This was far from our first visit, but I'm going to review it again because I can. We came for an anniversary dinner. Food was, as we have learned to expect, excellent. Service was prompt and friendly. Sadly, we skipped dessert (we both had appetizers... stuffed zucchini and philly rolls), and packed some of our entrees (a big salad and a Mediterranean risotto) to take home for lunch the next day. Update to my previous review a few days ago. I still do like this restaurant but they need to modify their processes. When you order a drink from the bar, they put the order in to the bartender and maybe 15 minutes later your drink arrives. In comparison, if you order a drink at 'Not Your Average Joe's' just up the street, the waiter/waitress goes to the bar and brings your drink right away, less then a minute wait. Also, I'm not familiar with how it works for your food but they weren't remotely busy... maybe 30% capacity if that. My food was cold when it arrived, my wife's was moderately warm. The Reuben sandwich was good but I bet it would have been great if warm. Likewise, the fries were just soggy and a waste. read more

Had another delicious lunch at Burton's in Nashua! Tried a few new things off the specials menus (martini and soup), and they didn't disappoint! Also shared a meal with my husband, which is one of my favorite things about this place. They actually plate your meal on 2 separate plates in the back when they're preparing it if you tell them you're sharing when you order (whereas a lot of places will only bring you extra small plates after serving you). There are ample bar seats available (especially at lunchtime), and a couple of our favorite bartenders were working today, which made this particular visit even more fun! My husband and I love Burtons Grill in Nashua. We eat out very often and it is our favorite place. We eat at the bar most nights. The bartenders are OUTSTANDING Top level service. Great cocktails. Took my wife for our anniversary and had a great experience. Two weeks later we took our party of twelve for a birthday celebration. Staff was great and we were seated right away, when we ordered we were told that they were out of Filet so four of us ordered the ribeye and it was horrible. How can a steak house run out of Filet ? Came here last night (on a Monday night) with a group of 13 people for a friend's birthday party. We had reservations ahead of time and they sat us at a large booth split into two tables with a gap in the middle (not ideal for a group party, as it made the group feel separated from each other). I was surprised they didn't have a private room or the ability to offer us a more "party-type" table. We were greeted with friendliness and then proceeded to order our drinks from our server (whose I can't remember his name for the life of me: tall with beard, that's all I know). We had to specifically request bread for the table (both regular and gluten-free), which was a little annoying since they should be offered automatically. They also didn't give us enough bread for everyone in the party. The gluten-free focaccia bread had a nice flavor, with a somewhat sponge-like texture. Herb butter = DELICIOUS. When it came time to order, I was able to choose from a large gluten-sensitive menu, which was almost as big as the regular one, which was very nice! I ordered the Salmon Romesco: Gulf of Maine bronzed salmon (crisped to perfection and absolutely delicious, good portion), "Romesco sauce" (some sauce that the rice sat on that looked similar to buffalo sauce but tasted like a tomato-based sauce... interesting color but complemented the rice/salmon well), herbed jasmine rice (pretty standard, but still delicious), green beans (kind of wimpy, wilted, would have liked them fresher and more flavorful to be honest), citrus fennel slaw (consisted of a tiny 1/2 dollar size swirl of a lemony-fennel cabbage slaw...tasty but also kinda wimpy in size too). Now, for the downside.... Our server made so many mistakes it wasn't even funny: 1. I waited 30 minutes until my empty water glass finally got filled 2. He made our friend's drink wrong, he wanted grape juice in his cocktail and instead got grapefruit juice 3. Our food came out sporadically instead of all at once, my meal being one of the first, so I had to just stare at my delicious hot food while the rest of the salads (that should have been brought out first), came out 3-5 minutes after. 4. He messed up the order for the birthday guy and his wife and they had to wait while the rest of us ate our food (put cheese on the burger when there wasn't supposed to be and also forgot the caramelized onions she requested). 5. When it came time to split the bill he put the wrong items on wrong receipts so we had a huge mess of bills and had to end up Venmo-ing each other the differences. While I understand we were a large group, the entire restaurant was barely full so it made no sense to me why they wouldn't have prepared better for our large party. For the price that you pay when you come here, you aren't just paying for the food, you're paying for the atmosphere/service, and the service lacked significantly tonight. read more

Such an effortlessly delightful meal. A perfect cut of filet, paired with a risotto which despite being a bit past its prime was excellent and delicious; a General Tso's Cauliflower which I honestly would have been hard pressed to pass on despite an aversion to cauliflower. Presentation- 5/5 Taste- 5/5 The establishment itself, despite its success, lacks pretension. I'd eat here every day of the week if I was in the area. Don't pass this up. read more

