Perfect place for brunch - great food great service great atmosphere - we had 3 amazing dishes but our fav was the banana fosters cheesecake French toast the best French toast I ever had for sure

I've been eyeing this spot for a while and glad I could finally try it! With a western spin on breakfast, there are lots of options between egg dishes, breakfast burritos, and waffles/french toast. I ordered the breakfast nachos with beans and subbed the shredded pork for bacon. It was a lot of food. It was delicious though very much a chilaquile type dish. The chips are house made and very crunchy. I tried the cookie butter French toast which was made into a platter. This includes eggs, bacon, and potatoes. The French toast does have that fried flavor to it which isn't my favorite but it was good. Definitely a different type than typical smashed looking French toast dishes at breakfast spots. These were stacked and fluffy. The service was quick and once you order you choose where to sit which is nice. There's indoor and outdoor seating with bathrooms available as well. Overall can't wait to go again!

The food at this place absolutely never disappoints. It is always amazing and I have been here several times. The breakfast nachos are insane and so so good!! However the service put a terrible taste in our mouths. We came in on April 26th around 10 am and the women at the front taking orders was the least friendly person I have encountered in awhile let alone someone who's in the service industry. She seemed very inconvenienced to be there and made us feel very rushed ordering. (There was only one person behind us & we were not taking that long) Again absolutely love the food but I would unfortunately rethink you you have at the front of your establishment "greeting" paying customers.

Birthday waffle was amazing. Their batter is super tasty.

What a cute place this is! And what a wonderful service we received from Marianna! Celebrating the Medicare bday with a friend and the treatment was fabulous!!! My friend had a breakfast burrito and I had their avocado toast. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked amazing!!! Enjoy the photos and try it. You'll become a regular.

Thank You "Thanks a Brunch" another great place to grab a bite for food. We came here for breakfast items but I would try their cheeseburger! Looks d'Lish and homemade. My husband and I ordered the Prickly Pear Waffle and Tomatillo Benedict. Very good. I topped it off with a prickly pear lemonade.

Cute spot tucked away in a small plaza at Gilbert and Guadalupe. A friend picked this place and I was pleasantly surprised! You order at the counter before taking a table. They do not take reservations. They have both indoor and outdoor seating available. Turnover is quick since it's self-serve aside from food delivered to your table. The food was very tasty and portions were generous. They serve alcohol, and there was always a steady line of people ordering for dine-in or takeout, which says a lot. Parking is also decent. Overall, a great find!

We've driven past here so many times and finally stopped in. Well worth the stop. Hubs had the smash burger and waffle fries and it was huge. He loved it and ate the whole, giant thing. The waffle fries are perfectly salted, crispy, yet soft inside. I gave 4 not 5 stars because I had the waffle fry sausage and gravy plate but there wasn't really any gravy. It was pretty dry but so delicious. We will go back and try more items.

Tried Thanks a Brunch twice now and I'm kinda torn. The first time was takeout brunch and overall it was decent. The bacon and tomatillo pork were good, and the burrito was fine, though I wasn't a big fan of the avocado in it. The classic waffle wasn't anything special but it was okay enough. About a month later I came back on a Sunday to dine in with my mom and my toddler. That part was honestly great. We were able to order right away and got a table immediately, which is huge when you have a kid. Service was pretty good and very accommodating. The food though was pretty so-so. I ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich. It was huge but only had one egg inside, which felt kinda ridiculous. I cut it in half, ate one side, and it could barely stay together. The egg was also a little undercooked for my liking. The sausage itself was tasty and the sourdough was decent. We tried the classic waffle again and it was not good. The batter is super sweet and tastes kind of artificial. We also ordered a side of waffles fries (they were served to us with a fork?) and bacon and both were pretty sad looking. The bacon was undercooked and just not great. One bright spot was the cold brew, which was actually really good. Overall, I love the convenience, quick seating, and kid friendly vibe, but the food has been inconsistent. I'd come back for coffee or something simple, but I wouldn't go out of my way for the food right now.

This place hits every time! Been here twice already and the food is always so good. They give you big portions and a good size of drinks. The place is small with limited seating space but if lucky enough you can stay cool and sit inside. Service is always nice and they try their best to assist everyone and get your order taken, you seated, and served. It's close by our church so when in need of some good food after a great service, we'll definitely be stopping by.

    Southern Fried Chicken Benedict

Quiet little brunch cafe in Gilbert. Been meaning to try for so long and finally went. It's a "order at the counter and find yourself a table" kind of place which I like. We were greeted immediately and offered menus. I opted for the special which was the southern fried chicken Benedict. Fried chicken breast on an English muffin covered in hollandaise sauce, bacon, hot honey, over medium eggs and pickled red onion. Served with a side of country potatoes. Very tasty and a large portion, I always love the sweet, salty, spicy dynamic in my food. Everything was cooked perfectly. I also ordered the bananas foster cold brew which was also very tasty. Wifey ordered the Bennie Burrito which has bacon, tots, pickled onions and Chipotle aioli in the burrito, then it is topped with a crispy cheese skirt, over-medium eggs, Green Chili hollandaise, pico de gallo. Her order actually came out first and she offered me a bite and I immediately wondered if I made the wrong choice with my order. Overall the food was really good, I like the order and pay up front places so when you're done you're all paid up and can leave without waiting for the check. We will definitely return soon to try some of the other tasty sounding items on the menu. Highly Recommended!

