I've been here a few times now and each time I've left saying I won't be back. After this time I told my boyfriend to remind me not to go back. The service is good, but the food is not. This time I ordered the Butters Bennys, poached eggs on a croissant with hollandaise sauce and home fries. I remembered when they brought my plate that I didn't like the home fries last time because they just don't taste good at all. They look and taste like they were made the night before and reheated during the day. That wasn't the worst thing out of this meal, though. The hollandaise sauce was spicy! Hollandaise sauce is only supposed to have a pinch of cayenne pretty much for color. You should not taste the cayenne in hollandaise sauce! Now they did offer to change my meal, but I declined. However, I was not able to eat it. I tried to, but it was just too spicy. You would think that they would remove it from the bill since I only had a few bites, but they did not. My boyfriend did enjoy his French toast and scrambled eggs. So between the good service and my boyfriend enjoying his meal, I give them 2 stars. read more

We've given this place a try twice since we had a gift card. First time it took so long to seat us and once we got seated it no one ever came to take our order or greet us. So we walked out. This second time the wait was about 30 min to get a table when they weren't busy and were empty tables. Once we got seated it was another 30 min until they took our order. The food was horrible! It was cold and flavorless. The chilaquiles were so soggy and cold. The pancakes and eggs were so cold. The cups were dirty. Definitely don't recommend them at all!!! He stood at the bar and chatted with his coworkers while we waited 20 minutes for our check. I've been here a few times and today was likely the last sadly. I got the Benny's Benedict and discovered I was chewing egg shells within my first few bites. I decided to work around it and continue eating to avoid wasting it. I proceeded to find a hair which was cooked into my other egg. We let our server know and she just said "Ok...?" and said the hair could be anyone's. I found this interesting as a server. Anytime someone finds a hair, our restaurant tends to comp the entire meal or offer to get a new one made. She ended up taking off $7.00 specifically for the egg shells since they "don't do anything for hair." I would not recommend this place. Even though they are advertising "new location and remodeled", this place was disgusting! I should have walked out as the dining room was so dirty, I began to wonder what the kitchen/prep area might look like. The wait staff never bothered to pick up and discard a napkin that was used to clean our table even though they visited the table 4 times (once to take the order, deliver the food, once to refill coffee after having to ask, and lastly to bring the check). The floor around and under the table, as well as what I observed while leaving, including the host station was just as bad, if not worse, than what can be seen in the pictures attached. Had I noticed how dirty the dining room was before being seated, I would have left. The service from the time I entered to the time I left was poor. I was in a party of two and was told it would be a 10-15 minute wait. After waiting 20+ minutes and having observed that two parties of 3 individuals each were seated before us, I inquired about our placement on the list. I was told that they had to wait until a table for 2 was available as they could not seat a party of 2 at a larger table. I am in my 60's and this is the first time I have ever heard of such a policy. Once I was seated, had requested that our party of 2 be seated in the next available location regardless of table size, the waitstaff only stayed long enough to take the order and return with the bill. The busser brought out the food and upon request refilled the coffee. Until management changes and/or the owners demand that their employees are trained appropriately, I will not recommend or return to this restaurant. read more