So happy to be back at Burton's!! We made reservations for dinner as we weren't sure what the bar scene was (we usually sit at the bar) - everything was great, and we were happy to see limited bar seating. They have indoor and outdoor seating, we were indoor and everything was spaced appropriately - we are total germ-phobes and we felt very comfy. Our server was Monica and she was very sweet, attentive but not too much, she let us enjoy our drinks before ordering dinner. We were happy to see Mike at the bar, he stopped by to say hi which was so nice. Food was delicious, as usual - I had the super food salad with salmon and hubby had the wings with an order of fries - SOOOO good. As an FYI on the bar seating, it is limited and first-come-first-served, we will give it a try next time. Did we say, SO happy to back at Burton's!! read more

Horrible experience at this overpriced meh chain restaurant location last Saturday. We took my dad here for Father's Day last weekend since he likes their crab cakes as they have little crab in them (he loves bread), and my brother in law is gluten intolerant so he can order from their GF menu. I don't know if the kitchen was understaffed due to Covid stimulus checks or what, but it took 1 hour from the time we ordered and the time we finally received our entrees. My haddock was double salted and everyone else's were lukewarm, albeit properly cooked, but we ate them anyway, as we were starving at that point. When the waiter brought our entrees I asked if they forgot to cook our order, but he smiled and said, no and apologized for the delay. Although he did take $40 off the bill, during that hour he was nowhere to be found, and provided no explanation for the delay. He never came by to check on our table, never offered to refill our beverages, never brought nor even offered to bring bread to the table. My brother in law got up to stretch his legs after the first 30 minutes, but couldn't find our server. This was definitely one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had, and that's coming from a NYC Foodie who travels. I'm giving it 2 stars for atmosphere, and the GF options, but doubt I'll ever be back on my frequent trips to NH. read more

Went for lunch with my mother. I ordered the "Maxx burger. Was cooked fine but the fries were overcooked. Ma's order was a haddock fish sandwich, she told me that it tasted peppery. Went here for an early Mother's Day dinner for my mother. Took the whole family both kids wife. Service was great waitress continued to check on us food came out quickly to. Mai tais were really good could enough liquor for a buzz but not strong enough to be unenjoyable. As far as the food I orders the beef short ribs which was tender and sort of flavorful but small portion for $36. My daughter got the short riot grilled cheese that was supposed to be on cibeta bread but on regular bread wasn't anything to brag about. Wife got ribeye steak $42 definitely wasn't worth the price it wasn't bad thou. App menu didn't have much choices items were basic stuff you can find anywhere. Considering the prices of the restaurant you'd think the menu would be more creative and have more options. Overall food was ok but for a $258 bill certainly wouldn't come back read more

Not surprised, I was the only Asian patron at this restaurant when I arrived. My date was half Asian and half white but looked a lot less Asian compared to most mixed individuals I know. The food was pretty good. The service was decent as well. It was easy to find free parking nearby. I enjoyed taking the stroll on the street the restaurant was located. It was very cute with a lot of vintage looking shops. I love how there is no sales tax in New Hampshire and would love to be back again! read more

I have to give this review because this is the second time this has happened! Last year on Easter Sunday they were out of mashed potatoes and we didn't really think anything of it, but this year they were out of filet mignon and that was the reason we went to the restaurant in the first place....they have an excellent filet! They were also out of calamari, so we decided not to get an appetizer. Although we had a good meal it truly wasn't what any of us wanted, such a let down! I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because our meal was good. We won't be back there again on Easter Sunday, they just don't know how to order enough food! A year has passed since my last dining experience at a Burton's, so I decided to give them another shot with the hopes that things improved. I ordered a burger and a salad, assuming that those are two pretty safe options that can't go wrong. The burger was bland, flavorless, and disgusting. The salad was nothing special, in fact I could have made a much more impressive salad at a grocery market's salad bar. The vibe of Burton's is supposed to emulate an upscale vibe- the food at Not Your Average Joe's is ten times better. If you are looking for an upscale dining experience with food that is edible, go to the Bancroft or Eddie V's in Burlington, or Grazie's in Dracut. Burton's has proven that time after time, the food is deplorable. It's too bad. read more

