Best burritos! I love going here when I need protein. It's fast and they give lots of salsa, so delicious

When you walk in you see a lot of really cool wall art that is black and white with a French Fry mascot of sorts everywhere (tables, the walls, neon sign, etc). I love the vibe and how modern it is. I recommend taking time to read the large wall statement from the owners that tells the back story during your dining experience. The employees were also helpful and friendly as well. Today was our first time there and we got the Surf & Turf burrito to share. The burrito is HUGE! It's definitely big enough to share in my opinion. The flavor of the meat is noticeable and cooked perfectly. I wanted to try the fries as well so this burrito was perfect to try both at once (psst the fries are in the burrito). I also highly recommend trying the salsas as well. Depending on your spice tolerance, there's a salsa for everyone. I would love to come back some time and try some more. read more

solid spot with some really good flavor, just a couple small things that held it back a bit. We ordered the surf and turf burrito, which comes with steak, shrimp, rice, fries, chipotle sauce, pico de gallo, and their house sauce. We asked for the house sauce and pico on the side, but they still put it on the burrito and gave us a little side of it as well. Since we both do not like tomatoes, we had to break the burrito apart to fix it, which was a little frustrating. That said, the carne asada flavor was really good. Definitely the highlight of the meal. I would absolutely come back and try the carne asada fries based on that alone. The staff were great. Everyone we interacted with was nice, friendly, and helpful, which made the experience better. The salsa was a bit of a letdown. The one labeled as super hot barely had any heat unless you used a lot of it, and it tasted more like a smoky chipotle than habanero. The red and green salsas had decent flavor, but again, not much spice to them. Overall, good food and great service, just a few execution issues. I would still come back and try a few other things on the menu. read more

Finally got to try this place. It did not disappoint. The Cali burrito was so good and so filling!! I could only eat half. The rolled tacos are DELICIOUS and I'll probably get that when I go back. The employees were so friendly and willing to help. The only downfall would be the prices. The kids meal is $14! That's crazy. For a quesadilla and fries and drink???? That's insane. I'll just go get my kid Taco Bell cheese roll ups for $1. So word of advice...burritos and rolled tacos yes...but skip the kids meals and grab them Taco Bell roll ups. This is fast food, but we waited for almost 5 minutes, 2 to 3 of those just waiting for somebody to come to the speaker. After five minutes of waiting, we went inside to order. So we gave this place 2 chances. We just moved in the area so we decided hey let's grab some burritos for fuel for our move. The carne asada tasted old so I was like maybe it was just that bite so I deconstructed the burrito and the meat was gray. So gross so we tossed them. Then we decided ok maybe that was a fluke let's try their breakfast burros. The egg was burnt and the bacon was also discolored and tasted the way dog food smelled so old bacon and old meat. This place is going to give someone food poisoning. Stay away it is absolutely disgusting. read more

I was really excited to try this new restaurant because I love fries and Mexican food. I spent around $40. I chose the large portion of the surf & turf fries. It's definitely large enough to share and the difference in price for the smaller size is minimal. The toppings were good. The fries were nothing special. When fries is part of the name of the restaurant, I expect a lot. I also ordered two caramel stuffed churros. There was no caramel in either churro. My horchata was okay. I'd still go back because the menu has quite a variety. Next time, I'd share with someone because I think $40 is a lot for "fast food." There is a dining area, too. read more

We stopped by the new Burros & Fries location (place is from San Diego) and had a great first experience. Everything tasted really fresh, which immediately stood out. The carne asada was especially good flavorful without being overly salty like I've had at some other spots. That alone earned some serious points with me. The food also came out quickly, and the service was welcoming. The torta bread was great soft, fresh, and paired really well with the rest of the sandwich. Absolutely love this new Mexican spot! They have a drive thru which is extra convenient on the go! As the name suggests they serve burros and fries, however their menu is actually quite more extensive than that! They do have a wide selection of huge burros, loaded (and plain) fries, however they also have other favorites such as street tacos, rolled tacos and tortas! We tried the chicken street tacos, plain fries and grilled chicken torta and everything was fresh, flavorful and delicious. Service is speedy and the girl who took my order in the drive thru was incredibly friendly! Highly recommend. read more

