I stopped here during break at work! I had a burrito jr with chicken. I was starving so the fact that I got my food in less than 10 minutes was amazing. The burrito was just right to curb my appetite because I had about 3 hours left of my shift. The lady gave me one red and one Green salsa. The green was just right the red smelled hot so I didn't want to mess with it. But I would definable come back and try the tacos! read more

I love the food. The service is great. The prices have jumped incredibly since the former owners retired, but it's not too high in price. The staff at the counter speak both Spanish and English, so that is most helpful. The food is prepared in front of you, and they produce made to order items with incredible speed and accuracy. read more

I found a new favorite Mexican restaurant. I needed to grab something quick to eat on my way from the airport to downtown. And Burrito Joint is located off I-70 so it was very convenient. I ordered Al Pastor and Steak tacos. They were ready quickly. They gave me So. Much. Meat! (Pictured) Along with a lot of onion and cilantro- just how I like them. Both of them were 10/10 easily. I think I just found some of the best tacos in town! Inside, the dining area is no frills and simple but was kept clean. I also enjoyed Jamaica drink. I'll definitely go back. read more

I decided to give this place another try for the nostalgia. Since moving to Indiana over 25 years ago, this place has been a go-to. The food quality has improved much since the last time I came. I noticed one of the old cooks was back there again. It's not quite the same as it used to be, but it is decent. Happy to see they accept card now. read more

This is a nice authentic Mexican food restaurant. It is located in a somewhat sketchy area and has a few parking spots out front and along the side of the restaurant. They have a decent sized dining area with Mexican music playing softly in the background. First and foremost, this place is CASH ONLY. So, I had to run to an ATM with the closest working one (the one across the street was broken) being at the Speedway located on Holt Road. Once I got back from my journey to the ATM, I ordered a steak torta with a side of fries. I did not want a typical soda so, I got a cup of their horchata to wash my food down. My meal was prepared in less than 5 minutes. I practically had just sat down. It was fresh and hot. I only took one bite for me to determine that I was in love. The torta was so delicious. Very tasty and flavorful. I liked the horchata as well. It was something different, but in a good way. I really liked my meal here. I was delicious to say the least and was prepared faster than you traditional fast food restaurant. The food is awesome and reasonably priced. I highly recommend checking this place out, but remember, bring your cash. read more

My go to spot for tacos in Indy!! Authentic and delicious! I ordered the Lengua tacos with cilantro& onions and a side of beans with a bottle of Coca Cola to wash it down. Meat was tender and flavorful with some of the best refried beans in Indy!! The staff is always friendly and provide fast service. This "Burrito Joint" was full of locals. There are only three restaurants in the immediate vicinity which may be the result of higher than average business. Most buildings in this area are business commercial. The place offers a limited selection of Mexican choices and a single confusing gyro choice. They only take cash which is frustrating in this day and age. I got a burrito because the name of the business implies good burritos. My burritos lettuce was warm and soggy and the meat was just average. I was equally unimpressed by the local hot sauce which lacked flavor and heat. Overall i wasn't impressed with my meal. It's a lot of the same kind of stuff I find in Indiana. read more

This burrito spot is super fresh and fast! My fiance went inside to order a burrito and came back in less than 5 minutes with a horchata as well. It smelled so good I asked for a bean and veggie burrito (the only veggie friend option really next to rice and beans). It was super tasty, light (for being so big!), and I felt satisfied after eating it. Pro tip: definitely get some salsa to dip! read more

Super sad to hear about the change of ownership. This used to be my favorite taco spot. Unfortunately, with change of ownership the quality of food deteriorated. I came here on a recommendation from a person who used to live in Southern California, so I thought he would know what's a good burrito and what ain't. My opinion: My burrito was alright. Let's break it down. The tortilla was really good. The beans were really good. So was the rice. But as a whole, the burrito was just a whole lotta the same Mexican stuff you find in Indiana. Food was delicious. Got the king burrito dinner and it was only $13. My friend had an unfortunate incident of accidental flatulence as we exited the restaurant after eating. He meant no disrespect to the staff and feels very bad about it. Also, the customers sitting next to the door heard it so I had to apologize. read more

Its a cheap, cash-only place with good Mexican street food. I usually pay them a visit when I go to the Tibbs Drive-In theatre which is in the same neighborhood. The burritos are big and come with plenty of hot peppers. Quite good - but nothing that would make this place a destination by itself. Its a sold anchor for good, cheap eats in the neighborhood. The guys behind the counter a really friendly and have a good relationship with the locals. There are lots of regular patrons here. read more

