This place looks like a Chinese takeout place but makes some pretty damn good Mexican. Prices are very reasonable, the staff is very friendly and the food is excellent. Reminds hubby & me of a Mexican take-out place in Queens, also run by Asians. It's not quite authentic, and tastes NOTHING like Taco Bell... if you don't go in expecting either, you will enjoy your meal! My favorite thing to order by FAR is the guacamole taco. It's not fancy, and it doesn't have a ton of toppings... but it's relatively inexpensive (~ $2) and it's definitely yummy. You also can't beat the value here. For only $6 you can get a combo plate... two fresh tortillas (or substitute 2 hard taco shells), a generous helping of rice & beans, sour cream/salsa, and a choice of two "fillings" (chicken, beef, jalapeno, guacamole, etc). AND a free can of soda. Wow! The meat isn't anything to write home about, but for an inexpensive alternative to Taco Bell you can't beat Burrito Mariachi. If you can get past one of the most confusing language barriers I've ever encountered, this is the Mexican spot for you. The food... oh my god the food, it's amazing, it's unique and it's affordable! They have a twist on a few Mexican items as well as some authentic food. The language barrier makes it nearly impossible to order over the phone or even explain an order in person because it's a Mexican restaurant run by Asian entrepreneurs. So just imagine trying to order Mexican items over the phone to someone who doesn't speak the greatest English or Spanish... it's rough. If you can make it past that and stick to a simpler order without any substitutions you will not regret ordering. I have ordered twice from their online menu and both times my order has been "lost" after receiving an itemized receipt in my email. After 1 1/2 hour wait and no delivery I called only to find out that their website is not working and I am not getting a delivery. More troubling was they completely did not care....quote "our website orders not going through, too bad"...Well, this will be the last time I ever order from here. Bad enough that they have increased prices through the roof under what seems to be new ownership but the horrible attitude and customer service marks the end for this place for me. The place could use a serious sprucing up & a little lesson on how to get repeat customers. I walked in, and all of the employees were just sitting around doing nothing, reading books, etc. Looked like they couldn't be bothered to help a customer. Then a young boy, literally looked like he couldn't be more than 10 or 11 came and asked me if I was picking up - I said no I have to order, and he walked away. Then a girl came out of the back and took my order. I will give two stars because my food came out quick, but it definitely wasn't great. It is also a pet peeve of mine when places like this don't give you chips with your order. For a $12 burrito that was a little light with filling... you could spring the 99¢ to give your customers some chips to make it a decent meal. I was, also, given a random side cup of salsa... but, for what? Burrito Mariachi is just ehhh in my opinion. I got the lazy Mike steak burrito ... it was almost all fries, little steak. And waaaay too much of the spicy mayo. I watched her squeeze a wholeee bunch of it - a tiny little blop of guac and I can barely find the sour cream. Found this place by accident... All I can say is AMAZING!! When we first walked in it looked like a take out Chinese restaurant. My first instinct was to leave. I was looking for a burrito not chicken and broccoli!! I'm so so so happy I stayed! I got what's called "burrito in a bowl" and it was TO DIE FOR!!! It was basically a burrito in a bowl instead of wrapped in a tortilla. My boyfriend had a grande burrito which he said was so good and huge. We also shared a small quesadilla which was tasty too. It's more of a take out place although they have 2 or 3 tables to sit at. The one problem now is I am addicted, cannot get enough. I recommend if you like Tex mex definitely try this one read more

For what it is, A reasonably priced fresh Mexican take-out joint, this place rocks! Inside it feels like a Chinese food takeout, Limited seating, line cooks making fresh flour tacos, open grill, and packing station.. But this place is about the food.. Fresh ingredients Mexican-style. My husband and I love this as an fresh ingredient alternative to Taco Bell, but sadly my teenager still prefers TB. The by the pound fajitas easily serve dinner for four at under $20. The burritos are huge, a full meal in itself. The fresh guacamole is always good. The fresh flour tortillas can be simple with protein, or spruced up with cheese tomato and lettuce. We keep trying stuff here and we've never had a bad meal. Perfect for weekday take out. We have been ordering from this restaurant since it's inception. It was always great food, value and quick delivery. Tonight was a disappointment. The grilled chicken tostada salad is much smaller than normal. At least 1/4 smaller. The jalapeño poppers, it says 6 pieces but they only gave us 5 and normally served with a red sauce-- was served with Ketchup? The tortilla chip's bag is normally full, but today it was 1/2 full. The Mexican rice normally a full container was 1/2 full. The serving sizes are being downsized and are wimpy. I called to speak to the manager and they told me that they weren't there, when I inquired when they would be returning, they said they did not know. Poor response! read more

