommunication about which areas of the house were affected, but overall we were very happy. read more

Met with Jack Cole. I had a fire in my condo. He came quickly and gave me a quote that was submitted to my insurance company. My insurance company reduced the amount by $4000.00 the work was done. Later I found out from my contractor the job should have cost $4000- $5000 total . I paid close to $9000. This company is very expensive. It is important not to feel that you need to go with 1st bid even though the guy was very nice. read more

I would have given them a 5 except that when they put up the plastic to protect from the asbestos containing vinyl that was being removed from our kitchen and service porch, the tape that they used took off paint from our dining area and service porch. Three different kinds of paint. Since we need to repaint anyway, this isn't a serious problem for us, but if you don't want to repaint, be sure to discuss this with them and see if they can use a better tape. read more

Their customer service is terrible. I asked Mark Wresh to verify that they received my check but to no avail. Also, never received a paid in full invoice either. This is normally not a big deal but when they started the work on my property, they also sent a pre-mechanics Leon letter informing me that if they are not paid, a mechanics Leon would be filed.