Little hole in the wall at the corner of Holt and Morris. Authentic Mexican food run by few a guys from Mexico. They know good Mexican food at a cheap price. Get the the Burrito King with beef or chicken. This is the bomb and will keep you full all day. Wash it down with an ice cold Jarritos. The hot pickled veggies come as a side-really good! read more

One of the best Burritos I have ever had! The venue is CASH ONLY, and this will ruin your experience if you're not prepared. The price point is great here. Less than $6.00 for a king burrito which is almost a foot long. Steak chicken or beef, you can't go wrong. The venue is dated and in an interesting part of town, but that shouldn't deter you from going to this hidden gem for the quality of food you'll receive. Make sure you get the hot sauce too! read more

Talk about an authentic hole in the wall place, I moved here from California 15 yrs ago, this was the first Mexican restaurant and one of the only 2 that existed here in Indianapolis when I first arrived. I've been coming here since! their food is great, authentic, fast service, feels and tastes like back home! The guys are awesome, funny, and they have their own soccer team and always have some conversation going on with everyone eating in, I feel like I'm eating at my moms when I'm here lol not the best looking establishment, but definitely worth trying out! Prices are beyond reasonable, portions are pretty big, and on weekends they have delicious Menudo and Pozole!!! read more

This place has pretty good food. I have only had the Burrito King and the Gyro, but those alone were delicious. The Gyro has some kind of ground up pork, Im guessing. They serve it piping hot to you with sauce, onions and sliced tomatoes on it! The King Burrito is my favorite. I have had it with the chicken and steak. You get to choose from chicken, beef or steak when you order, and it is stuffed with everything you can imagine! I do wish they had guacamole though! They have a sauce In a squeeze bottle that they give you when your food is done.. I'm not quite sure what kind of pepper it is made of but it is not hot at all and is tastes so good. On the other hand they give you a jalapeno mixed medley when your food is ready also, and it is quite HOT! Too hot for me! Everyone else loved it though. They really get your food done quick too, I think the most I have waited was maybe three minutes tops. read more

Small place we happen to stumble upon. Had pork taco with onion and cilantro. He had chicken taco. Liked that it wasn't super salty and the marinate for the pork was really good. Needed lime and I didn't ask for any. Staff was very friendly and noticed that counter lady addressed regulars by name. Dining area full. This place burrito joint is a joke the food is to high priced for the quality I got the steak king burrito no flavor not seasoned just not happy at all.. then i got for appetizer nachos supreme now that dish was a joke chips and all cold had a couple spoon fulls of sour cream. And the nacho cheese discusting. Look like added water and it was so thin looked like soup. For a Mexican owned restaurant you give the Mexican name a black eye. I've had better burritos an food from taco bell an if you cant beat out taco bell then you might as well stop cooking . So over all rating I would give a negative 10 stars I wouldn't feed this food to my worst enemy. Dont have to worry on me coming back. read more

Stopped in for a quick burrito, to go. It's wasn't the best or the biggest burrito I've had, but wasn't bad. Just a tad pricey at 5 plus bucks for a burrito ala carte. It's an above average "burrito-ville" for the Indy area, thus the 4th star. But I was really on the fence... considering the mostly average food and the price. I'm sorry but I have no idea what the hype is about this place. I did take out for us. Really wasn't too impressed with any of the items we purchased. I did eat all of my steak burrito so at least I didn't go hungry but it was fairly tasteless with none of the onions or cilantro I asked for. This is no La Pasadita in Chicago so I'm sad because I'm still looking for a good burrito asada with onion and cilantro in this town. read more

Tlaolli stood out for its vegan offerings. Plenty of vegan taco options, birria (an absolute rarity to see vegan birria), and torta. They offer soy chorizo, jackfruit, and king oyster mushrooms as protein options. The exterior is colorful, and inside there are seating options. We had gotten our food to go, so I cannot comment too much on the service. Had placed our order online, and the food was ready within the estimated time in the order. We ordered the vegan birria tacos ($17.99), the vegan torta ($10.99 base but added soy chorizo, which was $3.99), and the no-no-no taco ($5.99). Our total with fees was approximately $45. Tlaolli offers outdoor seating, so when the weather is nicer this would be a good place to come. Next to the East Washington IPL branch, Tlaolli has a colorful green exterior with neon signage. Food: The food was very good. The proteins were nicely seasoned and juicy. The highlight for me was the birria tacos and the consome. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 10/10. This is a great local business in the area to support: offers a diverse menu of options with food that is comforting and tasty.

I'm pretty sure the owner was the one who waited on us. He was friendly and so patient while we decided what to order. I had the chicken chipotle tacos since I remembered them being so good last time but I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
