New York strip very salty and a lot of fat
    Rhonda B.

June 13 2026. Dinner with friends they took us to butcher and I am a big New York State fan. The ambience was beautiful. Hostesses were excellent. highly recommend making revelations which we did our table/booth was ready. This is a really nice place. We had a variety of different states, New York flat iron fillet and Wagyu. Everyone's steak was delicious. I felt my New York strip had too much salt. The french fries definitely over seasoned with too much salt. My only suggestion is they should have a better selection of desserts. Like carrot cake cheesecake. chocolate cake with whipped cream icing. peach pie or cobbler with vanilla bean ice cream.

Peanut Butter Bacon, not shown the fork fighting for the last bite.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Server was attentive and quick with drink refills. Atmosphere was casual elegance and would feel comfortable in shorts and a polo or dressed up for an evening out. Had lunch here June 2026. We had the Peanut Butter Bacon 5/5 stars and the Philly Steak egg rolls 4/5. The bacon tasted of peanut butter but not overwhelming and we fork fought over the last bites. Haha. The egg rolls were tasty and crispy but could've used a little more flavor. We both had the Steak Cobb Salad. The steak chunks were delicious and tender and cooked perfectly. A little too much dressing on the salad but delicious. Definitely will return!

Everyone from the hostess to our servers and even the kitchen it was all delicious! A big hand to the kitchen, oh my gosh so great!! As far as a cocktail I had Doctors Order , which is basically an old-fashion, well made by the bartender. The atmosphere is wonderful the whole restaurant well done!!

The food was decent overall, though a bit underwhelming. I considered ordering the steak but wasn't in the mood for it at the time. We tried the beef tartare, which I believe included capers--something I'm not usually a fan of, though it was recommended. I did enjoy the crab cakes, but after a few bites they felt quite rich and a bit heavy. The service was attentive, with staff checking in on us regularly. We sat on the patio, which was a nice setting--comfortable and relaxed. The atmosphere was more casual than I expected, but that ended up being perfectly fine. I might give the restaurant another try since it's conveniently located nearby.

Food - another day of stuffing ourselves. start with the onion bread. we ate the leftovers the next day and it was still good. but its best fresh! so soft and buttery and salty. i had the steak frites. a good portion, i couldnt finish it in one sitting! the mash & spinach were also good. i would prob order the mash again but not the spinach. even though it has a good crunch on top, it was a little much to have 2 mushy sides. dessert was the choco cake. it looks kind of funky. but its actually good! service - amazing! sat right away. checked in on us multiple times. food came out fast. ambiance - plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. there was even a private room you could prob rent. its in a random plaza, but felt very nice and high end inside.

This was my birthday dinner and I couldn't wait to eat some good steak. I wish we would have made reservations but now we know. We sat outside, which wasn't to bad but the view to the inside looked nice. Our waitress was so nice and knowledgeable. We ordered the break bread which was one of the best breads I've had in a long time. So soft and buttery. The calamari was so well breaded and flavorful. The sauce it came with was delicious. The Caesar salad was not great, too much mayo I think. The flavor was not Caesar. All the steaks were cooked to absolute perfection. The flavors on them were amazing. The A5 Wagyu was different, it had a full and bold flavor. The Zabuton was my steak and I ate it with pure flavorful joy. The ribeye was just as good. The sides were so good too. The mashed potatoe was creamy and delicious. We were fighting for the last bite but it was my birthday so I got it. The Mac and cheese was just as tasty. We didn't finish it but I took it home. The next day I wish I had more of it. I really like it here. I will be back with a reservation.

Adventured here on a Tuesday afternoon for a birthday lunch celebration! Unfortunately I didn't take of picture of the cookies and birthday card they provided for my hubby. It was a special touch! The overall vibe of the place is casual but slightly upscale without feeling stuffy. All the staff and even other customers at the bar were extremely friendly, giving it a neighborhood upbeat feel! The doors were open adding to the happy and airy ambiance. Disappointing elements: 1) no glasses of champagne available. Prosecco is not champagne. 2) their fries are cooked in canola oil. We ended up getting beef tallow fries from eat with love always next door. 3) credit card surcharge 3% What's going to bring us back: 1) corkage fee $30 we will bring our own bottle of champagne next time. 2) Staff... love the conversation with everyone especially Matthew our bartender. 3) Wagyu allllllllll the way! Thank you very much for allowing the tri tip for lunch. We look forward to returning and hopefully updating my review to 5 stars.

The service at this place is 10 out 10. Every single person we interacted with had a smile and was ready to recommend their favorite dish. In this case we are so glad we listened because those pork chops were beyond delicious and the crudo is a plate we will be ordering every time moving forward. The restaurant is beautiful and I will highly recommend to take a place at their bar!

