I have never been one to leave reviews, but after the lovely experience I had this morning, I simply felt I should. The young lady I spoke with on the phone was just as kind and patient as could be. She answered every one of my questions without making me feel rushed, and her manners were absolutely wonderful -- something you do not always come across these days. I believe her name was Ashtin or perhaps Aspen, though I may not be remembering correctly. Regardless, she was such a delight to speak with and made the entire call pleasant from beginning to end. It is rare to find someone so genuinely warm, professional, and helpful. Whoever she is, I hope she is recognized for her kindness and excellent customer service. Young people like her are truly a blessing. After speaking with her, I am even more excited to come in for Mother's Day brunch with my family. We cannot wait to dine there, and if the service over the phone is any indication, I am sure the experience will be absolutely wonderful. read more

The Kendall Restaurant is part of the iconic Kendall Hotel. It's primarily a steakhouse but they've got lots of great options. We stopped by for lunch...it was GOOD! Service was good too. For lunch we shared the pimento cheese app: Celery, pickles, bacon, crackers, and jalapeños. AMAZING! Lots of other things on the menu I want to try the next time we're in town. My family and I visited this place for Mother's Day brunch as it was highly rated on Yelp. However, it didn't live up to the hype. We had a reservation for 11AM, which was their opening time. They seated us promptly, but our server took an unusual long 15 minutes to arrive at our table and take our drink order. Their breakfast brunch buffet which was not advertised was so disappointing. It consisted of scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon and frozen sausage patties which were far inferior to any rinky dinky hotel's complimentary hot breakfast. I've had a much better breakfast at the Drury Inn. The only redeeming feature of the buffet was a very dry pork loin, which was a compete letdown. To make matters worse, we were charged $69 per person for this hot breakfast buffet. Our total bill excluding a tip for four people was $340. I would NEVER return to this restaurant, and I would never recommend it to anyone. read more

I visited this restaurant on a recent trip to Boerne since it was the #1 spot, according to Yelp, despite only 5 reviews. I felt it was taking a risk by coming here, but I knew it was also a famous spot in town with a lot of history. They sat us in the back in a very loud section. It took over 1 hour to bring out the main course and they said/claimed we were stuck behind a wedding party when I questioned the timing. There is no bread here or rolls, just cornbread, which you must purchase so it made the wait even more painful. Our server was nice, quirky and even new, but seemed competent. He was busy serving many other tables during our wait, but we were still wondering "when is our food going to come out?" The food finally came out and was actually very good, thankfully. I was giving the kitchen 15 more minutes at one point and when the entrees did come out, I was only 1 minute away from just paying for my French onion soup and walking out as they took 14 more mins. Both the steak we ordered, which ended up being a massive 16 oz steak with a very nice char flavor, as well as the venison chop were so delicious. It turns out when the check comes, they had charged us for the larger steak on the menu and so I guess that's why the steak seemed so large because it was indeed larger and not what we ordered. I notified the server and he quickly fixed the bill. I didn't bother ordering dessert since I figured it may be another hour. I wasn't in a hurry to leave initially but after sitting there watching other tables come, order their food and leave and new customers coming, then getting their drinks, appetizers and main courses while I'm still sitting there waiting on 2 measley main dishes, it was beyond ridiculous. read more

We came back for their chicken and margaritas, and we definitely weren't disappointed--especially since we had Raul as our server! He was incredibly attentive and so kind. We came on a Sunday night, and it wasn't too busy, which made the experience even more enjoyable. My boys ordered a cheeseburger with fries, and I was able to try a bite--it was really good as well. I came here one afternoon with an engagement party (large group). The bartender was so happy to see us and not annoyed by a large group that just swarmed in. Our party of four dined here this evening (5/8/2026) for the first time. We were all delighted by the experience. The food was exceptional. Three of us who had the filet raved it was the best steak we had in a long time. The filet was tender and tasteful. The French onion soup was superb. I can't say enough about this newly opened eatery. I'd give it beyond 5 stars if I could. Entering, you are met with an elegant, cozy, & historic Hillcountry interior. Impeccable service, and some of the most delicious food in Boerne in my opinion. The fried quail is a must try. All steaks come with mouthwatering bone-marrow butter that is really tasty. Even the grilled asparagus is exceptional. Someone knows what they are doing with the seasoning of their foods. And their desserts are next level. Don't miss the blueberry cheesecake. Luxuriously rich and decadent; and the perfect size. I'm so thrilled to have this option here in Boerne. They also have a great Bar, and wrap around covered outdoor dining space that is nestled in beautiful mature oaks and Hillcountry ambiance. On our next return we hope to catch their happy hour in the Bar and try their pulled-pork sliders and fried cheese-balls. YUM! read more

We loved our experience! Everything was outstanding - our server, Pamela, was so attentive and helpful.

We loved going to Pegg's on the Green and looked forward to the new restaurant that replaced it. There was a group of us (6 people) and made reservations for lunch at 1130. It took over one hour for us to have someone take our lunch orders, despite there being only 3 tables occupied. When we ordered coffee, it was spilled on the table and the same happened when the water glasses were filled. We had to ask for napkins in order to mop up the mess. Our food was delicious, but the wait was far too long for it to arrive. The same for when we wanted our checks and then for the wait person to collect and then return the credit cards. All in all, we spent over two plus hours there, mostly waiting on service or our server - the restaurant at most had only 4 tables occupied during this whole time, including ours. None of us showed any inclination to return especially since we drove from Spring Branch, Wimberly and San Antonio to meet up. Too bad since the food was good and we enjoyed the ambience. Not a repeat occasion, regretfully, unless we learn of marked improvement. Service is still a major consideration when dining out, as well as food quality. read more
