I saw the pecan waffle in the menu and got a bit of nostalgia for the ones I used to get at the old awful waffle.

Bring a jacket or blanket depending on the time of the year but even if it is brisk it will be worth it. The space is cozy just like the mountains. The staff here try to make it happen. At other places a group can be daunting but here they try to make your group happen. It is busy but people are constantly getting up and coming in. Alex was our server and he made sure we were well taken care of. He suggested items, checked in often, made sure things came out in a timely fashion and even showed us photos. The food is so yummy. They have plenty of hot beverages from coffee to decaf to tea to hot apple cider to warm you up. Everyone enjoyed their food, the drinks and the view. We will definitely be back. Don't hesitate

We had a little bit of a wait upon arrival--nothing too long, so that was great. The only real issue we had was that there was no pricing for the brunch drinks. I don't think it's unfair to know the price of something before you purchase it, so I really dislike it when businesses choose to purposely exclude pricing. So, I simply asked the server how much a mimosa was, and she completely freaked out and started talking about other things, not answering my question, and said it was her first day. Ok, no problem, but still, how much is a mimosa? I mean, I'm not sure what that has to do with your first day; just say you'll go check, look in the computer, or ask a teammate and come back to me. Instead, she left and brought another server over with her, and he acted like he had no idea why he was there and said something about what I needed, and again, I repeated, I was just asking how much a mimosa was. He told me, and we could finally move on. What an ordeal for such a simple ask. If it was $15 - $20 for a little flute, I wasn't going to get one. It turned out the basic one was $9, so I was fine with that. I also thought it was very strange they served the oatmeal plain without asking if someone wanted sugar or honey -- how many people really eat oatmeal completely plain? Anyway, nothing to cause avoiding the place, or anything. Just another breakfast joint, in my opinion.

It was that good the first time that we decided to come back and do it all over again the next day. Parking is somewhat limited, but we arrived early on weekday mornings and had no trouble finding a spot. The restaurant is charming from the outside, with a colorful "Greetings from Estes Park" old postcard mural that makes for a great photo opportunity. Inside, the atmosphere is modern yet cozy, and both days we were lucky enough to snag a window booth. Our first experience set the tone right away. We walked in just as a server was arriving for her shift. Noticing nobody was at the host stand, she seated us before even putting away her personal belongings. That's customer service. For breakfast, I ordered a special that I can't seem to find on the menu now--an Eggs Benedict with pulled pork. I debated swapping the greens for potatoes but decided to be healthy. To my surprise, the dish was served on crispy potato pancakes instead of an English muffin, which meant I got the best of both worlds. The combination was fantastic, and honestly, I think Eggs Benedict works even better on potato pancakes than on bread. Every bite was packed with flavor. The next morning, I made myself try something different, even though I was tempted to order the same thing again. I chose the Cambridge Skillet: smoked ham and bacon with jack and cheddar cheeses over seasoned ranch potatoes, topped with two over-easy eggs and creamy hollandaise. It was delicious and hearty, although my first day's breakfast still edged it out as my favorite. I also sampled my friend's whole wheat blueberry pancake. It was enormous and surprisingly flavorful. I especially appreciated that many of their sweeter breakfast options come with eggs and a choice of bacon or sausage. It's a nice balance and makes for a more satisfying meal. The food, service, and atmosphere were consistently excellent on both visits. The Egg of Estes quickly became one of our favorite breakfast spots in Estes Park, and it's definitely somewhere we'll return on future trips.

My daughter enjoyed her Vive La France French Toast as well. Our waitress was very friendly and had good timing - there were no long waits for her to reappear, as sometimes happens elsewhere. There was a little snafu - if I hadn't been paying attention, I'd have paid someone else's bill, almost 4X ours - but clearly it was an honest mistake and it's no harm, no foul. But this place was open, offered gluten-free and non pork options for meat so we stopped in. It was not busy we were the only patrons at first and the food came out quickly due to this. The staff was AMAZING! The person that sat us was super friendly, our server was amazing and friendly, and even the cook all went out if the way for us. I actually used the online ordering system to understand how and what I could order. Mynhubby got a side of hashbrowns and a side of "turkey sausage " which is turkey sausage with green chillies. He lived this sausage but had a but of heat. The side if 2 patties is $4.75. I got an omelet with sliced turkey (deli turkey) and pesto. Gluten-free toast (which was a slice of seeded GF) and I got the hasbrowns lightly done (which is soft). I cannot have dairy so there was no cheese in my omelet but when I told the server the cook and him were worried with the butter and the cook wanted me to make sure the hashbrowns would be ok giving me a sample. Way above and beyond IMO. The omelet was so yummy. We also got latte which we enjoyed and happy since the coffee shops in the area were not open. We would go back here and try lunch if we were in the area.
