Ordered a pattie melt with sourdough.. got hamburger buns. Really. Gave this place enough chances. My fault really. This place needs to close.

Zero ambiance, ok burger, old grease tasting tater tots, dirty drink dispenser, and loud noise inside But I nor anyone in my family got sick , and we had a good time The Closedown drive through is hard to explain and except

Four piece chicken strip basket with gravy and okra.

The chicken finger basket was delightful and the gravy was also very good, but the okra was even better. The restaurant is part of a gas station and convenience store but uniquely features railroad memorabilia and an outdoor deck area covered with a large tree so there is both indoor and outdoor dining. The outdoor dining is screened from the gas pumps and convenience store so you would hardly notice. Orders are taken at the cash register with an open cooking area so diners will stand and wait or find a seat and listen for their name to be called. Expect a very long wait. The best option is to call ahead before arrival and request takeout but eat inside instead. It looked like there was once a drive-thru but it was unclear if that was still in operation.

    Cheeseburger with onion rings

A old friend and I stopped in the Longhorn Cafe in Boerne Texas to eat lunch and chat. I had a delicious cheeseburger and some of the best onion rings I've had in a while. He had a chicken fried chicken plate which he said was also real good but he could not finish. There is no waitstaff, as it is an order at the counter place, but the cashier was very sweet and attentive. The order came out 100% correct! The large eating area never got full, but it was close and they have outdoor seating with plenty of room for overflow on nice weather days. The prices were on the lower side of most similar places that we've been to. We will definitely be returning to this place!

Walking in the restaurant smelt funny. Thankfully they had out door seating. Longhorns food never disappoints. We all had cheese burgers The big juicy and it was delicious! The onion rings big and cooked to perfection!

Not many people at 6P on Monday night. We stopped for a quick bite prior to a meeting in Boerne. Looked like a skeleton crew in the kitchen. We ordered a burger and fries and a fish sandwich. Fries were uneatable as the were soggy and greasy. Burger was just OK. This place is always hit or miss and I'm just not going to return. Sad as it has real potential in the area.

Came in for a pit stop, I smelt the food from the gas station connected to it. So I decided to come in, I was in a rush, so I asked what's the quickest meal I could have made, and the cashier with a big bright smile, (who was a good listener by the way) told me that they could have a burger out in less than 10 minutes. She did not lie. She also made sure I was gonna enjoy my burger by asking me if I was sure I wanted everything on it, I adjusted my burger accordingly and was out and on the road again. Bella (the cashier) has far superior customer service than anyone cashier I've spoken to. She shows concern and is great with suggestions. She defianlty deserves more credit if she hasn't received enough already. 5/5 burger joint.

Why does nobody know that there is a Chicken Fried STEAK (CFS for short) sandwich on the menu?? It's the 1st item on the board! This is the 3rd time that I have (very clearly) stated CFS sandwich only to get fried chicken. They keep arguing it doesn't come in a sandwich. TEACH YOUR STAFF THE MENU!

We do not care for the greasy, overcooked wing alternative in town and felt these were a million times better! The totchos were crisp, definitely did not skimp on the brisket, and their cheese sauce was perfect! I was only asked once if he was a service dog (as he didnt have an obvious identifier on) and was so pleased with our service and interactions with the staff regarding his presence, and during our entire visit! This is so appreciated, my disabilities are not externally obvious and as a result I've been subject to undue scrutiny, harassed or completely ignored by waitstaff at multiple places around boerne and elsewhere. Thank you for being professional and respectful!

The waiter asked me if I wanted to add bacon...well of course I do! Man what a good suggestion. Honesty, it may have been some odd mistake because that burger seemed loaded up with crispy bacon. It literally had bacon on the bottom and top of the patties...it was amazing. I think I told my wife 3 times, "There really has bacon on the top AND BOTTOM of this thing!" Patties were perfectly seasoned, vegetables were fresh, cheese was melty, freaking chef's kiss baby! This burger hit the spot. I paired it with the mac and cheese, solid option to have as a side other than fries. Next time I might go with the onion rings, but as I think about it, I will likely get the mac and cheese again...AND get onion rings, too.

Beware The "Pastrami Reuben"…read more I saw that hundreds of people on Yelp had reviewed Cibolo Creek Brewing and overall ratings were over 4 stars. I should have done a bit more reading and looking at the pictures. We stopped in on a mid-afternoon Sunday in early June. First impression upon entering through the front door was confusion. It was not really clear what the process was to order and get a seat. We approached the bar area and then noticed the "order here and seat yourself" signs. Several people came in behind us and so we felt a bit rushed to order. There were several craft beers on tap, but I was told I could not get a flight at the moment. I was able to get a taster, but with all the people behind me waiting to order, I didn't feel I had time to find out more about the beers before committing to a 16oz pour or lose my place in line. Shame on me for not doing my homework. We tried "The BEST Burger" and the "Pastrami Reuben", both with fries and two beers for close to $60 plus tip. The burger wasn't the best. It was sort of "meh". The homemade fries were good. The so-called Reuben was closer to a brisket sandwich than an actual Reuben. The meat was very mesquite-wood-smokey and then appeared to have been fried on a grill (definitely not steamed). It was very chewy despite being thinly sliced and had NONE of the flavor good pastrami has. The menu claims the meat is tri-tip, but tri-tip is known to be a tender cut. The meat on that sandwich was NOT tender. Cibolo Creek Brewery is in a great location (which sort of explains the prices) right next to the Cibolo Creek Trail and River Road Park and they do have a nice covered outdoor seating area with large family-style picnic tables. I may return to sample a few more of their beers and see if there is something I like better on the menu.

Then, when he got sick and had to change it to Monday, we idiots did not look to see if it was open that day. We were driving out to Pipe's Creek to check on my trailer, so he looked online for restaurants in the area that were open and found Jo Mama's. After a quick look at the menu, we decided it was worth a try. They had several specialty burgers that all sounded good, so we stopped in. The dining room is tiny, but you do have the option of eating in Chubby's bar next door. We stayed in the dining room. The people working at the restaurant were all super nice and helpful. I ordered a bacon and blue cheese burger with a side of sweet potato fries and an extra cup of their homemade blue cheese dressing for dipping. My son ordered the Frito pie burger with tater tots. We also both ordered sweet tea, which was actually bottles of Gold Peak. My son did surprisingly well with his burger. It was super loaded with chili and thus super messy. After he had scarfed the burger down, he had a full serving of Frito pie on his plate. He said the chili was awesome. The tots however were just "okay". My burger was amazing. The patty and bread were the perfect match. The bacon was thick and crispy. Everything came together to make it really delicious. But, if I'm honest, the highlight of my meal was the sweet potato fries. They were nice and crispy. But, what put them over the top was a generous sprinkle of sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla powder. That combination was positively addicting. I blindly ate all of them, which is very unusual for me. I normally eat about 6 or 8 fries and give the rest away. I visit my trailer to check on it after major storms and when I haven't camped as much. Plus I go to Pipe Creek to hook it up for trips and bring it back for storage. I'm pretty sure there will be a hamburger in my belly every time I go there in the future. I want to work through the menu and try the others. Why? Just because they are there, and after eating one of them, I know the rest are going to be awesome, too.
