This particular location is at the corner of Grand and Lafayette street. They have three other location in NYC. We came on a warm (43 degree) cloudy Christmas Eve morning to grab breakfast. There was so much potential here. Prices are affordable especially for this area, but my experience was not great, to my fault. I ordered to go and didn't hear them call my name (I think?) and was waiting for ~20 min for the order to come out. They forgot my croissant so I had to ask for it, and while I was at the counter, the busser took my coffee from my table (my stuff still evidently on it). Luckily they gave me another on the house. The drip coffee is a bit bitter, but almond milk makes it smoother, and the croissant is kind of dense, not as light/fluffy as I'd prefer. It is very crispy though. For my first visit, I tried the Everything Cruffin. True to its name, this soft, flaky hybrid delivered everything I dreamed it would be. It was a great pastry and the everything cream cheese filling made it better. As I was eating, I saw staff prepping pastries at the counter. It seems like pastries are freshly made, in-house, which partially justifies the price tag. My friend and I had the opportunity to visit Butler on a weekend morning for coffee and a pastry. I have not been to this location before and I was surprised how busy it was given that we arrived fairly early in the morning. Regardless, we were able to find seats at one of the high countertops and place our order through the QR code. We both ended up just getting iced coffee and I got a croissant as well.
