I had no crispy, juicy morsels as I was expecting yet a few large, spongy strips of chile-soaked fat in the center; I threw them out and ate the beans and chile which were great. Carne Asada was tasty with pico and guac but I suspect the meat may have been microwaved. The drive-thru was busy on a Sunday afternoon. Salsas stand out with flavor. Both colors actually taste like their NM chile namesake. Except for what seemed like shortcuts taken with solid recipie, the place was there for me when I needed it. New to Santa Fe and have come here twice and was thoroughly disappointed each time. The menu prices don't match with what you end up paying which gets confusing, the food sucks. My breakfast burritos are filled with nothing but bland potato, maybe half an egg and a strip of bacon but I have to dig to find those other ingredients. I am a long-time customer of Burrito Spot and have been happily eating there for years. So much so that when everyone I know says that Blake's has the best breakfast burrito in town, I always speak out and throw Burrito Spot into the ring because their burritos have always been contenders. Until now. For months now whenever I order a breakfast burrito (at any location) I request EXTRA bacon, sausage, etc. because if I don't the burrito comes with hardly any bacon, sausage, etc. at all! Once again, this morning I ordered a sausage breakfast burrito with EXTRA sausage (in the hopes of actually getting a bite of sausage in my burrito) and sadly, the only sausage in my burrito was literally the very last bite. What I get instead is a dry leftover french fry burrito. I even repeated my order twice to make sure they heard me say EXTRA SAUSAGE. Clearly, the cooks know that it's supposed to have sausage in it because they are taking the time to add a teaspoon (and no more) of sausage. I know that cooks have bad days, and if this were just a single occasion I wouldn't make a big deal out of it. But it happens EVERY SINGLE TIME I order a breakfast burrito. As a consumer if I pay for a sausage burrito, I expect to receive a burrito that contains sausage. Sadly, I shouldn't have to pay EXTRA just to assure I'm getting sausage, but I do that and I still don't get what I'm paying for. Seriously, get your shit together, Burrito Spot! read more

So as a local Santa Fe man I just went to get some rolled tacos and the guacamole was brown in color not fresh at all ,then I ordered a horchata it's usually it's great but not at Burrito spot it looked and tasted like they rang out a old rag that was left over and served me the last bit, when I asked the girl about how it looked and no taste, she told me that it was running out and you have the nerve to tell me on the one how could you expect someone to pay for a mess.I'm vary disappointed with their food. It had been good in the past when Aldo was running the restaurant. So I did what anyone would do I called and they never said to me I'm sorry or I would like to make it over for me. Basically the girl on the phone was like ohh well not great customer service not even good sad that they would even serve food and drink to anyone. Not the best but not the worst. I had planned to go to Cafe Castro on a recent road trip. Problem being, Cafe Castro was closed, looked like permanently. So, our tired and broke group decided to punt and go to Burrito Spot instead. I had the carnitas burrito. I actually enjoyed the burrito, especially at $5. I love this place. Unfortunately, they've drastically cut down on the bacon in the breakfast burritos. I'd be surprised if the amount in the entire, large burrito equaled a 1/2 strip of bacon. I ate at burrito spot when I was in santa Fe today and it was the worst torta I have ever ate in my whole life I couldn't even eat it. I got the special which was over priced in the begin with it was the grilled chicken torta. Awful awful.. so than I call them cause I live in burque and they said they need the food and receipt.. The price is right, the all-you-can-guzzle salsa comes in squirt bottles which is nice. The burritos are quick and the staff are always pleasant. I have found the breakfast burritos are not so great, but the other various burritos are consistently good. read more

This place used to an awesome place to grab burritos but over the years, food quality has gone to shit. In addition, giving one salsa per burrito?? Nickel and dimming customer $.25 cents for a salsa??? Burritos are dry and tasteless. I am done giving my business to this place. Microwaved frozen burrito taste better than this shit and it doesn't cost you $7 when you add their water down avocado sauce. You can't call whatever they put in their burrito guacamole. I love this place, but, I have to tell you: I only ever order two things on the menu. The California burrito and the carnitas burrito. The california burrito (steak, potatoes, cheese) is pretty standard, but solid and delicious. The carnitas is to die for. Seriously - best tastiest burrito filling in town. Anything else - probably haven't tried it and don't care. I'm sure, whatever it is, other restaurants do it better. For example, their fish and chile relleno burritos were sub-par. But it doesn't matter. Know what you're getting when you come here, know what to order, and don't spoil the experience with unrealistic expectations. This is not the Shed. My husband and are here being tourists. We have eaten at the Burrito Spot three times. The help was friendly, the food was just terrific and the prices great for the quality of food. We had Burritos once, rolled tacos once, and Chimichangas once. The exact place was on the corner of Cerrillos and Cordova. Loved it! This place was just lame. The menu offers no description of the food beyond a name. I had a Carnitas burrito and it was very dry and tasteless. Being in SF I was expecting some chile, but there was none. My wife had the Chimichanga and it looked a little better but she said it was not good. I can easily defined this restaurant with one word: diarrhea. The food looked like diarrhea, the service was diarrhea, the smell inside of the restaurant was that of diarrhea, and both my wife and I got ... well, you get the jist of it. To elaborate, my carne adovada burrito was strangely watery and it wasn't from the excess grease in which the beans and depressing vegetables and meat were floating in. My wife's carne asada taco looks great as it was packed with beef! And then she took a bite - whoa! The beef was more like beef gum due to the amount of grizzle connected to what is supposed to be lean meat. Also, hers was a a grease bomb. So, both of our meals were pretty difficult to swallow, both literally and figuratively. That aside when we walked in the woman working the front was on a personal phone call for about 10 minutes which gave us ample time to leave but our favorite places (El Parasol and Burrito Co.) were closed b/c it was Sunday. So, if I were you I wouldn't risk the poop party unless you're into that sort of thing. read more

Used to love this place when it was actually open 24 hours cause i worked late. I always (over)tip and am polite but recieved bad food way too many times. Chapest breakfast burrito in town and litres of mexican coke. last few times i went they used (undercooked) french fries instead of potatoes. Used to love the California burrito as well. They really went to crap. Should have known when all the mexicans abandoned it for a local taco truck. I suppose the carne aceda burrito is still good and the salsas are great. Yet the potatoes and bacon are bad. Stay away from the chicken if you know whats good for you read more
