    French toast bites

We ate at the bar, the service was excellent and food was great. Great place to bring your family.

Good find for a weekday brunch. Such a cute vibe from the outside and inside. It's definitely living up to the farmhouse, rustic theme. We sat at the large family style table and it was wonderful. There was a good crowd for a Thursday morning, I can imagine it gets fairly crowded during the weekends. They had a good selection of specials and the menu has something for everyone. I tried the special cookie butter latte. It packed a good cookie butter flavor, even rimmed with cookie butter. For food, I got the egg in a hole, which came with 2 sides. All of it was tasty and also had a nice presentation. The pancakes and French toast looked to be delicious as well. The prices are really reasonable. Most, if not all, dishes came with a side. This seems rare to find these days without it costing extra. It's a spot worth checking out.

The servers are always the part of the dining experience because they are super friendly and nice/patient. This is my third time here. The French toast was delicious. Seasonal mint chocolate coffee was delicious ($7) which I wished I could have refills of!

Visited here for a family brunch - cute place and lively, packed atmosphere on a Sunday. The Gump Benedict was delicious. Iced coffee was OK - and others seemed to enjoy the Bloody Mary. Seemed silly though that they wouldn't seat us (7 out of 9 of us were present) while the other two were parking - especially when the empty reserved table was just waiting for us and we were taking up a bunch of space in the already extremely crowded waiting space.

Great family spot! Visited Buttermilk's Pancake House on March 20th with my kids and nephews and we had a great experience. The food was fresh, portions were generous, and the kids loved the menu. Josiah had the PB&J with fruit, Aaliyah had grilled cheese with fries (9/10), Maddox and Henry both gave their meals a 10/10, and Brooks enjoyed his short stack though it was a bit dry. We also ordered extra fries for the table and everyone enjoyed them. My French toast was delicious -- so good my son ate half and rated it a 10/10. Kids loved their Shirley Temples and chocolate milk. My mint mimosa was refreshing and delicious. Our waiter Juan was excellent -- very attentive and friendly. Overall, a great kid‑friendly place. We'll definitely be back.

Came to this establishment while I was attending a family wake service. Very nice and clean place. Great service as well. I had the Hercules Omlette. The omelette was very fresh and fluffy and long with the vegetables and the feta cheese that was in it. The hash browns were very delicious as well and had a unique taste to it. I think they might have added some seasoning to it like old bay. The wheat toast was on point as well. The orange juice very fresh for it was freshly squeezed. Loved it. Highly recommend this place if you are out far in Long Island in Suffolk county.

I came here on a Sunday morning for early breakfast with ample seating, though it does fill up very quickly! The menu is extensive with sweet and savory options. I went with an omelette and hash browns, which came with a large portion size. The buttermilk biscuit was warm and delicious, which is huge because I don't particularly like biscuits. The service was also excellent! I would definitely come back with friends!

Absolutely amazing brunch spot. I got the s'mores French toast and my friend got the cannoli French toast. So filling but so good. Love the creativity in their menu. Service was quick and attentive. It was a little cold today but it looks like the front windows open up to create sidewalk seating on warm days

Classic diner. Great staff. Big on food. Can't ask for anything more. Even on a weekday post 10am, the place is packed, and I can see why. There's a bit of option anxiety with the menu that it took a while for us to order, wanting everything. Ordered pancakes with blueberries and walnuts, side sausage. One of the best pancakes I've had. Also ordered pulled pork grilled cheese, honestly expecting a cheese melt. But this was a full on pulled pork sandwich. Maybe something we should've asked about. Can't say for the other grilled cheese sandwiches if they are like this. Also not sure if we're disappointed or pleasantly surprised as we were craving a grilled cheese. If we stop by again, this may be one of the first stops again tho. Pancakes are too good to pass up

Nice place busy but we didn't wait.. fast service.. good food and a lot of variety in the menu.. perfect brunch ambiance and will definitely come back

Such a great place for brunch! Where do I begin?! Pros: text message system when your table is ready, super easy and you can walk around the area in the meantime. non pork breakfast meat options- turkey bacon which is a huge win for me! Generous portions, my hubby and I shared the apple pie pancakes and southwest burrito and we still brought home a doggy bag! No cons, really just a long wait if you go prime brunch time. They have a great text back option when your table is ready so you can walk around town while you're waiting. I'll definitely be back here!!

