Fiancé and I had a date night at this wonderful restaurant! There was a wait, but we were able to go to the stores near the restaurant to pass time. We started with the Onion Ring appetizer that came with a parmesan sauce and it was absolutely delicious! The onion ring batter was well seasoned and it did not fall apart easily. When you bite into each ring, the onion did not come out of the breading which is a huge plus! I had the meatloaf and fiancé had the Grilled Turkey O'Keefe style sandwich. The meatloaf was phenomenal and out of this world. It was probably the best meatloaf I have ever had and the mash potatoes that came with it was smooth and well prepared. Cannot wait to go back. Food was done to perfection and the waitstaff is even better. Finally have a flawless meal at last. No wait on a busy Saturday ( they were packed and found us a table pronto) ticket times were short, food was hot and done perfectly. Our waitress was a superstar. Found ourselves at Peddlers Village browsing through the store getting hungry. Luckily there were restaurants with good reviews making the decision tough as to where to go and we picked Buttonwood Grill. Was looking for a place for a cold beer to go with lunch and they had a decent selection on hand. What really won me over was the fact they had Coastal Evacuation? A double IPA, from Cape May Brewery in Tap. Definitely one of my favorite Brereries and beers so my meal started off on a really high note. The menu had a decent selection to chose from and we ended up ordering a burger a d the pulled pork sandwich. I will say I saw hot sliced cherry peppers on a different burger and requested them on my plain burger. All to often, these simple request are often dismissed. However my request was easily accommodated and a great compliment to my burger. Beer was cold, service was great, and the food was tasty. A great meal all around. We were able to be seated as soon as we entered, and our drinks were served and food came out in a reasonable time and we were back to shopping in no time. We decided to come back for a third time with family and while I appreciate them being open and all during covid, today must have been an off day for them. For drinks we ordered the orange Creamsicle & peeping it real. The peeping it real tasted like juice, tasty with a cute peep decoration. The orange Creamsicle was pretty standard. It was ok. Our guests had water and beer. The mystery kids had apple juice and chocolate milk. Ordered the salt & pepper calamari again and it wasn't crisp, it lacked flavor. No pepper or salt at all. Just bland and not fried enough to achieve the crispy effect. So a thumbs down on that one. Our guests ordered the shredded chicken quesadilla which they said lacked flavor. Very sad to hear this. They also ordered burgers and they liked them so that was a good thing because that was what we came for anyways! Mystery man got his usual Mediterranean burger and he enjoyed it. Mystery kids had the pasta with butter & parm with a fruit cup, as well as the chicken fingers with French fries. Much of the fruit was inedible. Everything else was pretty standard. This restaurant was fine during a busy season, I wouldn't rush back, but it was just what we needed during a day of holiday festivities in the Village! The three stars is because the food was average. It's priced as you'd expect for a burger and pizza. The calamari appetizer was on the small side. They have an average size menu, and meatloaf is featured which I found odd, as it's not a diner, a Perkins or somewhere trendy and Ironic. They use a "proprietary blend" meat for their burgers, but it's not locally sourced or sourced from anywhere mentionable- if you care about that kind of thing... Both of the burgers were cold the cheese on the blue cheeseburger, which was one of them was not even melted, and the other one was like a hockey puck Both were supposed to be medium. First of all, the Buttonwood had an awesome atmosphere. I felt like I was back in Ireland. As for the service, my group of 5 was seated in less than 10 minutes on a Saturday evening, which was fantastic. I throughly enjoyed the Pastrami sandwich and loved the side of coleslaw. The pastrami was tender, smoky, and not overly-greasy. The pretzel bun was outstanding and the mustard added a subtle kick. The coleslaw had a delectable crunch and wasn't drowned out with liquid. Since my first experience here at the Buttonwood was so pleasant, my friends and I decided to return to have dinner again. I didn't know exactly what to expect because of covid. They just recently opened up their inside dining. Upon entering I noticed there was no seating at the bar. That's where I sat the last time I came for dinner. I didn't have a reservation, but the hostess said it wouldn't be a problem seating us because it was a Sunday and later in the day. I had the choice of either sitting outside with an hour wait, or inside being seated immediately . I chose inside because there was only one other family in the main dining room , They were more than 10 feet from us, and across the room. Outside was packed and I didn't want to wait an hour.. This restaurant has two levels, from where we were sitting on the main level, I could see that their were some people eating below us. All the tables are wiped off between customers and I noticed there wasn't any salt and pepper shakers, or condiments on the tables. I along with my friends were handed paper menus, which I later witnessed were crumbled up and thrown out after each viewing. Another level of protection. I started with a peach sangria. It came in a mason jar, and it was delicious and made well. My friends ordered wine and beer. I was lucky enough to have two waitresses. Samantha and I forget the other waitresses name. Both ladies were very attentive and friendly, and working together as a team. The service was excellent. I started with their Fire and Ice Chicken Wings. These wings were delicious and not too spicy. The blue cheese dipping sauce was a nice accompaniment. For my entree I chose their Baby Back Ribs served with fries-The ribs were rubbed & smoked with a Guinness BBQ glaze, and it was served with a, horseradish slaw, and natural cut french fries. The ribs were really good and they