Came for a late lunch. I ordered a salad bowl with chicken and guacamole . It was tasty. I minuses one star because they only had iceberg. I asked for Romaine lettuce but they didn't have any. My son ordered the steak chimichanga and enjoyed it. The place is clean and spacious and I wish they would get some grilled veggies or maybe have other types of veggies in the salad. 5 star for Burrito Mariachi! Ordered via phone during COVID-19 pandemic and was able to pay over the phone and they brought the food out to my car. I ordered a bunch of different tacos, quesadillas, sides and fed 5 hungry men, myself and my mother with leftovers all for only $93. Now I'm a little more bitter today because it is cinco de Mayo and we ordered our meal online. An hour and half later (we were cutting them more slack than usual due to the rush) we call you find out they aren't taking orders online even though it did not say that anywhere on their website! The first time I ordered from this place I was given 3 cheese only quesadillas instead of 3 chicken quesadillas. Maybe it was the way I ordered it. The next time I ordered, I was given 3 quesadillas instead of the 3 chicken quesadillas I ordered. I called back and was told it was my fault. Not to be disparaging, but I think my English measures up a lot better than theirs. If you doubt this, call them. I called back to complain, but was advised I needed to return the cheese only quesadillas if I wanted the chicken. They were holding my chicken quesadilla's hostage. I tried my best to cut a deal, but the manager would not relent. He told me I had to pay $5 if I wanted to see chicken on those quesadillas, and it would take him another hour to send it too. He reiterated his demand for the cheese quesadillas I that were in my possession. I wouldn't give in, I demanded to see those chicken quesadillas. The manager gave in, he sent a delivery guy out to secure the cheese quesadillas. In return, he tossed the chicken my way and walked away angrily. No money was exchanged. The lesson here? Hold your ground, get that chicken, even if it means you will never patronize this place again. Oh, it gets 2 stars because they make a really good Mexican sandwich. read more

Its nothing authentic, it's just what you would expect for a place run by asian people. Go for a combo meal to get the best price, and sometimes they even throw in free chips. I am upset to give 1 star. Rude people and unhealthy food should be my title. I went there yesterday for a few items for me my wife and son. I took it home and of course I have no sides, chips or guacamole I paid for. I call them to find out how to get my paid for items and the guy says "we don't deliver to your area, it's a mile out of reach". If that wasn't bad enough customer service; I then send my wife there today just to get the chips and guacamole that the man said he would leave a note for me. She comes home and it's 7 chips in a bag and no guac. Like is this a joke. To top it all off I was sick all night from the pink chicken that wasn't cooked and my son threw up twice too. The food from this place is delicious. I've had almost everything from there. We have had it delivered (which arrived surprisingly fast) and We have also gone there to eat. The restaurant location is crappy because it shares a lot with two other places, so parking is always tight. No matter really what time you go there. Their actual establishment sort of looks like a take out Chinese restaurant on the inside, theres a counter and then just a couple of tables to sit at. The food is inexpensive and the portions are pretty big. The guacamole is surprisingly really good. Everything always tastes pretty fresh and delicious. i was there a few days ago and just remembered to post a review. The parking is horrendous,,,good luck with that. i parked in the back and it was a TIGHT squeeze, walked around front and checked out the menu in the window. I decided on 1 hard taco and 1 soft taco both with ground beef. I also ordered FF but they were out so i got chips and salsa instead. The beef was um different. I dont know what it was to be exact but i didn't like it at all. It was more like chili or something akin to that. I wound up throwing out the tacos and just ate the chips and salsa which were ok but after my boss kept raving about this place i guess i picked the wrong things. I would def go back and try the fajitas or burrito. Meh i just ordered wrong. It's cheap and the woman behind the counter was very nice. I used to get food here from time to time last year and largely agree with the earlier reviews that it was cheap and decent. But the last time I went here, in April, it was a totally different experience. The soft-shell tacos I ordered only had meat in them, no lettuce or tomatoes, and they mixed up one of our orders with a take-out order done at the same time (we discovered when we got home). I love this place. Very authentic and delicious without having to sit and wAit at a restaurant. I always get the shrimp and guacamole fajita and my kids get a regular beef taco. There's no reason to go to Taco Bell when you can get authentic delicious Mexican food within minutes right nearby. There's another bigger location in Massapequa but we love this one.