This is the best brunch place in Patchogue HANDS DOWN. you are not gonna get a better bang for your buck here. I mean look at this Belgian waffle! Service is fast, kind and all around just great. It gets very crowded on the weekends for brunch and it is pretty loud. But seriously if you're torn between Buttermilks or Toast, GO HERE!

Food never disappoints. Definitely best pancakes around! A little noisy due to lack of sound absorbers and service is usually very good.

Ask the Community - Buttermilk's Farmhouse

Hi was wondering if you take reservations on Sunday for a party of 21? Thanks

You would have to call up Buttermilk's directly. It's not a very big place so I don't know if taking up so much space for 1 party would be something they're likely to do especially on a busy Sunday morning when it would be so crowded and busy.

Can you call ahead or make reservations?

After ordering few beers and appetizers we were constantly asked by our server whether we ready to place another order it was almost borderline harassment to place additional orders. When we did receive the main dishes I was very disappointed in the quality. The chicken panini resembled a chicken burger patty that was both cold and tasteless. Even the cures were cold and slightly soggy. The burgers were slightly better luke warm but cooked and prepared to my guests request. The beers and music made up for a disappointing lunch/dinner. Restaurant featured a full bar along with outside seating overlooking the local marina. Tiki Bar appears to be a local favorite based on the number of customers who were acknowledged by name by the staff and like I said maybe it was an off day for the staff but I'll think I'll stick to the drinks next visit.

I love this place the vibe is everything, a Caribbean island vibe when you want to feel off the island. I had some family driving in come Nassau/queens and this was the first place I thought of. Eat strategically though bc it will start to fall apart. My aunt got some shrimp tacos and potatoes (aka papas bravas) with a sweet drizzle on them. After dinner, I approached the gentleman collecting the entrance fee to ask what time the fee begins and whether it applies to guests and families who are coming specifically for dinner. He informed me that there is no set time for collecting the fee and that it is entirely at his discretion. I respectfully asked him to clarify how that policy is determined, but he refused to provide an explanation. When I asked for his name, he responded that he "doesn't have one" and immediately ignored me, turning his attention to the next customer approaching the entrance. I found this interaction to be extremely unprofessional and discourteous. My concern is less about the entrance fee itself and more about the lack of transparency and the dismissive manner in which my questions were handled. Customers should be treated with respect when asking reasonable questions about a business's policies. Since he refused to identify himself, I have attached a photo of the individual. Because of this experience, I intend to share my concerns with management. Unfortunately, this interaction has left a very negative impression, and I do not plan on returning.

I've been to Main Street Patchogue a few times before and I'm always amazed at how it's now like Huntington, with tons of eateries, bars and places to hear live music. It was a busy late Spring Friday night and my cousin told me if we were there just two weeks later (ie, post Memorial Day), there would have been lines to get in anywhere. So make resos! I made one easily earlier that day and when we arrived around 7:30, it was not packed, but it is pretty loud in there even half full. Our waiter, Jonathan, expertly took such great care of us from start to finish, even taking my father's dad jokes in stride. There's a solid cocktail menu, but I had a couple glasses of a better-than-decent prosecco. My cousin loved his espresso martini. For food, count on a couple respectable vegan entrees and I went with the Japanese eggplant with cashew ricotta. The eggplant is delicious, slightly sweet with a creamy rather than chewy (thank god) texture. The cashew ricotta is also tasty, but I do think it needed to be blended a bit more to remove the slightly grainy texture (the cashews might have needed more soaking). My father loved his French onion soup and pastrami sandwich. Separate paragraph for the fries. They deserve it. I'm glad we ordered these to share- it's an enormous platter of them. I appreciated that they were salted perfectly. I appreciate restaurants that can make satisfy a variety of preferences and dietary restrictions. The vibe here is festive and vibrant and a great choice for groups and families.