You had me at $ 1.00 oysters! Almost everyday, the restaurant features a different special. One Wednesday "Hump Day" they offer $ 1.00 oysters and $ 1.00 shrimp cocktail until they run out. We usually try to get there before 7 PM. If you do arrive between 3-6, the wine bottles are half off. I just stick with my $ 5.00 /glass house wine. We usually order apps or a small entree in addition to the oysters, wine and scotch. The Blue cheese chopped bacon salad is also really delicious! Calamari was great. Management is great. They are always seen interacting with the customers and running out dishes to help out their staff. Staff is either super friendly or cold. There is no in between. They probably hate $1.00 oyster days but they bill easily racks up with 3 rounds of wine and whisky on the rocks. The bar area is a nice place to sit and talk to other diners. read more

Burton's is located at the Pheasant Lane Mall between Dick's Sporting Goods and JC Penney. Be forewarned- you can't enter the restaurant from within the mall. That said, there's lots and lots of parking. So be prepared to fight those old ladies, SAHMs, suited up dads, etc. Upon walking in, Burton's is wicked, wicked dim. H and I came in at 6:45pm in December, but whoa was it darker than anticipated. Whatevs. We were the first of our party (originally there was NINE of us, but the group of cousins widdled down to FIVE) to arrive for a 7pm reservation, but the hostess was kind enough to seat us early... and even personally walk lil old pregnant me to the restroom. Slowly the party trickled in and Colby was our waiter. Let me start off by saying that Colby was AMAZING! He put up with my crazy cousin (there's always that one black sheep...) and kept said cousin, brother and H entertained with his (Colby's) witty remarks and answers. He was a good sport and even joshed with me in light- but I was feeling the pregnancy pains... Preggo monster! Everyone ordered oysters... and I had to stomach everyone slurping up the yummy $1 oysters. :( I had bread and butter (the butter is wicked yummy by the way!)... H ordered the prime rib and he said it was perfectly cooked- even if he didn't get much risotto. Cousin D ordered steak and didn't talk too much about how he liked his food... but he's a complainer. If he didn't like his food, you'd know. Brother S ordered a burger (the cheapest entree on the menu) and he said it was a typical burger. Was it worth $13? Maybe not. Was it a good accompaniment to the 6 dozen oysters the guys ordered? Yep! There was a small mix up with my dish- when I asked Colby about the Bleu cheese, he assured me everything was pasturerized and aged. Awesome! So I ordered the Mediterranean Chicken Risotto. Imagine my surprise when shrimp fettuccini Alfredo graced its deliciousness to our table. The manager (I think she was a manager. She only brought out our food, but quickly rectified the situation (I was NOT mad or sounded mad! I figured it was an honest mistake- and it was!)) quickly gave me a few choices to hold me over until my meal came- I decided on a wedge salad. Literally, like 10 minutes later, my chicken risotto came. And it was deeeeelish! Saltier than the one served in Connecticut, but still yummy. Colby, of course, apologized and we figure it's because he and I talked about the pasturerized cheese. Overall it was a great experience and a good restaurant. We'll come back! read more

I went here on a first date with a guy I met online. He was terrible. Do you know what made it all better? The food this place served. I went simple and got the California Chicken Sandwich and it was absolutely phenomenal. Each bite was like a trip to flavorland, I would have never thought a chicken sandwich could make me fall in love (Not with the internet guy, but with the food). Even the sweet potato fries were the best I've ever had! The atmosphere was nice and our waiter was extremely pleasant and informative. My only complaint, which wasn't the worst thing in the world was, we sat right near the kitchen, and the smell of fish and seafood was stinky and overwhelming. (I'm not a fish lover by any means so that might be why it grossed me out so bad.) Overall, this restaurant made a pretty bad date not so bad. read more

The restaurant was crowded on this Saturday night with a 1 hour wait, but thanks to a yelp reservation we were seated quickly. The service was also quick and pleasant, drinks and bread arrived soon after. Although the menu is not extensive there is plenty of choice. The crab crusted haddock was fresh and tasty with plenty of crab crust. Likewise the shrimp and lobster pasta had plenty of seafood. The filet mignon was also well prepared and tender. We also tried the desserts but they are not as good, and took a very long time to come out. Frankly we were too full anyhow. I would forgo those next time. It was a little pricey, dinner for 3 with only 2 modest alcoholic beverages and 2 cappuccinos came to $170. read more

We have been going here off and on for several years and never been disappointed. From lunch to dinner and even just a couple of drinks at the bar. The last few times have been an exceptional experience from start to finish. The way we were greeted upon entering, the wait staff's ability to listen and got everything right, very pleasant and helpful with any questions on the menu. The drinks were great, made to order and a good value. Our meals were as ordered and great tasting, so far everything we have had has been good.
