    Cool wall art
    Danielle R.

When you walk in you see a lot of really cool wall art that is black and white with a French Fry mascot of sorts everywhere (tables, the walls, neon sign, etc). I love the vibe and how modern it is. I recommend taking time to read the large wall statement from the owners that tells the back story during your dining experience. The employees were also helpful and friendly as well. Today was our first time there and we got the Surf & Turf burrito to share. The burrito is HUGE! It's definitely big enough to share in my opinion. The flavor of the meat is noticeable and cooked perfectly. I wanted to try the fries as well so this burrito was perfect to try both at once (psst the fries are in the burrito). I also highly recommend trying the salsas as well. Depending on your spice tolerance, there's a salsa for everyone. I would love to come back some time and try some more.

    Carne asada tacos
    Brittany K.

I ordered the kids steak tacos with a side of rice and beans and 2 carne asada tacos with fries. It came out to a little over $27 which I think is expensive. Unfortunately we were given fries instead of the rice and beans we ordered for my son and the fries were so soggy. For a place that has "fries" in their name, I thought they'd be a lot better. I was not impressed and had to add salt because they had no flavor and were a soggy mess. The tacos were yummy, but nothing special. The steak was kind of dry and flavorless, but with the guac and green salsa added on it was good, but I wouldn't get them again. The customer service also wasn't too great either. So sad, I really wanted to like this place :(

solid spot with some really good flavor, just a couple small things that held it back a bit. We ordered the surf and turf burrito, which comes with steak, shrimp, rice, fries, chipotle sauce, pico de gallo, and their house sauce. We asked for the house sauce and pico on the side, but they still put it on the burrito and gave us a little side of it as well. Since we both do not like tomatoes, we had to break the burrito apart to fix it, which was a little frustrating. That said, the carne asada flavor was really good. Definitely the highlight of the meal. I would absolutely come back and try the carne asada fries based on that alone. The staff were great. Everyone we interacted with was nice, friendly, and helpful, which made the experience better. The salsa was a bit of a letdown. The one labeled as super hot barely had any heat unless you used a lot of it, and it tasted more like a smoky chipotle than habanero. The red and green salsas had decent flavor, but again, not much spice to them. Overall, good food and great service, just a few execution issues. I would still come back and try a few other things on the menu.

Finally got to try this place. It did not disappoint. The Cali burrito was so good and so filling!! I could only eat half. The rolled tacos are DELICIOUS and I'll probably get that when I go back. The employees were so friendly and willing to help. The only downfall would be the prices. The kids meal is $14! That's crazy. For a quesadilla and fries and drink???? That's insane. I'll just go get my kid Taco Bell cheese roll ups for $1. So word of advice...burritos and rolled tacos yes...but skip the kids meals and grab them Taco Bell roll ups. (Also I don't like Pepsi....so there's that)

    Birria, steak, and fish tacos

I got three tacos for lunch: Birria, Steak, and Fish. They are usually $3.95, but they are $3 for Taco Tuesday. I got the green salsas from the salsa bar. The inside of the restaurant was clean and the food came out fast. Everything was yummy.

4'26 - side order mini beef chimichangas, crispy and yummy with the spicy salsa
    Nonie B.

This is fast food, but we waited for almost 5 minutes, 2 to 3 of those just waiting for somebody to come to the speaker. After five minutes of waiting, we went inside to order. Three people working and two people waiting for their food? Definitely not a place for "fast food". Their mini beef chimichangas are crispy, but bland. However, when you have them with their spicy salsa...YUM!!

This is my second time and it's been good both times... it's very very expensive this burrito runs you 14$ and it's also never quick, which makes me know they make it to order so there is ups and downs but I think it's worth a try

    Surf & Turf Fries
    Karen B.

I was really excited to try this new restaurant because I love fries and Mexican food. I spent around $40. I chose the large portion of the surf & turf fries. It's definitely large enough to share and the difference in price for the smaller size is minimal. The toppings were good. The fries were nothing special. When fries is part of the name of the restaurant, I expect a lot. I also ordered two caramel stuffed churros. There was no caramel in either churro. My horchata was okay. I'd still go back because the menu has quite a variety. Next time, I'd share with someone because I think $40 is a lot for "fast food." There is a dining area, too.

We stopped by the new Burros & Fries location (place is from San Diego) and had a great first experience. Everything tasted really fresh, which immediately stood out. The carne asada was especially good flavorful without being overly salty like I've had at some other spots. That alone earned some serious points with me. The food also came out quickly, and the service was welcoming. The torta bread was great soft, fresh, and paired really well with the rest of the sandwich. Overall, just solid, quality food across the board. We'll definitely be back. Thanks for opening a location here in Gilbert, and wishing you the best as you get established in the area.

Food was out fast and portions were large! We had the tacos and a Chipotle fries. We will be back!

    Cali Burrito & Steak Nachos
    Allyssah H.

The burritos are MASSIVE! I was hoping that would be the case since they're on the pricier side. I had ordered my California Burrito with no pico, but it ended up having pico on it, so I had to send it back and the staff was very nice and willing to remake my burrito! The steak nachos were delicious as well, the small size is pretty big, so I can only imagine how big the large is. Nice clean dining area! I visited for lunch (11am) on a Saturday, and it wasn't too busy. Will definitely come back and try something new!