I was looking for a brunch place the day after Thanksgiving that was open in the afternoon and the options in my area were slim until I found Thanks A Brunch. What a gem! Casual, counter serve brunch spot with ample seating and nice decor. I loved the books hanging on the wall for a cool look. The menu had some tasty looking savory options but I was feeling something sweet and couldn't pass on the churro french toast. The server said it was a top choice so I went for it. Wow - the portions! It was a stack of 3 with layered spread of peanut butter and Nutella. Definitely hit the spot. Somehow I ate the whole thing, to which the server remarked they'd never seen anyone finish it before. Too bad that doesn't get me a name on the wall or something, but I'll be back for sure to sample some other items.

Food was so good we forgot to take a picture. Big portions. Price was unbelievable. People work here are so kind and bubbly. Place is clean and neat. I had the best egg Benedict ever.

A really solid spot. It's small, and in a strip mall, so keep a close eye out or you might miss it. They have both outdoor and indoor seating. You order at the counter, they give you a number, and bring you your food. The portions were pretty big. I think many could consider sharing. My friend got the pineapple chicken and waffles and ate it all. I got the breakfast loaded tots. It was good but honestly, and it's weird for me to say, had too much sausage. The flavor was still on point, the staff were friendly and attentive, and I'd recommend it to anyone in the area.

If only we had been told by the hostess. This woman we will call Julie was very hospitable and charming. She called over a waitress, again just as charming and delightful as Julie and our orders were taken. Service was prompt, and at that point I felt like we were VIP! Everything was delicious, we ordered more drinks and despite the AZ heat it was comfortable sitting on the patio. There is plenty of parking and it's located on the corner. Great visibility! Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. My only real criticism is that the menu felt a bit limited, especially for vegetarians. There weren't many vegetarian options available, which could make it difficult for some people to find something that appeals to them. My son had ordered food from here as takeout last year. The food taste was interesting, though, I really like the cheese dip for the pretzel bites. The bites were pretty big. Lots of tables at this location, a bit warm. But our party of 14 was easily accommodated. Our daughter chose this place and it was quite loud. My husband and I are quiet people, so if we were to choose again, probably not here because of the loudness and all the TVs all over the place. But for those who like it loud, TVs and do not mind the prices on the menu, have at it. I don't remember our server's name. If she told us, I couldn't hear what she said. She was alright. Honestly, I had a hard time hearing even my son who sat next to me, and hearing my sister who sat one seat over in front of me, I couldn't hear what she was saying. Loudness is an issue for me and I do not have hearing issues. Our bill with tip came to over $700+. That was the most expensive lunch we've ever spent for our party of 14. Typically we're in the $400-500 range. But it was a special occasion. My husband and son got the 36 hr ribs. My husband really loved them. My son said it was okay. I didn't ask my brother and BIL who also got the same dish. I know my BIL was unhappy that he didn't get the side he requested and when they gave it to him (asparagus, I think), it was cold and he wasn't pleased about this. I got the hub burger and it was okay. There was a lot on the burger, but the patty itself, didn't have that much flavor. Some of the "Starters" or appetizers things were salted too much, but the burger did not taste like it had any salt. I had eaten too many starters so when my food came, I wasn't very hungry and took most of it home and ate for dinner another night. My husband and son do not like coleslaw and I ate theirs. THIS I really liked and tasted much better than KFC. I loved the sweetness and that the cabbage was shredded bigger than KFC. The pretzel bites were good. We got wings, and they were so-so. The roasted brussel sprouts were too salty. The deviled eggs were okay, but pricey for 2.5 eggs, which I do pay at Trader Joe's for organic free range pasturized eggs I could've gotten over 2 dozens. But, yes, I pay for the service and ambiance. I really thought there would be more than 5 halves for the deviled eggs. We got the nachos and they were okay. The melted cheese sauce was the best part. My mom got the fish and chips and she seemed to pick at it. She didn't want to take home, so it must not have been that good because she almost always takes a doggy bag home. My sister had the salmon and it was in a huge bowl and didn't look to be that much food. It was pricey. One of my SILs got something I didn't recognize and she said it was okay. No one I could tell was over the moon with the taste of the food and I heard the word "interesting" quite a bit. It's not that it tasted bad, but it didn't really taste good good. You know what I mean? I did bring a special order cake I got at Nothing Bundt Cakes in Gilbert. I asked Culinary Dropout if we could borrow a cake cutter. They didn't have one. Weird. This was a Red Velvet cake and this was absolutely divine. It was moist. The frosting was some sort of yummy cream cheese frosting. The cake was perfectly sized for our party of 14. The cake was the best part of our meal and it didn't come from Culinary Dropout. I would pay this much for a meal at Roy's for lunch for this sized party, but alas, all the Roy's in the valley are closed down. So sad. I'm not saying this place is bad or the food tastes bad. It's okay and pricey. If the food was great or amazing, we don't mind pricey. We have paid over $1K for meals for our big party, and happily do so when the food is equivalent to the price.

My only critique is the layout of the front room. There always seems to be a line, but there's not really a good place for it to go besides in front of the entrance and the water station. It turns into a lot of "excuse me" and people weaving around each other. It's definitely a good problem to have because they're clearly popular, but I hope as they continue to flourish, they're able to expand into a larger space or rethink the flow a bit. Either way, I'll absolutely be back. Just save me another coconut brown sugar latte.
