Delicious coffee and baked goods. We tried it based on a friend's recommendation and we weren't disappointed. Fun atmosphere inside, with original artwork and fresh baked goods. We tried the lemon poppyseed muffin which was good, and a breakfast burrito. Also had a mango smoothie, and a monkey mocha mug slide. Delicious. Great locally owned/operated coffee shop. You absolutely must try the banana bread - thick slices of moist yummy goodness packed with giant walnut chunks. All the goodies and burritos are made in house - you can't ask for better! They also feature local artists on a rotation so there is always something new to see. Definitely worth a trip. read more

Came here wanting to see what the Blue Mug was like. This location on the west side of Greeley has a nice parking lot off of the road. There is a bunch of outside seating. The inside is nice, and has a few extra areas that are more quiet to sit if you want to do some homework or have a personal sit down with some friends. The inside is decently new and nice looking and there is a few small menus behind the counter with different coffees and shakes. I ordered the "bee hive" latte with almond milk. I asked if they had any gluten and lactose free items and found out that there are only potato chips and some instant oatmeal that I could have. There were some cookies, muffins, and pound cake on the countertop, which all contained either lactose or gluten. What did I like? The facility seems like a cozy place to sit down, the girl serving my coffee seemed nice, and the latte was decent. But something felt missing. I felt like the coffee menu was so small and there were different menus scattered all over the place. One on the wall, a smaller one next to it, another paper menu with flavors next to the area you order, and another menu with the different teas on the outside of the counter. I didn't see some of the menus until after I ordered. There should be a big menu loaded with everything on the main wall behind the counter, which would be easier to read. The lay-out of the writing also seemed a bit difficult to understand. For example: I am still wondering what types of coffee they have, even after reading the menu. It just says "house roasted coffee." Is there anything else than that one type of coffee?.... They also serve sandwiches, but you wouldn't of known unless you look at the piece of paper wedged on the wall with the different types of sandwiches typed in a small font. Again, put everything on one menu and put the title above each section. For example: A title that says "Coffee" and under it list the different types of coffee and what regions they are from. Then, a title that says "To Eat" and under it list the different sandwiches and breakfast items. Also, it's important to get some more lactose and gluten free items. Maybe a gluten and lactose free muffin, gluten free pound cake, or a bag of gluten and lactose free cheese filled pretzel bites, for example. I could keep going on. For reasons like this I just didn't feel a lot of passion standing out at me when I was standing at the counter. Though, the good news, I do think this place has potential. It's a nice facility, in a nice area, with nice branding. So, hopefully you'd take my opinions into consideration in the future. I do suggest that you try this place, but take into account some of the things that I mentioned above. See the attached pictures. read more

On a Sunday afternoon, the blue mug was blissfully empty. One larger group in the corner and a couple of individuals. Very peaceful place if you were looking for a spot to do homework or some work related items or perhaps just browse around randomly on the Internet. They always have wonderful barista's here and they make decent coffee, so I often wish they had a different brewing provider. I could wish that the coffee were a little richer a little darker Roast. Blue Mug never disappoints. Friendly service, yummy beverages. Our dogs love to go through the drive through so they can say hi to the baristas! We typically stop on the weekend and have never had trouble with it being too crowded. If you're hungry, they've got several options to suit your tastes and if you're not sure, just ask - they'll offer you up some fantastic suggestions. Decent little coffee shop just off AIMS Community College. Standard small coffee house selections, with the addition of a small breakfast menu. I had the bacon breakfast burrito, based on the recommendation of the batista when I asked for "the best breakfast item on the menu." She oversold it just a little, but it was decent nonetheless. My hot chocolate, while nothing to write home about, was well made and decently priced. Clean dining area, with comfortable chairs and granite-top tables. They have two meeting rooms, that look like they can be reserved in advance. Gorgeous bathrooms. Small 3-table patio. Appears to have a drive-thru, but I did not observe anyone use it. Friendly, efficient, baristas. I was originally directed to this location looking for The Buzz Coffee Shop. Turns out the Blue Mug, a local coffee powerhouse bought out The Buzz in November 2014, and this is their third location. They seem to be doing quite well. Very cute coffee shop. I came for lunch and ended up getting a breakfast burrito, just because I don't like that my only options for sandwiches were on bagels (I know some people love them though). The burrito was made in the morning apparently, and reheated so it wasn't fresh. The consistency was mush. I couldn't taste the bacon flavor at all and couldn't identify anything in the burrito. Maybe they are good at breakfast, but skip it for lunch. Also, the lady working behind the counter was alone, so I can't say that I had very good service since she was doing drive through and taking/filling orders of 2 other people. That said, I didn't think it was too busy for poor service and mediocre drink/food. Summary- Have more people working. Tell customers that the burritos were made in the a.m. and are not fresh. Iced tea should be iced, not still so warm that it melts the ice and I have watered down tea that isn't good, especially for the cost. I'll pass on this place. I work in the complex and every single time I go here to get coffee or a snack the place is so busy with at least a 10 min line and ONE employee struggling to work. Feeling bad for the one employee I only order brew coffee just to make things easier and the coffee is either empty or cold. Management needs to get more help and take better care of their employees. This is unfair to them to work this hard and unfair for the customers to have to wait so long to order and to get their order and to not get friendly service which I completely understand given the work environment they are put in. The place is always messy with no clean tables, trash is full because the one employee can't get anything else done. I've never seen management there nor is there ever more then one person working. read more

I frequent the 59th St location the most, but the one near King Soopers on 35th is pretty nice too. Not only do the owners have a knack for hiring the best employees, they are super involved in the community! Just attended an event where they had donated a bunch of coffee. The store itself is nice. Great coffee and super friendly staff. I go there nearly almost everyday and enjoy chatting with the staff, and even the owners when they are there, while my drink is being made.
