The food was okay. The biscuits and gravy were probably the least imaginative I have ever had. It was like flour and milk, and nothing else. But, it was cheap. The burritos was good as well. It has this cute little diner feel. The servers are very nice and were helpful when it came to choosing what to eat. I hadn't heard of a smothered burrito, but it was too enticing not to try it! I was craving eggs so a breakfast burrito sounded like the perfect solution and having it smothered in some delicious sauce and peppers? Yes, please! I got mine with chorizo and my hubby got his with breakfast sausage. We were both pleased. Our stomachs were quite full and we took a homemade cinnamon roll to go. I mean, you see "homemade cinnamon rolls" in bold and italics, it sounds like something you HAVE to try. Fast forward, we had the cinnamon roll two days later. That did not change the fact that when we heated it up and added that butter on top...ooh it was a delight! I am a lover of greasy spoons and I LOVE this greasy spoon more than most! The fantastic homemade sweet roll was the perfect starter to the lightest biscuits I have ever tasted. The white gravy with smoky sausage was very good, but the biscuits were life changing! The endless cup of coffee have me endlessing running to the rest room the rest of the day, but that's on my not my attentive firecracker of a waitress, who never let the bottom of my mug see the light of day. The prices are ridiculously low, especially for the quality and portions provided. I look forward to getting back and continuing to work my way through their menu. read more

This fantastic old school diner has been in the same family for 30 years, but goes back at least 40 years prior. Always a restaurant , the austere diner decor hasn't changed since about 1955. White counters, high ceiling and aquamarine counter stools. A big chalk board with daily specials. Wednesday, announced by the hand written sign , is "BAKED CHICKEN DAY!" But its the enormous breakfasts and giant ""blockbuster burger" that makes this blue collar Globeville business so popular. The burger is hand formed and delicious, unfortunately the boxes announcing pre-cut frozen fires were there for me to see. That's a shame because hand cut fries would take this place over the top! Next time you're zipping along I-70 jump off at Washington and head north a few blocks and seek out this little gem. read more

Me and my husband went to try a new place on our way back home. Our waiter and the hole staff were super freindly. Our food came out fast and hot. The ultimate score when my boyfriend brought me to this diner a few years ago!! The entire menu is delicious and cheap in price. I eat here about once a week and my boyfriend 3 to 4 times a week. The entire staff is friendly, including the cook who goes around to every table if there's a break in his day to make sure you are satisfied and to help clean tables. Now I tell everyone about it. I haven't had much here but to go omelettes but I will say they get it right every time. The food is good. The service is quick and to the point and accurate. What more can you ask for right? I'm always back so that's a given. Came here for Saturday brunch because of the good reviews. She's not much of a looker but it offered everything we wanted in an affordable diner brunch. We started with a cinnamon roll which was underwhelming but then got our entrees. I ordered a one-egg smothered burrito. So good! The green chili really made it and I could taste the crispy bits of hash browns in there. It filled me up and is only $3.75! My husband had a half roundhouse smothered in gravy and it was the perfect amount for him. And to top it off, the staff was super friendly and attentive. Great little place! read more

You must come and eat here! Make sure to bring an appetite. They do offer smaller portions but you won't want them. This food tastes so good you will want to wear your sweat pants. Their cinnamon roll and butter is to die for. I have never had hash browns like my Grandmother used to make. I even forgot what they tasted like. They nailed it. Adrianna was our waitress. She's so friendly, she not only treated us as family, but everyone that walked in. Adrianna is also multi lingual and on many occasions would speak Spanish to any native Spanish speakers. This place is a great stopping point if you are A) out at Buy and Build, Cabinets Now or any place near I-70 and Washington and you want an economical lunch in a friendly atmosphere. I ordered the Veggie Beef soup and grilled chicken sandwich and my husband got the cheeseburger and fries. Yes, the fries are pre-cut and from a bag - but still very delicious. They are known for their Man Burger, a 1/2 pounder that somehow, appears much larger. I would liken it to the size of a frisbee golf frisbee. Good Lord, that's some meat. I love brunch and old school diners which was the vibe this place had. So naturally I was excited to try it. The food was not enjoyable. Didn't seem like they used any seasoning. I was starving so I could usually eat anything but not their food. I ordered half an entree that came with bacon ham sausage eggs on a bed of hash browns. The potatoes weren't seasoned at all. Which I feel ruined the entire entree. I love biscuits and gravy. I get them where ever I go. I order a side of it and it was awful. Once again they didn't season it at all. Couldn't bare to eat it. I finished most of my actual meal after adding salt and pepper. That simple step made it significantly different. I just moved close by but I don't know that I'll ever go back. read more

This place is amazing!! I came in on the Saturday before Christmas and was treated to not only an amazing breakfast but incredible service, like service that doesn't exist this day in age. On top of all that when I went to pay, Janet, my amazing host informed me that my meal was paid for by a gentleman who picked up everyone's tab in the restaurant. Guess he does it every year. They made me feel like a regular the second I walked in and by the end I was sharing pictures of the sky and clouds with Janet we had both taken. Felt like home. Butcher block was unknown to me until my coworkers at denver brought me to this place. It has now become one of my favorite breakfast places. The Round House plate is one of my favorites and its so simple its plating, hash browns, eggs, breakfast sausages, cheese and all piled together and served so hot, you can tell it came right off the griddle. We came here on a recommendation. I have never had such a horrible breakfast burrito and paid so much. Smothered egg, potato, bacon burrito $8.37. Very little green chili, burnt to a crisp bacon and very small burrito for the amount we paid. I can't believe i actually paid that. I should kick myself for doing so. Took it in the shorts. Had the Chicken Fried steak with mash and white gravy, it came with side of green beans, salad and dinner role plus a soft drink for $10.48 total. The gravy/food was a little bland. Just happened to drive by with my son!! We decided to stop last minute!! I love the classic cafe feel. Everyone was so very nice, our waitress was wonderful!
