Everything tasted fresh and delicious, and the salsa that came with them was incredible. The staff was also fantastic. Our cashier Nevaeh (had to ask for spelling) was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. This is strictly based on a takeout order. We ordered chicken and waffles and a small side of tots online. It was kinda later in the morning so my daughter and I decided to share something. It came with a piece of breaded chicken, two smallish waffles and a hefty portion of scrambled eggs. There was syrup, some butter, and the description said it came with a side of chipotle aioli, but that was not in the bag. The chicken was super crispy and tasted as expected. The waffles were tasty but my daughter said they were crispier than she would prefer. The eggs were bland and boring and we didn't end up eating them. The tots, were the best thing we ate to be honest. They were crispy, and seasoned well with what tasted like a variety of spices. I wish now we had ordered totchos instead, maybe I would have been wowed like so many of these reviews. I was a little sticker shocked too. For the one meal, with the small side of tots was approximately $21. That is pretty hefty for a fast casual restaurant. I may give them another try but will not order the same thing. read more

8/1/26: pretty good food, though I was disappointed to see all the jalapeno, onions & peppers on the tots we ordered. Good thing my sister likes all that stuff; I had to dig around that stuff to eat any. :-) My English muffin sandwich was pretty normal tasting, nothing spectacular there, but the sauces they gave us helped. My sister's burrito was pretty large & she enjoyed it. Their drinks were a hefty size for sure & tasty, plus the staff was very outgoing & friendly. Their food truck is another staple in my visits to the Gilbert farmers market. I always get the decade breakfast burrito because that thing is a monster. Sausage, bacon, chorizo, egg, cheese, and well seasoned tots. Everything I dream of in a breakfast burrito. Not to mention they have a solid salsa to go with it. This monster of a burrito is also somehow cooked the whole way through, cheese melted as well despite its size. The only downside is that it's so tasty that I can't stop myself from trying to eat the whole thing in one go, which means I get so full every time I eat it. Somehow, this café got into my Instagram feed, and my eyes were really tempted by the pictures they posted. A little too tempted probably. I finally got a rare morning off and took my family there. It was around Halloween time because they were playing Ghostbusters themed music. The food is excellent. The café is small but not super small. The staff is friendly and attentive. Yet again, what a great experience at Morning Kick. Today, I walked in around 8:30, waited in line for just a minute, and ordered. I ended up going with their Decade burrito, minus chorizo and minus tots - neither we're speaking to me today. (Basically, it was an egg, sausage, bacon, and cheese burrito). It was the best thing ever. It was also MASSIVE. I forgot how big their burritos are. I took more than half home. I also got their pink sea lotus drink. Soooo good. The service was awesome! Very friendly and willing to customize what I wanted to eat. The staff greeted me when I walked in and wished me well when I left. The vibe of everything is very relaxed, with cute lighting throughout and music to jam to playing through the speakers. Comfortable seating, lovely atmosphere. 10/10. I recommend checking out Morning Kick if you haven't yet. Their menu is extensive and you can expect to pay about $20 per person, with food and a drink. read more

I've got to enjoy Morning Kick's offerings at their Brick & Mortar, but unfortunately it's just a bit too far for me to visit on a more regular basis (Manifesting another location!) This most recent visit was at their food truck at the Gilbert Farmers Market! My mom was in town and we couldn't quite decide what we wanted, once I saw Morning Kick, it figured it was a sign and it had been far too long since I had one of their breakfast burritos. My mom and I got the Cowboy burrito and the Arizona. We shared both to get the best of both worlds! The Cowboy was a more traditional option, with crispy bacon, eggs, cheese and tater tots. The Arizona featured chorizo, house green chile along with eggs, cheese and tots. *Chefs kiss* Both are delicious, hefty and great bang for the buck overall at 14 & 15. One could be shareable, but depends how hungry you are and honestly burritos are an elite leftover. They came with salsa, though only one each (I think it's supposed to be two each), which was not nearly enough for me, but still did the job. The salsa is mild classic red, but still compliments the burritos well. My husband stole a few bites, okay more than a few, and said it's one of the best breakfast burritos he has had and honestly that's saying something because we've had a LOT of breakfast burritos! Well worth a visit, especially if you are at the Gilbert market and don't find yourself in the East Valley much. They also have coffee and ample beverage options! They started out as a local food truck and eventually opened this fast-casual style brick and mortar. The space is cozy with ample seating indoor and out. You can still find the food truck at the Gilbert farmers market every Saturday. I've dined and ordered to-go many times from Morning Kick. I always get the same burrito, the green chili burrito, $11.35. It's one of their vegetarian burritos and comes with scrambled eggs, seasoned tots, house green chile sauce, with shredded cheese wrapped in a 14" local tortilla. This thing is packed full of ingredients and flavor. I usually eat half and save the other half for later. Their fresh house salsa compliments the burrito perfectly. They roast the tomatoes in house and only use fresh ingredients; no canned ingredients. Their burritos also pair well with a side of tots. Aside from their amazing burritos, Morning Kick is also known for their morning kicks -- coffee! In fact, they were on Yelp's Top Places to Drink in Phoenix in 2023. They offer brewed coffee, cold brew, espresso drinks, and Lotus energy drinks. I always get my usual, oat milk latte with honey and cinnamon, which they make really well. The tortillas are soft and chewy but still hold up. We typically order ahead and pick up to go. Pick up runs smoothly. When we have stayed the restaurant has some fun board games to play as you wait. My new favorite breakfast burritos. They've made the top of the list for a few key reasons: 1. Size and value - I can easily split one burrito with my wife and couple it with a coffee to satisfy my breakfast hunger. 2. Tasty quality ingredients - the eggs taste like they were whipped up uniquely for that burrito, and not just taken from a huge pre-made batch. They are fluffy and seasoned well. The potatoes are little tater tots that still have a nice crunch to them. 3. Friendly and local - the restaurant is bright and cheery. Arrived at around 11am on a beautiful Saturday morning. Place was busy but the line never got more then 3 people deep and service was quick and wonderful. Be advised the inside seating area is kinda small, but there are also tables outside and the weather today made that our choice. Husband ordered a chai tea latte and the Arizona Burrito with an add of pickled onions. The fresh tortilla and filling was so good. The chorizo was spicy but not hot, and the pickled onions added a bit of vinegar to cut the cheese and salt. I ordered the Totchos and we both agreed it was the clear winner. The sausage was seasoned well and provided a really savory flavor to contrast the salty tots and spice of the green chili and pickled jalapeños. The fresh pico on top gave some crunch and every bite seemed to contain a bit of all the ingredients so it was really good, and our clear winner. We will definitely be coming back, the menu included some really cool seasonal items as well as some breakfast sandwiches on locally made English muffins or brioche buns. We haven't ordered from here since they first opened and right after COVID hit (March 2020). Again we did takeout. The order was ready quickly and it was a no-contact pickup with our food in a bag with our name on it. My husband had the Totchos and I had a burrito bowl. It was a lot of food! My burrito bowl was the Decade (3 meat) and I found the chorizo in it to be a great consistency, not too greasy but a bit too spicy for my taste. The salsa was tasty but again a little too spicy for me. Apparently I'm a wimp! Lol! The food was good and pickup was very convenient. They also used eco friendly containers for the food but I do have one complaint...the cocktail napkin was not sufficient for with the meal. If I had ordered a burrito I for sure would have made a mess of myself and this wouldn't have been enough for clean up. read more
