I'm sorry but I have no idea what the hype is about this place. I did take out for us. Really wasn't too impressed with any of the items we purchased. I did eat all of my steak burrito so at least I didn't go hungry but it was fairly tasteless with none of the onions or cilantro I asked for. From the Yelp reviews, I had a feeling that this was going to be either awesome or awful. Sadly, it was the latter. We ordered cheese fries, poppers, steak burrito and veggie burrito to go (well, hubs did)... and extra hot sauce. First the cheese fries...soggy and tasteless. I know the cheese sauce can make fries soggy, but this was a was the fat not hot enough or has the fat been used a few too many times kind of soggy. In the garbage they went. The poppers were, well, edible. Very little heat and very greasy. The hot sauce helped, but the hot sauce isn't actually that hot. Hubs ate the steak burrito, noting all the grease on the foil wrapper. He certainly wasn't wowed by it. As for the veggie burrito, I'd like to say it wasn't the worst I've had, but I'd be a liar if I did! The inside of it was a soggy mess and it tasted exactly that way too. One bite was all I could muster. Bland fried beans, some lettuce and it was like I could taste the sogginess. It was also very greasy for a burrito. Small little place that you probably would pass on exterior alone, but it is absolutly worth going into and trying something on their menu. My personal favorite is the Pork #2 Tacos. They perfectly season the pork with some great spices and heat, and then throw some cilantro and onion and a little lime juice. Its a great meal at a small little place. Anyplace with a burrito for 5 bucks that's this big and tasty deserves 5 stars. I've had the pastor and the steak, and they are both fantastic. The meat is tender, juicy, and flavorful. The fillings are all excellent. I'll be coming back to try the chicken burrito next. Then the gyro. Then tacos. Then fried chicken. I'm glad I don't live too close to here, or I would be a whale. read more

This place is pretty decent. The decor isn't great but the food is pretty good. The horchata is excellent! We live close so it's great to stop by and get carry out food. My husband really likes the gyros. Yes gyros at a burrito joint. It works! The tacos are authentic and well seasoned. The in house taco sauce is a bit boring so I usually skip that. :) read more

This place has awesome food. I have been there twice and got burritos both times because it was too good to try anything else! Service is fast and friendly. All at a great price (foot long(ish) burritos for $5!). I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick and cheap lunch. Just remember to bring cash. Was in the mood for some authentic Mexican food so we decided to give this place a try. I have to say we were far from pleased with the quality of the food. We tried the pork taco, Nacho supreme and steak torta. The taco was very greasy and lacked flavor. The nachos were decent but the torta was very skimpy on the meat and the lettuce on it was wilted. We won't be eating there again. I think we will stick to the Tamale Place or El Meson the next time we're in the mood for Mexican (which won't be for a long time thanks to the Burrito Joint)!!! read more

Burrito joint is hands down the best tacos, tostadas, and burritos in Indy! The perfect hangover cure! Staff is always friendly and upbeat. Prices are great. The food and service are 100%, all the time. Great place, would recommend to anyone. read more

Great burritos: large & grilled. The kind you pick up to eat. Several types of salsa. The meat portion is good sized, not skimpy. Good amount of cheese. My absolute go to spot for tacos! I always get the steak cilantro and onion tacos with hot sauce and extra lime juice. My boyfriend always gets the chicken tacos with hot sauce. The nachos are amazing also! And got to have a horchata to wash it all down with! We love Louis and he is always nice and friendly and playful with our daughters when they come with us. This is authentic Mexican food. The food is seasoned well. The wait time is excellent so I don't have to wait very long for them to have the food ready. They make the food fresh.
