Stellar experience at Burton's Grill in Mansfield. The transformation of this space is impressive. You would never know it was once a TGI Fridays. The restaurant has a classy, upscale atmosphere and feels like a major upgrade for the area. Service was superb from start to finish, with an excellent menu, great drinks, and absolutely delicious food. Everything we tried was well prepared and the overall experience felt polished and high quality. It is definitely a tad pricey, especially for Mansfield, but in this case I think the quality, atmosphere, and service make it well worth the visit. We were visiting my son and his girlfriend with my parents to celebrate their new place. We took them out for brunch at Burton's and were not disappointed! There are options to sit inside or out on their patio, which is great on a nice day. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive without being domineering over the table. The brunch options were all great! Everyone loved their food. The quality was excellent and a good portion. Consistently great food! & we only have had them for takeout through DoorDash. NEVER a bad meal & that's rare!! The food just doesn't disappoint. I cannot wait to try them in person. We've had their steak frites, which is a small portion but SO good! Their fish and fish sandwiches with truffle fries and regular fries. I'm not even a fan of truffle fries but wow these are yummy! We've had their haddock with stuffed crab also great. We've had their chicken fingers, they're nice and crispy. Literally nothing bad about any meals we've gotten. This was my first time trying Burtons and I had a very underwhelming experience. I dined on a Wednesday evening and opted to seat at the bar. The service was very lackluster. It wasn't too busy, but the bartenders moved at a slow pace. It was actually happy hour, but I didn't know that until another patron sat by me and mentioned it. I decided to try the short rib grilled cheese with French fries. As I waited for my food, one bartender offered me the complimentary bar chips. My grilled cheese was decent, but I could not say the same about the French fries. They were cold and not fresh. When I asked for fresh fries, they tasted like they had just been refried, which were inedible for me to eat. Overall, Burtons was okay. I don't know if it was just this location, but maybe I will try them again at a different location. read more

Very good. Nice place. Buffalo wings were some of the best I have ever had and the blue cheese dressing was excellent. The Bread service was also an excellent appetizer. Good food. Loved the bread service and Oktoberfest draft beer(assume it's Samuel Adams by the color, it's darker). Can't really taste guava in the mojito, maybe strawberry covered it or they forgot to add guava. Will definitely go back to try more. Everything looks new. Very feminine wall paper and decors. Casual feel. We had burger and steak in our order cooked to our likes but our waitress didn't ask how we wanted them to be cooked at all. Wondering what if someone doesn't like their steak medium...? Thai steak salad was a little too salty towards the end but the sauce tastes pretty good also the enjoyed the combination of the veggies. The lotus root chips are more for the look. Personally I would enjoy cooked fresh lotus slices more. Deserts were just okay. Loved the blueberry sauce in the cheese cake, not the crust though, tastes like cinnamon graham cracker. We ordered cakes because it's someone's birthday the next day but probably won't get desert again when we go back. The layered chocolate cake doesn't taste better than a supermarket cake. read more

Just like my first review, I'm going to have to critique the portion sizes. We decided to do takeout to see if it would be better -- at least that's how it is in Framingham. My first visit to Burton's in Mansfield. We made a reservation and were seated immediately upon our arrival. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was very comfortable and decorated nicely. Our server Becky was very attentive and informative. Two of us got the rib eye steak and it was amazing and cooked perfectly. Another guest got the chicken piccata and loved it. Wonderful first experience at the new Burtons! I love to see a restaurant busy on a Tuesday night and the staff working hard. I was impressed, the place was professionally ran and all food and drinks seemed fresh. The Parmesan truffle fries were without a doubt my favorite! Actual Star Rating: 3.4. Converted from a TGI Friday's in Mansfield crossing, this 24 restaurant chain that began in Hingman, had it opening one day prior to our dining. I don't think there's a restaurant opening that doesn't have some gliches. It started upon our arrival. Our 7:00 table reservation was ready at 7:45. We visited the bar, which is a fairly large horseshoe shaped. They have a good selection of beers. The mix drinks were tasty but not very generous in size for the cost. After being seated, our waitress did a good job of keeping tabs on us. My friend got the clam chowder and reported it was thinner than his liking and could only give it an average rating. There warm bread with pesto/garlic butter and olive tapenade was tasty - but again undersized. The meals included the chicken & wild mushroom ravioli, the CA Chicken Sandwich and I had the Chicken Milanese Alfredo, which was very good. The parmesan cream sauce was very tasty over the chicken breast. Normally I have take home but due to my hunger, how tasty it was and the fact the portions are not overly large. I was told the chicken sandwich was fine - nothing fancy, and the fries were cold. They brought out more, which was not needed. They were uninspiring. Lastly two of us got the ravioli - which got thumps up. I tried and it was indeed a worthy dinner. They seem to do sauces well here. We had to sample the deserts ("had to" became more feasible due to portion size and lack of appetizers for 3 of us). The Affogato is going to get a lot of takers - and it's a winner. The Key Lime Pie was good but nothing out of the ordinary. I'm sure Burton's will do better than Fridays. The location is certainly convenient. No doubt we'll be here again. read more

