Ownership and management obviously don't care about their customers. Long lines in the drive through with one, maybe two attendants serving while other employees can be seen talking and standing around inside. Let me say that I love Bush's, but this location just seams to be missing the mark. I've waited for the newness to wear off before rating, thinking they just needed time to get going. My first complaint is I never seam to get fresh fries. They are almost always lukewarm and soggy. Secondly, the last couple of times I've visited, they are always out of dark meat, and I've been left waiting for chicken legs(if it wasn't for the kids, I'd say throw whatever in the box). Tonight it's a 13 minute wait! I will say the tenders are usually great, and you can't beat tender Tuesday. I really want to give them a higher rating, they just seam to fall a bit short. read more

Very disappointed with my had a fairly big order for my family a 16 tender family meal with a side of fried okra, corn nuggets & Mac&cheese get home and realize I got mashed potatoes instead of Mac& cheese and did not get my gravy and on top of that the only thing that was warm at all was the okra so I go back to get the Mac and cheese and gravy I get that come home and then realize I did not get my rolls either by that point we had already eaten and I wasn't about to go back again but all in all just very disappointed read more

We visited this location after 7pm. The restaurant was moderately busy but the staff was on top of things. Great customer service, the food was piping hot and fresh (nothing worse than soggy, cold fries) -- everything from the fries to the fried okra to the chicken strips tenderswere all good. Pre-warning the chicken tenders are huge and the rolls are very good and addicting. Restaurant was clean, ambience was mellow and the staff was attentive. Great job and keep it up! read more

Be prepared to wait and wait and then wait some more.. no sense of urgency and miserable failure on running an efficient drive thru. A tell tail sign to management, if there is any, is the vast amount of vehicles that attempt to order food and then drive off in frustration at a 20min wait or when bypassed for a car that arrived after them because there is no system of keeping track of who ordered or arrived first. We just moved to Boerne & went to the Bush's drive-thru today for lunch. Young lady who "helped" us was very rude & snarky from start to finish. Angrily glared at us through the whole process, snatched money out of my hand & practically tossed our food at us. She acted like we just shot her dog or something. Too bad I didn't catch her name, because I think a complaint to a higher management person was in order. I will usually give any place a second chance because you never know what's going on behind the scenes on any particular day, but her attitude & actions were so poor I'm inclined to pass on the second chance for this place. I called and said I'd be sending my son to pick up the things THEY forgot to pack...the guy asked whose name was on the receipt. Dude, I have no idea...I. trashed it as soon as I paid so he proceeds to tell me that he doesn't know who packed the food so there's no way to tell what I actually paid for...seriously like I was just there 8 minutes ago and I'm sure no other person has ordered the 20 piece chicken tender family meal...I can recite exactly what I ordered back to you!!!! I've been through there 4 times using the drive thru. 1st time I was ignored, 3 customers drove up after I did, placed orders, paid and left before anyone noticed me sitting right there in front of them... got home and order was short so I didn't eat that night, my family eats before I do. 2nd and 3rd times I got my dad some gizzards... didn't screw that up. I pulled up in the drive thru and I had 4 cars that arrived after me that were served before me. I was there for 25 minutes and nobody even came up to my car to take my order. Okay--it's a fried chicken joint, so don't get TOO excited, but Bush's latest franchise entry into Boerne has landed with a splash and very positive acceptance in the area. My high school aged son LOVES it and lots of his friends work there, so you can expect earnest, if sometimes amateur, service. No matter though, I predict this will become THE high school hangout in short order next year! Both the chicken and tenders are brined/marinated and are juicy and tender to the bite--and not overly greasy, but the chicken can be a tad salty depending upon your sensitivity to this. The sides are okay, but the macaroni and cheese is bright orange and yet amazingly free of any flavor! Don't waste the calories. Okra and fries are very good. The deal here is "Tender Tuesday", which buys a box of 16 tenders (although I counted 21 in mine) 6 fresh baked yeast rolls, and a tub of cream gravy for $10.99!! Best chicken place in boerne, way better than church's chicken and Popeyes chicken. The chicken taste so fresh and juicy. They get the food ready so fast and have many dipping sauce options. I would say this place is as good as KFC but not as good as golden chicken. The bushs in boerne is cleaner than in San Antonio. If you like quick chicken in boerne then go with this place over churches definitely, faster, more polite service and much better quality all around read more

It was quite evident there was NO ADULT SUPERVISION at this location today around 12:30, we waited at the counter for over 15 minutes and never even got our order taken. It was like all the employees were except the 1 cook were all in slow motion and totally disorganized. Service sucks stood in line for 15 min no one at counter. Manager would never turn around to acknowledge any customers where there. Other employees just passed by never said a word. Other people came in behind me and was also totally ignored. The entire staff was too busy working with drive-thru customers and not inside customers. After 20 minutes finally an employee that had seen us standing there the entire time ask if we had been helped. Manager still never would exnolige any one. Poor management poor operations. I have now been waiting for over 30 minutes for the "Tender Tuesday" deal. I have watched the staff work in one of the most unorganized ways that I'be seen. They take extremely long, are constantly asking who's doing what, running out of meal items, and standing and watching "their" boxes instead of helping customers. They have also gone in/out of the kitchen, operated the cash registers, gone in/out to the cars waiting multiple times and multiple people and not a single one has washed their hand. The team in the back even mopped their floor while 10+ people waited in line then proceeded to pull the chicken out, never touching a sink. I worked the restaurant business for 10+ years and currently work as a manager with 270 employees in the Emergency Department and this is incredibly unorganized and the most dissatisfying thing is the lack of cleanliness and urgency. read more

Beware: A "side" of fries really means 10, been under a heat lamp for 3hrs lukewarm and soggy, fries. This location was not busy at all when I went through the Drive-Thru, I would have happily waited 3 minutes for a FULL SIDE of FRESH FRIES, especially being that they were out of the first two sides I wanted.