Tried to make a reservation but I wasn't able to so my party of 7 walked in and put our name on the wait list. We were seated in the time the hostess told us and had a server at our table immediately. Let me tell you, the food was AAAAMMMAAZZEEE-ING! Eggs cooked perfectly medium like I ordered, omelets were large and tasty. The French toast was mouth watering and I would definitely drive 2 hours to eat at Butters again. I have had breakfast here in person s few times now, and it is always delicious. The coffee is hot and delicious, and if you're brave enough for the mimosa tower, it's a statement piece (and they let us take the leftovers home, though we were prepared to camp out for a while to finish...). They can get busy on weekends so either show up early, make a reservation, or expect a wait. The service isn't speedy, but genuine people with kind personalities are working with probably never enough staff. I would not take a hungry toddler here without a snack or something on hand. That said, everything we've had has been delicious. Pancakes, waffles, Benedicts, omelettes, scrambles, biscuits & gravy, green chili... all winners for us overall. Placed an order for pickup. Called the store to confirm the time and they assured us they would confirm as soon as order was done. Nearly hour later order not confirmed. Go in store and it has clearly been ready for some time. Food was cold and they never confirmed the order. We confirmed and refunded. It's a shame, their food is good but increasingly their service has gotten worse. This is the third time in a row we have gotten food from them and it has been cold or barely warm. I recently ate here while on vacation in Colorado. They didn't have a negative star or I would have posted that. The salmon patty was undefinable, eggs hard cooked, hash browns extremely greasy. Who orders salmon patties on Eggs Benedict? What you see is what I could not finish, it was so bad. Oh, the spinach was edible! I should have known better! Since my first review a year ago, they've revamped their menu so it's not so overpriced, and items are no longer a la carte. i was able to order two butter pancakes for $6.99, and they came with two eggs and hash browns - so I had sides plus better pricing than a year ago. That's a very nice improvement and I will likely come back here more often - the sticker shock from the first visit had kept me away for so long.... About the food - good! Eggs and hash browns were nice and had a very light tangy, smoky flavor from their grill. I really liked it. The pancakes are good -- very, very rich. I could only eat one. Service was very friendly and very good. Short note about my ratings for other Yelpers: * 3-starts means "A-OK". That means - in accordance with Yelp - I like this place and will come back and dine again, expecting a good experience. ** Just because I like a place and favor it does NOT mean I throw five stars down. I will start by saying I enjoy eating at Butters. Today the food was delicious as well, the reason for the review is the experience. Our waitress was polite and took our orders. The issue was the service after the food was received, waited over 20 minutes after we were done eating and at that point was running late back to work from lunch, had to go to the counter to get the check. I've been a customer of Butters for a few years, now. I have to say that it's going downhill, lately. Their food is great, when it's hot. I don't know if it's the owners trying to save money and not staff enough people to adequately run the restaurant on a weekend, or if it's the younger generation not showing up to work, but they were WAYYY understaffed. And to charge $4 for a cup of coffee (this is Greeley, not Aspen), I'm going to assume it's the owners trying to get more money. I had to, practically, beg my waiter for refills of coffee. To sum up, It's a good place when they aren't busy. Try on a weekday morning. And get plenty of coffee to justify the price. I won't be back till they adjust their prices. read more

Showed up on a Saturday morning around 8:15am. Place was about 1/3 full. We were greeted with less than friendly hostess who directed us to a seat. We then sat there for more than 20 minutes without an acknowledgement from any sort of wait staff for as much as a drink order or a "I"m swamped and the only waitress working" so we left and went somewhere else. On our way out we were greeted with a monotone "have a good day" with little concern as to why we left. I ordered biscuits and gravy with hash browns and two over easy eggs. The biscuits were hard and old, gravy was for sure old and thrown in the microwave along with the soggy hash browns. Gravy was also discolored from sitting out so long. Now for the eggs which were the only thing made fresh on my plate. They weren't bad until I cut into my second egg and it shot out water at me. I have visited this restaurant twice. Both times the food took a very long time to prepare, over 45 minutes after ordering. The service was also terrible. Not only does the food take a long time to prepare but the staff also won't stop by to check with you and see how things are going or if you are in need of anything. I think the staff avoids you because they try and avoid complaints. Unfortunately if you you can't handle bad experiences upfront, you usually end up with a bad review online. Simple things like getting silverware, clean cups, or even just getting the check took 10 times longer than it should have. We didn't come in when it was even busy, but we were there for 2 hours. My friend's request for silverware wasn't even ever fullfilled and we had to go ask for it. You're food will be fine, but dont expect decent service. Go to IHop instead. read more