The wide open floor plan is awesome. I love how you can sit outside inside. It's very bright very I said at the bar with my husband the in-house made pickles and the burgers amazing I can't stress that enough. I was extra impressed that with a packed bar packed restaurants that the flow behind the bar never missed a beat they cleaned up they took tickets all while smiling and taking care of everybody at the bar. When they first opened up, I was very happy to see them doing so well and the food and service were great. But you could tell they had a lot of training staff around. But I have to say after the last three visits they are just OK at Best. Especially with some of their entrées. My wife got the tuna bowl last night and you could tell it was premade wouldn't even doubt if it was last night bowl Daughter had chicken piccata and it was not good at all. Being a chef for 45 years just letting you know that it is a very simple recipe and I don't know why so many people cannot do it right. I played it safe and just got two appetizers and they were both OK. Service was decent and friendly. What I do like is a lot of their sandwiches. My family has been here a few times since they opened. My children have several life threatening food allergies and we have felt extremely safe eating here. They are able to accommodate a lot of our allergy needs and it is so nice to be able to eat out somewhere safely! Food and service has always been excellent as well. Kids meal are a great value. Adult meals are a bit pricey but for us to eat out as a family safely it is well worth it. Will definitely be back!! read more

Went in around 6:30pm on a Thursday. Very busy but found 2 seats at the bar after a short time. Service was excellent. Food was very good. Dry rub chicken wings, cheese burger and fries, and chicken piccata were all delicious. Food was hot and served quickly. Good selection for beer and wine. Restaurant is pretty. Would give zero stars if I could. I ordered the Maxx burger cooked medium and got a burger that was basically still mooing. Also, I requested extra pickles and this is what I got. There also was no "special sauce" which is why I specifically ordered this burger. The truffle fries were obviously old and very stale and not warm. We also ordered the Mediterranean risotto and the chicken was slightly pink with most of the pieces having large tendon chunks. Extremely disappointed, especially considering the price. Cibo Matto has their work cut out for them and will need to spice their menu up (over the years it has not changed much) I love Burton's extensive gluten free menu and their Gluten Free Calamari! I can't have the sauce it comes ( As I am Gluten and dairy free) so I request Marinara and it does not disappoint ! Husband loves the bolognese best in the area so he says. My go to is their beet salad I ask for NO GOAT CHEESE and it's literally a pile of beets with crushed nuts and Arugula and it's perfect! Although today we went and it was a brunch menu. Husband tried the French toast and it looked like a bread pudding! He said it reminded him of the old Cheesecake Factory French toast before they changed it up years ago! We decided to give it another chance. This was like night and day. Our waitress Mary was awesome. We ordered a couple of drinks and an appetizer. She said that when we were ready to order just to get her attention and she will be right over. We put our order in right then but told her to give it 15 or so then put it in. The manager Lynn came over to our table and we had a great back and forth with her about different things. The food was very good and hot. This place is horrible,l ordered takeout after a 12 hour shift at work i was advised to order on the phone per the young girl that answered the phone that really didn't know what she was talking about, and she had to talk to others while she was talking to me, so unprofessional because I had never been there before so I tried two items one the eggrolls number two the Bolognese absolutely disgusting dried out fermented pasta no sauce. It was absolutely disgusting. $47 for takeout. I will never return. I don't think anybody should return to this place.
