I had a major back up problem on the mainline of the main sewer line for my rental property. I had two sets of Plumbing companies I had called. The first company came out and did not solve the problem. He did not recognize that that the clean out swept both ways and went the wrong way and then gave up and said he would need to come back tomorrow and then charge an additional $145 for a camera inspection. Fortunately I had Burtech plumbing as a back up Plumber and called them primarily because of the coupon for $59 that stated clean out service and also camera... which I needed. Within a few hours I had both Burt and Bill out there, one specializing in the clean-out machine and the other for the camera. The camera was used first and and it was determined that they were going in the right direction because of the sonar machine that detected the camera head underneath the concrete. Once it was determined where the problem was then the clean out machine was used and within a matter of five minutes the issue was resolved. Best $59 I've spent a long time. They got the issue resolved while the other plumbing company couldn't do it. read more

We received a timely online estimate and Dominic explained everything before he sent his technician Mike out to our property. Mike arrived and spent so much time with us trying to determine the area of the clog. We have had this happen in the past and none of the other plumbers worked with us to determine exactly where the problem could be and some even left before we were able to test all sources. Mike waited patiently while I ran a load of laundry, the dishwasher, and all sinks, he snaked the tub and everything is running smoothly. We had a toilet and shower backup on a Saturday. I tried clearing the line myself with a 25' powered snake but the problem persisted. Seeking a professional at that point, I called Burtech and we set up an appointment for several hours later. But only about 15 minutes later I got a call from Jose at Burtech who asked if he could arrive sooner. Of course, that was fine with me and he was here within 30 minutes. After a quick assessment by running water and checking a nearby cleanout, Jose said the toilet had to be removed to find the blockage. Now, I have removed many toilets myself (and installed the very toilet we were discussing) but their price was very reasonable and definitely worth it. After placing down "puppy-pads" to protect the floor tile, Jose removed the toilet and found a huge mass of small roots in the toilet drain pipe (which explains why my snaking the shower and cleanouts didn't work). I had never seen such a thing, yet he said he had just cleared the same type of blockage at his very last job (no substitute for professional experience). Anyway, he replaced the toilet in record time, tested for leaks and proper flow, and was on his way after probably less than 60 minutes. That check to Burtech was the happiest check I have written in 2022. Highly recommend this company. read more

These morons decided to use a jackhammer at night with out a noise permit. The foreman swore he had a permit but when he produced it, the application was clearly marked Cancelled. It seem it is either less expensive or cooler to work at night. They also closed off several streets to parking when it was obvious they were not working there. I have a leak in my upstairs tub causing a water spot on the living room ceiling below. I'm planning a bathroom remodel but didn't want the leak to grow worse before the remodel. Burtech answered the phone on a weekend and was able to schedule Gino to come out Monday. Gino was professional and gave me a less expensive option to stop the leak until the remodel. He even cleaned up some sweeping that I had made (not related to the plumbing work) along with all the debris that fell when he opened the ceiling to investigate. He was clean and friendly. The only drawback was that the two hour arrival window was 2-4. I asked if it would for sure not be before 2 as I have to pick up my son at 1:30. They said not before 2. He called about 12:50 to say he was on his way and would be there at 1:15. I felt bad for making him wait but I couldn't be home much before 2. Will definitely call Burtech again when I need a plumber. read more

An outdoor irrigation pipe that had been poorly installed (and designed) a couple of years ago burst when my wife pulled on a garden hose that was attached to it. She shouldn't have forced it but it was a poor design to begin with. I, of course, was away on a 2 week business trip and couldn't fix it (which I normally would have tried). Water was apparently spraying out of the pipe so it needed to be fixed immediately. The first person who could come immediately was Matt at Burtech. She said he came within minutes. He fixed it for a price that I thought was a bit pricey but given that it was an emergency and he came right away, I understood. However, he did tell her that the design was not the best (multiple types of pipes - pvc, copper, etc.) but that he would come back if there were any further issues. Of course, he was right and it leaked again within a few weeks. Ultimately, he had to come back a 3rd time to redesign with a new valve. However, he only charged me for one part after his first visit. This guy is honest, hard working and most of all ethical. He took ownership of the repair and didn't charge more even though he made 3 visits. He will have my plumbing business from now on. read more

This may not apply to all their work, but their home plumbing services are fantastic. We had two other plumbers come to our residence to try and fix a clogged drain, but both were unsuccessful. Both of these plumbers said that to fix the clogged drain that they would need to crawl under the house and cut out the affected pipes to replace it with updated parts. Our property manager contacted Burtech Pipeline to come and determine if the pipes truly needed to be replaced. Their associate Storm Linden arrived at our house within an hour of us calling, and then proceeded to fix the clog in ten minutes. All in all I was very satisfied with their work, and would definitely call them again for my home plumbing needs. read more

Our problem was not expected at all. One morning or toilet just kept backing up and slowly draining. Since we have had Burtech Plumbing to cure our plumbing problems in the past, of course, we called them again. The Plumber, Jaime, came to assist us and was able to get things going again, but advised us, due to a build up of corrosion in our toilet pipe, we should consider replacing this toilet as it had been in since 1976. Way too long. Jaime was very helpful assisting us in making a decision. We both are Seniors. Jaime suggested we consider a new model, ADA approved, elongated style toilet. It raised the toilet level to assist us with the height and easier use by design. We agreed with Jaime's expert opinion. He came to our home, totally covered from head to toe with mask and booties to do our installation. He was on time and very professional in our home and when he was done with the installation, we could not tell he had done the installation. Clean worker and very knowledgeable about the product line choice we made. We will continue to ask for Jaime when we call Burtech Plumbing for all our future plumbing needs! I totally disagree with other reviewers. This company recently did work on my street in Point Loma. The workers were always very helpful when I had to get out of my driveway. The street looked clean, although I don't think people realize it's construction it can't be immaculate! But overall they seemed to finish the job quickly, were always friendly to me and my neighbors and did a great job. read more