This is not San Diego style anything, except run off from TJ polluting the ocean. Went through the drive thru and ordered a bean and cheese burrito with a side of fries. It was a little bit of a wait, but then again they just opened and everyone there is still learning, so totally didn't mind waiting at all. The customer service was great and everyone I interacted with was very friendly! The food was on the pricier side, as my total was about $15 for the two items, but they were both delicious and filling! I will definitely be back to try more!! read more

Food was nothing special I had a carna asada taco and a shrimp taco with a side of beans and chips with salsa. Food was okay and not hot was barly warm and place only had 2 others tables with 2 or 3 people at each table. So not busy at all. Service was fine. They serve Pepsi products . Salsa bar very disappointing you can get spicier salsa at taco bell. Before I say i won't be back i need to try the burritos before I throw in the towel. Ambiance was fine but dont care about that. The food Is your standard Arizona Filiberto style Mexican food. Nothing really special. I like that they had spicy carrots at the salsa bar. The wait was incredibly long. Like, so long I actually forgot what I ordered. And seriously no paper towels in the bathroom? Wow this place is so good. The steak street tacos are so good and the birria street tacos are amazinggggg! I didn't care for the grilled chicken taco only cuz I prefer lean chicken, but others loved it. They come with guac atop. My kids taquitos were really good too, perfectly crisp and not overly greasy. The staff has been friendly and fast each of the few times I've gone. Green and red sauces are both good. So yes, it does cost a little more than some other similar food places nearby, but it's better quality, good meat portion and we don't feel horrible after eating it, worth it! You're getting what you're paying for imo. read more

We had lunch today for the first time at Burros & Fries on Higley in Gilbert. The young lady that took our order, Sirley, was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The street tacos and burrito had quite a bit of meat (chicken, carne asada, carnitas). We asked to turn up the AC as it was a bit chilly. Sirley was happy to change the thermostat. I'm struggling to like this place. I ordered a California burrito with chicken. The chicken seemed more the rib meat chicken and was a bit dry. The price for the quality is not adding up. Went here yesterday for lunch. The restaurant was busy. No one on the staff greeted us. We were able to order on the kiosk since no one came to take our order. I ordered carne asada fries and they were terrible. The carne asada was chewy and had no real taste, it didn't taste seasoned at all. The fries were way underdone, tasted raw. I picked through some of the steak and didn't eat any of the fries. We spent a total of $59.32 for 3 people and only one liked their meal. This is a new location and the food is hit or miss. The adobada was great, the chicken was not. Fish tacos were good but not something I would go of my way to order. The pricing here is like the pandemic and is generally double what you would pay from most other establishments, for instance be warned that a kids bean burrito with fries is $13.25, crazy expensive and the fries were very dry. Our bill for 6 burritos and 2 tacos with soft drinks was $119. There are 4 salsas that you can get on the side, all 4 of those were great. I likely will not return to burros and fries, the value for the cost just isn't there. read more

Went there at about 5pm on a Sunday. There was about 8 people that walked in at the same time....manager right away had an additional person taking orders so it was very fast. We had 4 in our group and our food in 5 minutes of ordering. California chicken burro was great as was the carne asada fries. Will definitely go back there! I was hesitant it would take a while after reading reviews....but I experienced no wait. I have been here twice. My dine in experience was great! The person taking our order was helpful. The food was delicious and fresh! I ordered the beef rolled tacos with carne asada on top, guac on the side. They loaded it up with toppings! My fiancé had the cali burrito and he loved it. The salsa bar had 2 red options and 2 green options. With that being said. I came back for the second time but went through the drive through. I ordered the beef rolled tacos with carne asada on top, guac on the side. The person taking my order stated that they can't do that. I reminded her that I was there the other day and they did it....No apologies, instead she asked what else I wanted. She didn't repeat the order back. I pulled forward. I paid and tipped. She asked me what sauce. I responded with the red sauce and the green one but not the avocado/creamy one. She said there's only one red and one green sauce. I get home. The guac was not on the side or on the rolled tacos and only received green sauce. The rolled tacos were not as fully dressed as the first time. there was like 4 little tomatoes and a little lettuce.
