This is comfort food done right. The chicken is consistently perfect at this location of Bush's chicken. The skin has just the right amount of crispy crunchy and the chicken meat underneath has the perfect amount of juicy moist tenderness. I love the Popeyes, but they do serve me some burned chicken sometimes and that's just no fun for anyone. The sides are awesome too from the okra (my personal favorite) to the mac and cheese, fries and corn on the cob. The rolls are light, fluffy and pair perfectly with the fried chicken. The food here would never be mistaken for a health tonic, but it is rich in vitamin taste. It's a salve to both the stomach and to the soul. The service is efficient and friendly. We've seen some of the same faces here for years. It speaks highly of the management, whom we've seen in action on a few occasions. He treats his employees with kindness and respect. It simultaneously warms our hearts and makes us feel great about giving this place our business. The portions are generous and you get a lot value for your dollar here.

We never eat here we normally go to Church's BUT they were closed yesterday for what ever reason and we decided to try it. The staff were so busy in the drive thru, that has THREE LANES BTW! The staff were really working, working. Great group of employees. Not a long wait at all, we ordered the 2 piece with a side. We wanted a leg, thigh and I got mac n cheese and my husband ordered the fried okra. Everything we ordered tasted way better than KFC. We would go back, only negative there was a hole in the bottom of my sweet tea and leaked all inside my car.

Very very disappointed. Skinny burned legs and half of what i normally receive in okra. For this i paid over $10 and even gave the kid a cash tip.

Left: one thigh, one leg, roll, and a side of fries. Right: 4 pieces of tenders with gravy, roll, and a side of fried okra

Decent fried chicken joint. It reminds me of Popeyes. All pieces are fried to perfect crispiness. Fries are thin cut and good. Fried okra is also very good. The chicken and the batter are a bit bland. Wish they would marinade the chicken better and long or added more seasoning to the batter and the meat. I'm not a sweet tea person but their sweet tea really lives up to the hype. It's really worth being called "famous". The tea has a very unique strong tea flavor and perfectly sweetened. Their crushed ice makes it taste even better. The restaurant is bright and clean. The staff always wipe off each table every time someone leaves. The staff move very fast and all of them are very nice. Since they move very fast, just make sure you're ready to order and know what you get before you get in line.

The worst chicken livers we have ever had! Couldn't even eat them they were so over cooked. Will never go back!

When did Bush's start serving Pidgeon wings? My husband ordered me two wings, mashed potatoes, roll, and a drink for $9.49. The wings were tiny. I had a couple of wingettes (chicken forearms) left from a wing order last week from a Chinese restaurant. They each were as large as the entire wing from Bush's.

I have been coming to bushes for years and absolutely love the food and workers. However today I experienced extremely unpleasant treatment from a manager due to the fact that I came in with my 6 week old puppy in my arms to order to-go food. I only came in because they don't take tap to pay in the drive way and was inside for all of 4 minutes. I felt as though the comment was very unpleasant and could have been avoided entirely. 2/10 for manager Isreal!! All the other employees were a light to the situation.

Okay, so I stopped by to pick up food for hubby! I must say this is the cleanest Bush's Chicken I have ever seen. Also the staff is so amazing organized and so respectful. Y'all going to mess around and have me eating chicken. Keep up the great work!

Good chicken, good rolls, good gravy, good fries, and good fried okra. Drive through only at this time due to COVID - 19, but the line moves fast.

Apparently unless you pull into lane #1 you are left to sit while everyone that pulled in after you places their order. That pisses me off.

Burgers cooked perfectly, well seasoned, and assembled with care. Fries were so good and chili cheese fries made the right way with cheddar cheese sauce not throwing shredded cheese on top. And Culver's chili? Wow - a league of its own. Tasted like a diner I'd been to on the west coast. Super good! Definitely coming back and oh - the frozen custard. Take some pints home if you're full. Thought, on my way back, I'm stopping in. I arrived around 7pm on Friday night. The place was packed! All the seats were taken inside and a lot outside as well. Parking lot is kind of small, but it's in a shopping center, so you can find parking still nearby. As busy as it was inside, I walked right up to the counter, no lines. My cashier was nice and cheerful. One of her co-workers was leaving her shift for the night, and the 2 did a cute little hand shake. Took a minute to pick what I wanted. Basic cheese burger, fries, and a drink. I was given my receipt which had my order number on it. My whole meal was $9.00 Burger was outstanding. Crisp tomatoes, crisp lettuce. The bun is toasted but also soft. Cheeseburger also had a slice of white onion. Cheese was yellow cheese, and not melted on the burger. Loved the burger completely. Fries. Although the fries are fresh, and while I waited for my order, I could see a young lady putting potatoes through a fry cut slicer. I mean, you can literally see them being made. But they just didn't do it for me. They almost tasted stale. They were salted perfectly though. Very light salt. Perfect in that retrospect. I got a cherry Coke, although I don't drink soda often, I truly enjoyed the soda. Sometimes they have a syrup kind of taste. Cherry Coke didn't, and it was great. Didn't take long before they called my number. I sat along the bar against the window. I watched the drive thru cars leaving. The bar was clean, seat was clean, and the floor around was clean. The whole restaurant was super clean. One person was sweeping, another followed behind with a mop. It was like a perfect sync of cleaning duties. They had it down to a science. I did use the bathroom as well to wash my hands, and even the bathroom was clean, and well stocked with soap and paper seat covers and TP in the stalls. Even the trash cans looked like they had just been emptied. Even though they were cranking out food for the drive thru and inside, they still took time to keep the dinning area clean. Way To Go.

The pluses of this place: The chicken is really good, both on the bone or in tenders or sandwiches. The OG sandwich is for a big stomach, be warned, but it is delicious. Nashville hot chicken has a real spectrum of heat, so work your way up until you get to the level you're comfortable with. The selection of sides are country favorites, and the broccoli salad I tried last night is the only one I didn't care for. The pies are outstanding, and they are advertised as complimentary. The minuses: The waitstaff is consistently undermanned. The group of tables we use when we go there is served by the bartender, so when the bar is busy service is slow. Likewise, they have a drive-through window and so the kitchen can get backed up. Last night, it took 20 minutes between ordering and getting our food. Finally, they have a Korean hot chicken variant, which is not very close to good Korean hot chicken and they should stick to Nashville hot. Hint: park in the adjoining lot. Most of the spaces at Tumble 22 are reserved for pick-up.

Maybe it's because I ordered the most simple burger, but even then I feel like it probably should have been cheaper. The Oreo shake was good and also pretty standard. It was super thick and had a lot of Oreo chunks which was nice. But also on the pricier side. But I really liked the sweet potato fries. We got the shareable, and it was more than enough for two people. There were also a good mix of crispy thin pieces and thicker softer pieces. And the seasoning on them was so addicting. But what really pushed me from three stars to four was the customer service. Our fries were taking a while to come out, so we went back to the counter to check on it. Turns out, they had skipped it or something. It wasn't a big deal to us, we just let them know and we were fine waiting for it to come out.
