I had this restaurant on my list to try. The brisket queso is a must as it was packed with brisket and flavor. I also ordered the brisket taco, and the portion was BIG! It was full of flavor as well, so I will definitely be ordering that again in the future. I also ordered just the 1/4 pound of their jalapeno sausage to try, and it was pretty good. Prices are decent, and they have a small variety of options. It looks like the Indian fry bread is popular here, so I will have to try that next. read more

We found a best kept secret BBQ spot today. The food is delicious and service was great! We had the brisket baked potato, pork belly burnt ends, sliced brisket and taco Mac & Cheese and salmon taco. Finally got a chance to try Burnt BBQ & Tacos. Yum!! I tried the Navajo Fry Bread with Brisket, Jalapeño Citrus Slaw and Elote. The slaw was crisp with a good flavor. Not much kick to it, but that was fine with me. The elote was soo good and a generous portion with lots of cheese on top. The fry bread was huge and full of flavor. It was so big I decided to fork and knife it, but it was kind of hard to cut bc of the doughiness. I ate what I could with a fork, then picked it up to eat the rest once it was a manageable size. My wife and I went a couple weeks back based on yelp reviews and were both disappointed. The biggest disappointment was a BBQ place with 4 tables...YES, 4 TABLES!!! It wasn't a normal take your tray down the line experience you're used to, you order and they bring it to you 10 minutes later leaving me to wonder what I'm eating,, or getting. The brisket was dry and not warm, also, there was a lack of sides. I prefer bbq beans and mac and cheese, neither were an option. I tried a 1/4lb of brisket and the brisket taco. the taco would be better without the ancho sauce...the only good thing I can say about this place was the avocado crema on the taco, it was bomb! Other than the poor food experience all drinks were bottled, no fountain drinks and we couldn't tell if there was an available bathroom for guests. if there was a sign, I missed it and if there was one you'd have to go through doors that seem to lead to the kitchen. read more

Went to see what all the 5 stars were about. Dining room has 4 tables. We ordered brisket, pork, a side of twice baked potato salad and a brisket taco. I love potato salad and this was barely once baked. The potatoes were cut large, making them a bit al dente. It wasn't mixed well, there was gobs of mayo at the bottom of the container. Not much flavor but now I have a terrible mayo after taste and I only ate a few bites. The pork was really moist and flavorful, but wasn't warm. The brisket was dry and cold. Not much flavor and we ended up leaving $15 of brisket on our trays. The brisket taco was okay and had a lime crema to make it tolerable. The restaurant had no bathrooms visible, unless they allow guests in the back. They don't have fountain drinks. Bottled sodas and bottled water. The BBQ sauces on the table were not my favorite and didn't do the meat any favors. I did like the Texas toast. I normally don't want the bread at places bc it fills me up...but i ended up eating all my toast actually bc I was hungry. I had high hopes for this one read more

Customer service is awful. We placed a small group order on the website for lunch. Went to pick up at the expected time and they hadn't even pulled the order let alone started making it. Waited for order to be completed and store confirmed everything in bag. 2 orders completely missing and the food was cold. It is less than 3 miles from the office. I am updating my review because I gave this place a second chance. I first visited when they had been open for about a week. Major difference from when I first visited to now. This is why I always give a new place a second try. I had the sampler platter and the brisket was moist and yummy this time. The pulled pork is great, ribs were good and sausage was good too. Also tried the dessert Indian bread and it was delicious too. The bbq sauce is a bit heavy on the chili powder for my taste but it's not terrible. You almost don't even need the sauce anyway. Overall much better then my original time eating here and I would now recommend giving it a try! read more

I thought I've been to every single bbq plus in the Dallas area until I stumbled apon this place. So yes I've been to at 50 bbq places. This place is, okay.... The meats where lukewarm and not much flavor or smoke..? The sides and desserts are what truly gave it the theee stars. The beans where a A, elote was a B+, butttt the fry bread was a A++. I didn't try any of the tacos but a few other people there where eating every last bit of them so maybe next time I will try them. Extremely disappointed. I've been really excited to try this place out after reading tons of good reviews. We ordered 2 brisket tacos, a pulled pork taco, a burnt ends taco and the cup of elote. Not only did it take forever for us to get our food, everything was cold, flavorless. You'd think we would at least get lukewarm tacos for $30. If you order to go, be sure to check if your food was even warmed up before you leave. We opened our food in the parking lot because we have our dog with us and the tacos tasted like they were left out for quite some time before we got them. read more

Good barbeque. It had good review on yelp and just visited. Not much bbq restaurants I have tried, but tried hard eight, Hutchins, Lockhart et cetera. This place doesn't look really fancy like hard eight, Hutchins, but it has great flavor. Flavor: Some barbeque (brisket) has too much fat, but my choice (lean) doesn't leave oily flavor inside your mouth. I can't comment about wet, but I liked this lean brisket. Inside : it is small sized restaurant, but if you want to have a quick to-go or stop by with small number of people, no problem at all. Price : Not crazy expensive and pretty good price with great portion. It doesn't give you much of "barbequeue in Texas" atmosphere inside of the restaurant, but it tastes great and you can find good service there. read more

I would go so far as to say that this is the best barbecue I have had in Dallas. Lived here my whole life. The only place that I've had better barbecue, or at least equal to his Pappys in St. Louis. Tried this place for the first time. All I can say is I'm totally not impressed. The ribs were so tough I could barely rip them from the bone. The lady at the next table sent hers back because they were so tough. The tiny sample of the pork belly was okay but the cilantro lime sauce was almost nonexistent, just a few drops. The jalapeño slaw was forgettable. It needed salt and vinegar. It was tasteless. The Elote was very good and the beans were excellent. Otherwise, they'd be getting 1 star. I've had Burnt for take-out three times in two months. This shouldn't be taken lightly. You're talking about a person who eats bar-b-que once every two years. We've had the Family Meal Kits three times (2 smalls and 1 large). The kit comes with 3 meats: smoked brisket (my favorite), roasted garlic pulled pork (hubby's favorite and he is not a porky eater), roasted poblano smoked sausage; 3 sides: twice baked potato salad (PNENOM), jalapeno citrus slaw (don't worry, it's not spicy), and pinto beans; Texas toast; bar-b-que sauce, and a side of picked red onions and jalapenos. Warning - Family says it serves 6-8, we had 6 adults and didn't even touch the second tray of meats. Everything in the kit was great. I even ate the pinto beans! Note, I only speak to what I tried. Again, I am not a bar-b-que person so did not order the ribs. We did get the elote, you can never go wrong with this. I prefer less cream in my elote. There was a lot of cream. The good this is that the cream is set on top of the corn so you can always scrape off what you don't want. Final note, I've tried Pecan Lodge in Dallas and Teddy Black's in Austin, which I waited an hour in line at both. Burnt rivaled these two award-winning BBQ joints without the line. **** I'll have to remember to take pictures next time. read more
