I found a new favorite Mexican restaurant. I needed to grab something quick to eat on my way from the airport to downtown. And Burrito Joint is located off I-70 so it was very convenient. I ordered Al Pastor and Steak tacos. They were ready quickly. They gave me So. Much. Meat! (Pictured) Along with a lot of onion and cilantro- just how I like them. Both of them were 10/10 easily. I think I just found some of the best tacos in town! Inside, the dining area is no frills and simple but was kept clean. I also enjoyed Jamaica drink. I'll definitely go back.

My go to spot for tacos in Indy!! Authentic and delicious! I ordered the Lengua tacos with cilantro& onions and a side of beans with a bottle of Coca Cola to wash it down. Meat was tender and flavorful with some of the best refried beans in Indy!! The staff is always friendly and provide fast service. This is a cash only business, don't worry if you forgot your money there is a ATM across the street.

This burrito spot is super fresh and fast! My fiance went inside to order a burrito and came back in less than 5 minutes with a horchata as well. It smelled so good I asked for a bean and veggie burrito (the only veggie friend option really next to rice and beans). It was super tasty, light (for being so big!), and I felt satisfied after eating it. Pro tip: definitely get some salsa to dip!

Impossibly fast: less than 5 minutes, in and out to purchase two, fresh King-size burritos. Recommended to get steak. Also salsa on the side (so it's dippable). NOTE: Cash only! Be sure you've got enough! A lunch for 2 (large burritos) will be less than 20 bucks. Lastly, I love the homemade tortillas.

I came here on a recommendation from a person who used to live in Southern California, so I thought he would know what's a good burrito and what ain't. My opinion: My burrito was alright. Let's break it down. The tortilla was really good. The beans were really good. So was the rice. But as a whole, the burrito was just a whole lotta the same Mexican stuff you find in Indiana. Lettuce and sour cream, etc. But one thing Burrito Joint has going for it is that it does NOT put sauce on its burritos. Honestly, I should give them another star just for that. Cash only! They do not accept credit or debit cards.

Its a cheap, cash-only place with good Mexican street food. I usually pay them a visit when I go to the Tibbs Drive-In theatre which is in the same neighborhood. The burritos are big and come with plenty of hot peppers. Quite good - but nothing that would make this place a destination by itself. Its a sold anchor for good, cheap eats in the neighborhood. The guys behind the counter a really friendly and have a good relationship with the locals. There are lots of regular patrons here.

Food here is always tasty. I love their tacos and tortas. The hot sauce they give you is great as well. You have to pay with cash.

Great place. Simple delicious food. Real customers too, not suits who think it's cool to be in a hole in the wall.

I got the Langostino Quesadilla that I loved! It was a really big quesadilla too. We ordered agua frescas tonight, but their bar menu is huge and I definitely want to be back for margaritas on their patio. This is prime location for patio season. All our service was very professional and fast. Bonus perk there is a free parking garage attached.... Makes going out to eat downtown way less stressful!

Overall a chill environment and ith a nice front patio/ sidewalk seating area. We enjoyed the chips n salsa varieties, surprisingly the darker salsa wasn't spicier just a different flavor. Orde re d the chicken burrito which was gigantic easily enough for 2 to share. Very well made fresh ingredients, covered in sauces and cheesy. And we all tried different margaritas, mine was a strawberry fruity take on a margarita, good and garnished nicely. Rated fresh and flavorful, not very strong and a bit pricey. Especially with some being $100+ for a drink was wild. Overall nice place, nice environment, wasn't busy and tasted good but is priced higher than most Mexican restaurants in the city.

Driving through…read morehere, you see the blight and the abandonment of this area of Indianapolis since the decline of manufacturing. Then again, it's not an uncommon story unfortunately- large parts of the city forgotten in terms of economic development but then suddenly needed during times of campaigning. Had taken Keystone and then Rural Street to get here, and the potholes are not kind. But, we had this place on our list and were determined to make it here at least once. Tlaolli stood out for its vegan offerings. Plenty of vegan taco options, birria (an absolute rarity to see vegan birria), and torta. They offer soy chorizo, jackfruit, and king oyster mushrooms as protein options. The exterior is colorful, and inside there are seating options. We had gotten our food to go, so I cannot comment too much on the service. Had placed our order online, and the food was ready within the estimated time in the order. We ordered the vegan birria tacos ($17.99), the vegan torta ($10.99 base but added soy chorizo, which was $3.99), and the no-no-no taco ($5.99). Our total with fees was approximately $45. Tlaolli offers outdoor seating, so when the weather is nicer this would be a good place to come. Next to the East Washington IPL branch, Tlaolli has a colorful green exterior with neon signage. Food: The food was very good. The proteins were nicely seasoned and juicy. The highlight for me was the birria tacos and the consome. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 10/10. This is a great local business in the area to support: offers a diverse menu of options with food that is comforting and tasty.

I'm pretty sure the owner was the one who waited on us. He was friendly and so patient while we decided what to order. I had the chicken chipotle tacos since I remembered them being so good last time but I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
