Shockingly, our last visit was met with some very unfair treatment! Can't believe this still exists in today's world and at this establishment! Others who didn't look like my family were given seating options while we were told to just be seated and wait. Somehow we were the only ones waiting, visibly seeing several unoccupied tables. Plus observed others walk in and addressed differently, then given options that were not offered to us! Very disappointing especially after being a known regular amongst some of the staff. Definitely didn't expect this behavior after spending our dollars quite frequently here! I understand a few bad apples can misrepresent a good thing especially in the food business. People who lack personable and poor people skills shouldn't be put on the front line as first point of contact, "HOSTESS" Everyone should be treated fairly and with respect regardless! Checked this restaurant out for lunch. The inside and outside of the restaurant is really nice. It was a nice day outside so we stat outside and had the space to ourselves the whole time. I tried the lobster roll. Although they give plenty of lobster it lacked flavor. Visually the lobster looks creamy as if it would be flavorful but unfortunately it was not. The lobster was also very chewy, definitely not kid friendly as it could pose as a choking hazard. My husband got the Cajun shrimp pasta that he really enjoyed and said he would get again. This place is pretty good. It is situated at the end of a strip mall so you will not be able to see it from the street. Parking can be really tight during peak hours. The place is extremely clean and professional. It is not that expensive. I came in and sat right at the bar. They have good TVs at the bar. I ordered the beef short rib with mashed potatoes. The first serving of beef rib was extremely tender and melted in your mouth. The second serving was tougher. I noticed that the beef rib was not seasoned nor had sauce. Came here for a casual lunch with a friend and left already planning my next visit. The menu is extensive, with plenty of options no matter what you're in the mood for, which makes it easy to find something everyone will enjoy. This place was recommended in a Gluten Free group I am in. I was blown away by so many gluten free options. I went during lunch so service was pretty quick. I ordered the Gluten Free Philly Spring Rolls. I think these could have been fried a little longer but it was enjoyable. The onion rings on the side were nice. I could've used some more of those ;) The lobster roll, chef kiss!! However, I was looking for a gluten free soft roll instead of a gluten free bun. I wasn't a fan of that but I appreciated the experience. Not pictured is the 7layer gluten free cheesecake I took to go. That was pretty good until I poured the "red sauce" over my cake. That was not good. And I read another review that warned against adding it but I was so distracted by being in Gluten Free Paradise that I forgot about it. We were visiting Buckhead and saw great reviews and ratings for Burtons and thought we'd order some takeout. When I called, I was using the menu from pictures in Yelp and i ordered the General Tsos chicken salad. As I was ordering another plate (Caesar salad), they asked if I wanted proteins and we said no. When I ordered the general tso they said the same thing and I thought this meant do you want "more" protein. So I said know. We got to the restaurant to pickup. There were two nice ladies at the front. There was no one waiting to be seated so the one lady asked if she could help and I told her my name and that I had a to-go order. She said she would go check. While we were waiting, a large group of people came in, multiple parties of people. I watched the lady bring back my order and put it on the counter and the other lady looked at it but kept seating the next person then the next person. She sat about 3 groups of people and then once the line was empty she turned and grabbed the bag and said my name and I paid and left. Now, I wasn't in a hurry so I didn't get upset or frustrated, but it just felt weird that she didn't ask all those people, who came in after me, to wait one moment while she billed me for the food and let me leave. It just seemed odd. As for the food, there was no chicken in my General TSos bowl. But I wasn't charged for it either. So it wasn't like I paid for chicken and didn't get what I ordered. I just felt it was a misunderstanding during the ordering process. My daughter had the Caesar salad and she said it was just ok. And I note this here becuase she eats a lot of salads and usually is okay with them all but she did call out that this one was not that tasty or fresh. My General Tsos Chicken Bowl with no chicken was actually very good and all of the things within the bowl were well seasoned and tasted great. Gluten free mecca with an entire dedicated menu full of options separate from the regular one. It will take me 3-4 trips to get through everything I want to try, so this visit was appetizers only. I happily sat at the corner of a very clean bar, staffed by a happy bartender, and ordered 3 appetizers...because why not when in GF Rome? The calamari was solid (more corn meal texture than rice flour), but the firecracker shrimp and cheesesteak spring rolls (served with onion rings) were amazing! I had planned to bring lots home to the kids, however I couldn't stop eating. I did bring them home mac & cheese, which is the only thing I wouldn't order again. It' was perfectly fine, but more creamy than actually cheesy, and not worth a $10 price tag. Next on my list are the sandwiches and burgers - I haven't had a fried fish sandwich in forever! I first experienced Burton's Grill in Buckhead during a Yelp Elite event and had such a memorable time that I vowed to return. At the event, I had a taste of the Pappardelle Bolognese and