We stopped at Butte Bagel after our morning hike. We got there a little before 10 am and they had a massive line. We decided to wait because we heard so many great things. It was definitely worth the wait. The sandwiches were large and super filling. A lot of the specialty bagels were out by the time we got there but they still had poppy, sesame, everything, and plain. Loved the vibe of the place too. One thing I noticed was that you could call in a pick up order which seemed to be a pro move. Also they did had regular coffee, but nothing special. read more

Took some friends here for the first time - as usual, it was a long line. By the time we ordered (9:30 and they open at 7:30), a lot of the speciality flavored bagels were sold out. I ended up getting the last pretzel cheddar! I tried something new - got the Hippie and added bacon. I liked the pesto and avocado, but wasn't impressed that much with the bagel itself, and the bagels weren't that warm anymore by the time they called our name. The man who answered my call was friendly, peppy, and brightened my morning. We kept it simple and got to East Coasters -- basically a bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwich. I selected an everything bagel and fiancé got his on a jalapeño cheddar. Also got my dad an everything bagel with cream cheese. I didn't look super closely, but they had a couple drinks in a cooler by the cashier if you're thirsty. Not sure if you can get coffee/tea. The bagel sandwiches were very large and overall quite tasty. In an ~ideal~ world I'd have had maybe slightly more filling, but the eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly and the bacon was very smoky and flavorful. Fiancé enjoyed his almost as much as mine, though he mentioned hoping for more jalapeños in his jalapeño cheddar bagel. Butte Bagels in Crested Butte, Colorado, deserves a full 5 stars, unfortunately i only got to go once on my trip! I had a plain bagel with egg, salmon, onion, and cream cheese, and it was absolutely delicious. I was babysitting a little kid on my trip, and the staff was fantastic with him--they made him laugh and really engaged with him. The workers are all super chill, granola, and all dudes, which adds to the cool vibe of the place. There were lots of hikers around, adding to the lively atmosphere. The bagels are quite expensive, but they are totally worth it. Highly recommend this spot and when i'm back i will go again read more

I wouldn't say it's worth the hype but I think it's the only place in butte that is a bagel place, which is why It's well known. Either way, it was yummy! I ordered the hippie bagel w/ an everything bagel. Would've been better with some Cholula or hot sauce, add some zest would've been the cherry on top. The downside is the line is massive, they take awhile and they do not accept Apple Pay. Extremely cute place...love the vibe and the guys who work there are very friendly. My boyfriend and I stopped in this morning for a few bagels and coffee. The veggie cream cheese is excellent, it even has sweet corn in it! I got an onion bagel with the veggie cream cheese and my boyfriend got a plain bagel with plain cream cheese.