Tried this place based on reviews I've seen. Hubby and I like trying different places. Disappointed overall. We had the bread, the shishito and crudo for starters and those were good but not special. The dirty rice was my fave and we also had the sprouts which was ok too. Unfortunately, the steaks were basic for the price and considering the word butcher on the name of the place...hmmm. Hubby got the ribeye and asked for medium rare and it was medium. It lacked flavor and char. Hate to say but texas roadhouse had more flavor. The quality of the meat me, is grocery level. I had the zabuton and flavor is better, less size and price than the ribeye. Spent $200 and definitely not worth it and sorry, cannot recommend for what we had. Should have tried the burger instead. Oh they gave us Andes mint chocolate but you can tell they melted before and reset. Even that was a sad thing.

This was our first time at this restaurant. We came for steak and were very satisfied. My ribeye was amazing and his zabuton was great too. We decided the mac and cheese was the best we've ever had. I appreciate they had feminine hygiene products available in the woman's restroom. The service was mostly attentive. It did take about 5 min to be offered refreshments by our server. For being a newish spot I was surprised the chairs were so stained. We were in the area behind glass if that makes a difference.

We stopped in for happy hour on a Wednesday. It was a beautiful day so we asked to be seated outside at the bar. We were waited on almost immediately. Our drinks came and we picked the sliders and the cheesesteak eggrolls from the happy hour menu. It wasn't long before the sliders arrived and a couple minutes later the eggrolls. The presentation of each was well done and they were both very flavorful. Enough so I was equally delighted and surprised. It was a nice pick and I would return again from the small sampling I had on this visit.

This place popped up at the right time. Locals are looking for a steakhouse that offer excellent food without the strip prices ($400/500+). This place comes at you like a breath of fresh air. From the warm and friendly greeting (ALWAYS look for a warm greeting) to the clean lines, subdued colors of the restaurant and the helpful smiling staff. These guys are bringing back old fashion Hospitality. Thomas, the Restaurant manager and our Server Thankful ensured we had a great first time experience. We enjoyed the mocktails, cocktails, the bread and 3 appetizers and 3 different styles of steak! All amazing. They had excellent dessert options which we didn't skip. THIS is your next steakhouse to try. So good. Thank you Butcher & Thief.

Came here for my birthday and had such a great experience. I ordered the "I'm Samantha" to drink and loved it. We started with the Break Bread, then had the ribeye, Brussels, and mac and cheese and everything was so good. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and the sides were just as good. We ended with the chocolate pannacotta cake, and since it was my birthday the chef surprised us with chocolate chip cookies which was such a sweet touch. Overall just a really solid meal and I'll definitely be back.

While I didn't end up loving my dishes, I still looking forward to coming back. I got the salmon skin tacos. Very creative, very beautiful, not much flavor. The strongest flavor that came through was the red onion which I'm not a big fan of. For dinner I got the vegan noodles. Good texture, liked the veggies, it was a little spicier than expected and I'm coming to realize I may not love gochujang so much. The sauce was just a little too thick and overpowering. That said, the bao sliders were delicious, the steak tartare was interesting. The pork jowl was very tasty and the short rib looked very good. I did not love the imperial rolls, they had some flavor/spice coming through that I really disliked but others enjoyed them. In addition to the food, the service was great. They took great care of us, and even offered to write happy birthday on the cake we brought in. They did charge a cake cutting fee and cut up our whole cake and served us which was nice. Finally the ambiance was nice. It's not a large space (not too small either). Felt intimate, not a ton of other people. It was a great dining experience and I look forward to going back.

I got prosecco and my partner got Pinot noir from the happy hour and tbh they were delicious. My partner drinks wine more often than me (I hate the dry taste of wine lol) but I wanted to come to try something new. We ordered the Waffle and Caviar, Sausage Roll, Brushetta from the happy hour and the Chef's Tasting board. The Waffle and Caviar was super flavorful! The touch of masago was 10/10 paired with the waffle and cream sauce! Ugh my fav truly. Next we got the Brushetta and my partner loved it. He said the tomatoes were delicious and paired well with the bread and sauce it was marinated with. I did try a bite even though I'm a tomato hater but man you can tell the tomatoes were fresh. I had a piece with no tomatoes because I loved whatever was on top as whatever the tomatoes were marinated in! Next came the Sausage Rolls and man were they delicious paired with their homemade cheese dip! I don't think I'd get again because it's quite heavy with the wine but def glad I tried. Lastly was the Chef's Tasting Board... this was so good. You could tell the cheese and meats were fresh and paired very well all together. The main star for me for that platter was the bread dipped in that garlic butter balsamic + oil... ugh delicious. I can't wait to get the membership and go back.