it was so delicious that I knew I needed the full experience. When I went back with friends, it was their first time visiting, and everything lived up to the memory. The bread service was the surprise standout of the evening. It is not your typical bread in a basket. Instead, it is a warm loaf served with butter, pesto, and an olive mix, and it was absolutely fantastic. The spinach dip was also very good, though I do wish it had been served a little hotter. For drinks, I had the lychee martini, which was an easy 10 out of 10. To start, I ordered the creamy chicken, a chef's special, and it was outstanding. For my entrée, I stayed true to my vow and had the Pappardelle Bolognese again. It was every bit as delicious as I remembered, and the portion was so generous that it lasted me two days. I did not get dessert this time, but I still think about the chocolate cake I tried at the Yelp event. That alone will have me coming back again. Lastly, our server Ashley did an amazing job. We have been to Burton's 5 times. Once as a smaller family group and the rest as a couple. Things you want to know before your visit: -Service is great from host to server to management -Atmosphere is relaxed but sophisticated -The patio is wonderful (newly created and has temp control). We even brought our dog once. -The bar is a cool focal point in the centre of the dining room. Great vibe. -Good spaces for groups -Conscientious menu and accommodation to all sensitivities & allergies -The menu is varied and tempting -The food is inconsistent. I hate to have to say this. We have yet to enjoy a meal from start to finish. Something always goes wrong with the order. Every single time. Once, our steaks were reversed in temperatures with different cuts. To the credit of the manager, the entire meal was comped. We left a generous tip for the server who was embarrassed by the kitchen and did everything to make it right and called the manager herself. None of the other visits were quite so bad but almost each time, management became involved. We never asked for them to come over. The servers are just excellent that way. Our last visit was the last straw. This time we said nothing to the server. The food was just incredibly bland. Salt, pepper, hot sauce... nothing really helped. We're putting Burtons in timeout. Perhaps cocktails and shareables from time to time but the kitchen really needs to step up its game. Everything else is so perfect. Definitely a 5 star spot for me. Visited this spot after trying another nearby restaurant whose wait time was too long and boy am I glad that I did. The service was an A+. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive. I ordered the bag of donuts, a mimosa, decaf coffee and TJ crab cake Benedict. The donuts weren't my fave because they were not what I expected even though they were delicious with the sprinkle of cinnamon and side of cream cheese icing. I opted to leave off the powdered sugar. But my favorite thing of the morning was the crab cake benedict. It was absolutely amazing. The crab cake was full of crab and the eggs were cooked perfectly. After running errands on foot, I ended up in a Publix shopping center and needed something to eat. The area has changed over the years, not for the better, but that's beside the point. I'd been eyeing Burton's Bar & Grill for a while, though I wasn't sure how different it would be from their neighbor across the street, Twin Peaks. I decided to place a to‑go order: a cheeseburger and mashed potatoes, since I wasn't in the mood for fries. The restaurant itself looked upscale, and I actually want to come back sometime to try their beer selection. When I got home and opened the bag, the burger looked impressive. A large brioche bun, plenty of fixings, and a thick beef patty cooked to medium, just the way I like it. Then came the taste. There was almost no beef flavor at all. The bun overpowered everything, even the toppings. I even cut off a piece of the patty to try it on its own, and again, no real flavor and barely any seasoning, if any. It was a big letdown. The mashed potatoes were also bland, and for a $20 meal, the portion felt small. The hostess was very friendly and mentioned that everyone there loves their burgers. Maybe I'm the odd one out, because my experience didn't match that at all. I honestly could've gone to Twin Peaks, paid less, gotten more food, and had a better overall meal. read more

So glad my friend found this place. We were looking for a good steak frittes and she randomly landed on Burtons. SOOOO good. Plenty of convenient parking, service was great and quick and staff made sure to inquire about allergies as it's a scratch kitchen. Gluten free options are incredible! The manager came by our table and greeted us and gave some great suggestions on the menu. His recommendation of the chocolate cake was spot on. It truly is the best chocolate cake I've probably ever had. The fish and chips were very good, but the portion size was laughable. I almost wonder if I accidentally received a child's plate. It was two little nuggets of fish, so about four bites total. I'm used to English fish and chips where a giant filet of pollack or haddock fills your plate. I sat for about 5 mins before I had to ask the hostess for a food menu because the bartender was doing other things. I order a drink and food. We were waiting for this Burton's to open up and it has not disappointed. We used to go to a Burton's in Boca and were hoping this would be a new place to add to our rotation, and it quickly has! Service each time we have been has been great, and the biggest plus for us is they have a kid's menu. And it's a good amount of food as it comes with 3 sides. The menu does differ compared to what we used to order in South FL, but each things I've had at this location has been delicious. My current favorite is the short rib grilled cheese.
