Does this mean that all burritos are giant sized or is this a ploy to get me in here? Well, I found out! The burritos are definitely bigger then the average burrito and the contents are large sized. Although the restaurant itself is not the biggest in size, who really cares if the burritos can feed a family! I actually could not finish this meal at all and although I gave it a good try, I lost. I got the carne asada and actually it was way too much to even attempt to finish. It is overstuffed to the hilt and of course that's a proud moment for them to brag! Now I came back for shrimp a la Veracruz ana. Bot spicy which is what we asked for this time, and they are seriously really good. The dinner has it all so defintely don't skimp. I love a place that takes pride in their foods served to the public, this is what you call coming into the home of s true Mexican family. Burrito Grande is a go big or go home kind of place. I visited Burrito Grande with my fiance because it is his favorite place to visit during his lunch breaks. The inside of Burrito Grande is tiny. I would not visit with more than one other person because they had a large group in the restaurant when I visited and they only had two tables available for other customers. They do have an outdoor sitting area which doubles the sitting but in the colder months/during inclement weather they only have the indoor sitting. I quickly noticed that Burrito Grande has a massive burrito that I just had to order. I realized the large burrito has something to do with the name. The prices of the food are pretty reasonable especially for the large burrito. The large burrito is easily three regular sized burritos, they will be skinny burritos but I digress. I suppose the idea of a massive burrito was too good to be true. The actual burrito was okay at best. I think the fact that the burrito is so large there is a lot of room for error such as some dried meat and not being so flavorful. It was a great photo op but that was able it. read more

My mom and I have been coming here for years! it's become our favorite Sunday spot. We really enjoy the service and food. It's definitely Mexican authentic, and often times, our waiter will recommend new dishes they are preparing. We always feel welcomed. Its a tiny spot but that what we love about it. Really good small family owned Mexican restaurant. I would put their al pastor burrito up against anyones. It is the best. The staff has been very friendly to me and when I come back they remember my order. Very smart. BYOB and relax for good home made food. I have been here about 30 times and the quality of the food (al pastor) is always amazing. The burrito has the tortilla a little toasted around the edges and good flavor. Spicy salsa. Low prices too. This place is small. I remember coming here a few years back for a quick bite. Decided to come check it out again. There are maybe 5-6 tables in there. Service is nice and friendly. We were served chips and salsa, but no spicy pickled carrots. Horchata - The large was huge. It was ok. Shrimp Cocktail - Shrimps they use weren't the big kind. Also, I wasn't too fond of the sauce. Taco Plate - Basically, it's just 6 tacos. I chose 2 steak, 2 al pastor, 1 tongue and 1 chicken. These were good, but not the best I had. I only had the tongue and steak. I asked for just lettuce and tomato, but I think they accidentally added cilantro. I preferred the red sauce over the green. Carne Asada - My guy enjoyed it. I had a small piece and thought it wasn't too bad. He liked that grilled taste to it. Overall, it's not a bad place. Would go back and maybe try the burrito or tacos again. Food is what you would expect from a small Mexican restaurant, good but nothing special. My problem was customer service. I take medication that gives me very bothersome dry mouth, and so I never go anywhere without my $40 glass water bottle. I put my bottle on the table while we ate, accidentally left it, and only drove home. I called back a couple hours later...it was mysteriously gone! Our waitress had already left cause her shift was over, so I called back twice the next day and visited the restaurant and still my water bottle was nowhere to be found! The woman I met with in person called our waitress on speakerphone, and as she skirted around answering where it was, it became very obvious that she stole it. Disappointing experience. If you go here, make sure you chain all of your belongings to your being so you aren't a victim of theft from the employees as well. read more

Cleanliness - Not really (especially the kitchen) Service - Friendly Food - I ordered a Chili Relleno taco (hoping against hope Id finally found a mexican joint that makes 'em as AWESOME as Taco Erendira in Bridgeport (if you've tried them, then you know exactly what Im talking about) Alas, no such deal - once again, if your idea of a good CR is how Pete's Market makes and sells them, ie, bland pepper, filled with bland waxy melted cheese, egg battered and fried - then you are a winner - in having bad taste buds ;-) I also ordered an al pastor (marinated pork) I took one bite and had to spit it out. If my taste buds are more geared toward "americanized mexican"...then GOOD FOR ME, cuz that means I like my food WITH FLAVOR. They may be trying a little to hard by offering a very large menu with only 4 tables available inside this tiny place. They do have out door sitting if you want to enjoy the traffic passing by and again only another 3-4 tables. They seem to push catering. Perhaps they should only focus on catering and deliver. Nothing bad about it. Nothing particularly great about it either. Pretty standard mexican burrito/taco place. Oh, yeah they grilled them, that was nice. Coke in glass bottles was a plus too, and the kinda racist episode of Bonanza they were blaring on MeTV was pretty dope-- I really liked the argument between little john and hoss about which one did or did not know the difference between a matador and a macarena... I think i might have just realized that i really don't like burritos all that much-- maybe I like super tyte ones made by bourgeois californians with fancy shit in them-- but as for your standard mexican stand type, I'm really not that big of a fan and should stick to tacos. You do not know if the chef is picking his nose because there is a closure which you cannot see the chef preparing your food. A place well deserving of its name they serve a 16-inch burrito however I went for the regular size. It was grilled to perfection there a tortilla shell was grilled so well that it did not fall apart upon eating. I ate a steak burrito and it was very good quality steak very little to none grizel. Single worst tacos I've ever had. I took one bite and the meat was horrible. This was single handedly the toughest meat I've ever bitten into. My teeth hurt now i couldn't even finish one taco. I usually came here for the enchilada dinners or lunch specials but lately the boss lady's attitude has gotten worse. The food is not particularly great and usually the meat is probably pre-cooked which is why it usually tastes stale. I'm not too happy with how I asked her I was ready to order today and she asked another two guys first before me. That really pissed me off!!! Anyway, I'm staying away from this place for good. Fix your stinky attitude lady because no one likes a pompous and gives preferential treatment to others. The only friendly person working there is the Mexican guy who cooks and is really considerate and kind to everyone. I would give 6 stars for his service and good attitude. So on July 31, 2017 first time I visit this restaurant. Restaurant was empty maybe because it's Monday? . The cashier seem she had an attitude. When taking orders she was horrible telling customers '' hold on listen to me first''. Prices are high for the food quality. I ask for avocado for my burritos and torta , I was charge the extra ingredient fee. I arrived home the food was not the best salty meat and no avocado. Went looking for a bite to eat about 10 pm and found this place--it was just right for what we wanted. Fast, personable service; clean and pleasant interior; food cooked immediately when we ordered and came out piping hit and delicious. DS had tilapia plate (came with rice, salad, tortillas) and raved about it. I had chicken taco--fairly ordinary dish but this taco was excellent. Have gone to Burrito Grande for the last 10 years, food is always good, service has always been excellent our orders are always correct. Recently hired them for a taquiza for a Graduation party. From confirming my date and menu to arriving on time, the service was courteous and professional. The food was excellent our guests thoroughly enjoyed the food. Everything we ordered was finished. They even stayed over their time to accommodate late guests. Highly recommend Burrito Grande for everyday or catering. read more