They were fluffy, smokin' hot, and beautifully plated. These pancakes are huge too. The plate of pancakes come as a stack of 3. When I got there and ordered, I told the waitress about my intolerance and ordered a salad with chicken. When my food came out, I was told my salad didn't have chicken because I couldn't eat the chicken, or any other meat in the restaurant, because they coat it in Pam spray (soybean oil). For a place that prides itself on making their own dressings, etc., you'd think they could've figured out how to cook chicken in an oil that they use for everything else. Perhaps if they'd communicated better about my intolerance instead of not thinking about it until immediately when my food was ready (which was quite a while after we ordered), they could've found someone in the restaurant who was capable of making non-vegetarian food with something other than soy spray, but I may be giving them too much credit. They also didn't offer us a high chair for our toddler, which was strange. He wound up doing fine in the booth, which was for the best because a high chair probably wouldn't have fit well where we were sitting anyway. The waitress was apologetic and nice about my food screw up and offered to make me something else, but there wasn't much that could be done given that apparently no one in the restaurant knows how to cook meat without soy spray, plus we'd already waited quite a while for our food. The beet salad was tasty, as was the bread with honey butter and the Chai latte, but I would've left feeling more full if I could've added meat to my salad.

I ordered the Asian salad, and it was absolutely delicious. It was packed with flavor, fresh, and the portion size was just right. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. My only real criticism is that the menu felt a bit limited, especially for vegetarians. There weren't many vegetarian options available, which could make it difficult for some people to find something that appeals to them. We went here on Sunday to celebrate our daughter's birthday - 4 different families. It was the…read morelast game of the World Cup, so quite a few people here. My son had ordered food from here as takeout last year. The food taste was interesting, though, I really like the cheese dip for the pretzel bites. The bites were pretty big. Lots of tables at this location, a bit warm. But our party of 14 was easily accommodated. Our daughter chose this place and it was quite loud. My husband and I are quiet people, so if we were to choose again, probably not here because of the loudness and all the TVs all over the place. But for those who like it loud, TVs and do not mind the prices on the menu, have at it. I don't remember our server's name. If she told us, I couldn't hear what she said. She was alright. Honestly, I had a hard time hearing even my son who sat next to me, and hearing my sister who sat one seat over in front of me, I couldn't hear what she was saying. Loudness is an issue for me and I do not have hearing issues. Our bill with tip came to over $700+. That was the most expensive lunch we've ever spent for our party of 14. Typically we're in the $400-500 range. But it was a special occasion. My husband and son got the 36 hr ribs. My husband really loved them. My son said it was okay. I didn't ask my brother and BIL who also got the same dish. I know my BIL was unhappy that he didn't get the side he requested and when they gave it to him (asparagus, I think), it was cold and he wasn't pleased about this. I got the hub burger and it was okay. There was a lot on the burger, but the patty itself, didn't have that much flavor. Some of the "Starters" or appetizers things were salted too much, but the burger did not taste like it had any salt. I had eaten too many starters so when my food came, I wasn't very hungry and took most of it home and ate for dinner another night. My husband and son do not like coleslaw and I ate theirs. THIS I really liked and tasted much better than KFC. I loved the sweetness and that the cabbage was shredded bigger than KFC. The pretzel bites were good. We got wings, and they were so-so. The roasted brussel sprouts were too salty. The deviled eggs were okay, but pricey for 2.5 eggs, which I do pay at Trader Joe's for organic free range pasturized eggs I could've gotten over 2 dozens. But, yes, I pay for the service and ambiance. I really thought there would be more than 5 halves for the deviled eggs. We got the nachos and they were okay. The melted cheese sauce was the best part. My mom got the fish and chips and she seemed to pick at it. She didn't want to take home, so it must not have been that good because she almost always takes a doggy bag home. My sister had the salmon and it was in a huge bowl and didn't look to be that much food. It was pricey. One of my SILs got something I didn't recognize and she said it was okay. No one I could tell was over the moon with the taste of the food and I heard the word "interesting" quite a bit. It's not that it tasted bad, but it didn't really taste good good. You know what I mean? I did bring a special order cake I got at Nothing Bundt Cakes in Gilbert. I asked Culinary Dropout if we could borrow a cake cutter. They didn't have one. Weird. This was a Red Velvet cake and this was absolutely divine. It was moist. The frosting was some sort of yummy cream cheese frosting. The cake was perfectly sized for our party of 14. The cake was the best part of our meal and it didn't come from Culinary Dropout. I would pay this much for a meal at Roy's for lunch for this sized party, but alas, all the Roy's in the valley are closed down. So sad. I'm not saying this place is bad or the food tastes bad. It's okay and pricey. If the food was great or amazing, we don't mind pricey. We have paid over $1K for meals for our big party, and happily do so when the food is equivalent to the price.

My only critique is the layout of the front room. There always seems to be a line, but there's not really a good place for it to go besides in front of the entrance and the water station.
