I love this place so much. Came again before a Dodger game. If the sandwiches weren't so messy I'd consider bringing them to eat at the game, but we had half before and half at home after the game. It's been at least a year since our last visit and either my memory has faded or the sandwiches got bigger. My husband was considering getting his usual belly buster, but reconsidered. And thankfully he did because dang these bad boys were massive. Barely needed a snack at the game after half a sandwich 4 hours earlier. Prices have consistently gone up but considering a French dip at Philippe's (where we were gonna go) is $14, Busy Bee's is worth it for the size and quality.

Hanging out in San Pedro today and had to check out the hype. Went for the hot pastrami and well it was tasty. The making process was actually very cool! They literally slice the meat when you order. And then the process begins, hot sandwiches make their way to the hot broth, the cold ones go right to the bread! Yeah that was pretty cool ! And then just find your spot on the hill for great views of the water, Catalina Island and the Long Beach Harbor !

This place holds a lot of nostalgia for both my husband and me. We love to go back because not only do we have years of memories of visiting this place, but their sandwiches are always consistently delicious through the years. The price has gone up, unfortunately, and it is quite pricey for a sandwich, but we will continue to come back for the memories and the deliciousness. The sandwiches are very large and can get messy, but they are very good. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. This place is a gem packed with delicious treats.

~CASH ONLY~ This place is poppin. Huge line outside to the stop sign on a Saturday around 1 pm. Old school corner store deli selling hot & cold sandwiches made fresh. Tons of chips inside to choose from. Belly Buster = choose 2 meats $19.50; they STACK them full of meat tho. Def can be split between 2 or eaten for 2 meals [Meatball & Italian Sausage Belly Buster -- the sauce has so much rich flavor. Not the greatest meatball sub but worth getting again.] [Beef Brisket & Pastrami Belly Buster -- flavvvurrr. The meat by itself could be eaten by itself, they know how to season. Added lettuce & tomato and it was perfect. Great sandwich. I'd solely get the brisket next time tho.] All the workers were super nice to us and made the experience really great, even with the long line. You can call ahead to order! ATM inside but they charge you $3! Honestly the prices are wild -- def shouldn't be this expensive but I do appreciate they stack it and aren't stingy with the meats. $1.50 for adding tomato is insane. Although this was super good, the prices alone make me question whether I'd go back. For desert they sell banana pudding & cookies. The chocolate chip cookie was almost $5 but it was delicious. No regrets on the purchase. It was soft, moist and not too sweet. *Located in a neighborhood so will need to find street parking since there's only a small parking lot

    Hot Pastrami. The perfect sandwich.

Still the best! Never change Busy Bee. Recommend the hot pastrami but all sandwiches are amazing. Bread is delicious.

Cash Only!! Legendary San Pedro spot. Oh my gosh, the portions are HUGE! Sandwiches range from $13.50 to $19.50. The Belly Buster $19.50 comes with two different meat of your choice! Worth the price imo because it's two meals! Hot Belly Buster w/ Pastrami + Sausage: I'm usually not a pastrami fan because it's too salty, but this was not salty and tender! the sausage didn't have a casing and was the perfect compliment. Cold Belly Buster w/ Pastrami + Capicola: cold cut was also delicious Luckily we came on a rainy day and there were only 4-5 people in line at a time. There were at least four workers so wait was quick! Workers were soo friendly. Located in a corner store, there was a large variety of sodas and chips. There's only 4 parking spots but plenty of street parking. There's no seating. If you don't want to wait, there are cold cuts ($13.50 Torpedo?) ready to grab and go.

Busy Bee Market makes delicious, craving satisfying, hunger filling sandwiches. This deli serves long lines of hungry customers daily. As big as the sandwiches are, they even have a "Belly Buster" option that you can make any sandwich a Belly Buster. You have the option of two meats that transform this sandwich into an epic meal too big for most, but ohh so delicious! The inside is a regular deli liquor store with a huge variety of potato chips and other snacks to add to your meal. All the sandwich artists and owners are very friendly and have been bringing smiles to hungry customers for many years. They now have a selection of fresh baked desserts; cookies, brownies and Banana Pudding, which is delicious! There is very limited parking, but you'll find a spot and then the anticipation begins.

This place is ALWAYS busy like a bee. Great sandwiches here! I love the meatball sandwich, my husband loves the Italian sausage. Well stocked store with lots of chip and drink options. Well maintained and clean overall, except for footprint traffic.

This place is a sandwich store with some liquor market items. This place gets super packed and busy once lunchtime rolls around so I highly recommend coming early or brace for a wait. My friends and I got the pastrami and the belly buster (pastrami/meatball). Needless to say, this sandwich is huge and basically almost 2 meals. The pastrami was very good and moist and tender. Not too fatty. The peppers are a nice touch and the sandwich was soft along with the spread. The meatball was apparently the winner out of the two for the belly buster. It's been said the sausages are pretty good too. Parking is free but very hard to find especially on peak meal hours. I'd come back here to try the other items they have. It's roughly about 20$ per sandwich and they don't take credit card here.

Market deli and beer selection is . Not great . But the sandwiches are so good totally worth the waiting in line for

Busy Bee it's special kind of sandwich place. There's a reason there's a line sandwiches are handmade. Homemade marinara sauce They make the sauce in the morning when it's foggy you can smell it when you're driving around nearby. The people that work there many of them have worked there since they were in high school. This warm and friendly family business is a San Pedro staple sandwiches taste like they did when I was a kid they don't change the way they do things here. So lucky to have a real legitimate old-school Sandwich market if you're visiting, you can skip the line and call ahead but I recommend standing in line because sometimes I hear people order things and I change my order multiple times before I get to the front. Turkey bacon avocado is a guilty pleasure for me.

Banana pudding...grab it on your way to check out.

They are now serving BANANA PUDDING. It is an amazing finish to complete the sandwich. The pudding is creamy and isn't as sweet as some of the other places. They add some chocolate and toffee as a nice touch. It comes in two sizes, single and shareable. Sometimes they do sell out, so you may want to grab extras to share with friends and family.

Went to BBM on a Saturday morning at 10:30. There was already 6-7 people in line. I ordered the hot pastrami with pickles and mustard. I believe provolone cheese comes with the sandwich as a default. Nice soft sandwich roll. The pastrami is cut thinner than most other places that I have tried but it works. Overall, a pretty tasty sandwich.

My visit to Chacis started with a misunderstanding on my part--I neglected to mention that I wanted only mustard. Their standard preparation includes a tangy house spread along with lettuce and cheese, and they don't offer yellow mustard. That said, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the sandwich. The pastrami was generously piled high, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. The tangy spread complemented the meat better than I expected, creating a sandwich that was both satisfying and memorable. My husband ordered the Torpedo and thoroughly enjoyed it with all the traditional fixings. Both sandwiches were substantial in size and fairly priced, offering excellent value. The customer service was exceptional--friendly, courteous, and genuinely welcoming. The shop is tucked inside a small neighborhood market that carries a variety of products.