fell off the bone. The horseradish slaw was tangy and paired well with the ribs. I couldn't stop eating the natural cut fresh fries.One of my friends ordered the exact same thing, and throughly enjoyed his meal. My other friend ordered their Butcher Style Meatloaf -The Butcher's Grind house made Italian sausage, Buttermilk mashed potatoes, Spinach, and Roasted garlic and herb gravy. This meatloaf was fantastic. It had so much flavor. They give you two pieces of meatloaf on top of buttermilk mashed potatoes and a side of sautéed spinach. Next time I go I am definitely ordering this dish and I highly recommend it. I didn't order any dessert because I was full from my meal. We were in peddler's village and looking for a place to eat dinner. It was a week night and we were able to get a table here right away. The restaurant is nice and big with a cozy atmosphere. The menu isn't very big but had the typical restaurant offerings: burgers, salads etc. I had the snowflake martini which was awesome and tasted like a dessert. For dinner, I had the Baja fish tacos. They were really good. My mom had the salmon salad and she didn't really care for it. My husband had the pastrami and he thought it was good but not great. Had reservations for 12:00. Were asked to leave after 1 1/2 hours. I get it, holiday season, but as we waited 15 more minutes for the bill, we received dirty looks from the main hostess or manager, whoever she was, carrying around her tablet. We come here from time to time when my wife wants to visit peddlers. This restaurant is quite large and usually will always have space. The burgers are really great, love their creative drinks too. The wait time was about 45 minutes, and they take your phone number and text you when the table is ready, which is good, so you aren't wasting time sitting around. I saw that on opentable this place had a rating of 4.6, but didn't check the yelp reviews and wish I had, as yelp has it rated lower, which is more accurate. The menu was limited, but prices weren't bad. We ended up getting the fish tacos and the Thai cob salads. The taco dish, you get two tacos which do not have that much fish in them and a small amount of fires. If you're going to be cheap with the fish, then add a third taco to the dish or more fries, so people don't leave hungry. The Thai cob salad came with a good amount of veggies because they are cheap, but the chicken was thin and could've been a better portion size. We also got a winter sangria and an apple cider mimosa, which weren't bad. The service was good, but the place looked like it could've used a better cleaning. Fantastic! The wait staff was friendly and attentive, servers other than our own stopped in to check on us, and they were pretty fast. The soup was good but a bit overpriced. The spinach artichoke dip was heavier on the veggies and lighter on the cheese, which was a big plus for us. The chips were fresh and very crispy! They were dusted in Old Bay or some equivalent and it went well with the food. The burger was nice, just a tad dry, and I wasn't the biggest fan of the bun, but the seasonings were totes on point! My favorite place to go when at Peddlers village. It was one of those incredibly hot days this summer so we opted for lunch inside instead of the outside deck. The service was attentive as this was a weekday afternoon so not a super busy time. After getting an ice cold beer, We ordered an appetizer of burrata and tomato. Hugely generous portion and delicious with fresh cheese and a few garlic cloves for taste. We also split the onion and bacon burger. Cooked perfectly and the horseradish was a tasty addition. Oh, almost forgot, the onion rings were really good too. You'll never go wrong with a burger here. The menu is extensive - salads, pizza, sandwiches, full entrees. We have eaten here four times. Twice we sat outside on the patio and twice inside the restaurant. The restaurant is located within peddlers village which is a unique brick paved shopping area with fun shops to browse and a few restaurants to dine. This is a restaurant that has a nice menu with both indoor and outdoor seating. We have had the crabby 3 cheese spinach dip with artichokes and chips (10.50) its yummy! They also have hamburgers which are good (12-15.00) In addition we have vegetarian shepherd's pie which is very good!! (17.50) it has mushrooms, quinoa and potato crust. I think the price is too high but it is unique and hearty and can be shared. The negatives I have experienced includes crazy bees while dining outside on the patio. There was no place to sit other than inside on this day and outdoor diners with allergies were nervous. During the winter there is a draft every time the door opens and you can feel a wave of cold air through the dining area. I don't know why either of the above issues are not resolved. The food is good and the location invites a fun day out! I recommend!! I do encourage the owners to watch the prices! They are getting high. read more

Well, this was my first time visiting, peddlers village. Then I saw this cute, quaint restaurant, and I said let me try this. I was extremely disappointed with the amount of flies that were buzzing around my food that day. The bacon was very good. The potatoes were good. Everything else was OK you cannot allow flies to fly around a eating establishment. The waitress was OK but the manager was very nice. But I eat there again probably not. read more

We're locals and have come here regularly for years. Haven't been here since Dec 2021. Everything has been great since then. Tonight, my first drink looked like it was a 1/3 of the pour, but the 2nd drink came out standard pour. The fries with all 3 of our dinners were ICE COLD & STALE. But the worst part is when it came to pay, the server actually stood over us and hustled us for the tip. Never in my life has a server EVER done that. Watched my husband as he pulled out money to pay and said "no the restaurant can't break a $100" & then did not leave and haggled with him over how much he is leaving. Every year we make our way to Peddlers village in the fall. It was always a wish to eat at Buttonwood Grill but until this year we were never able to get in. We put our name in around 11:15 and waited about 20 minutes which wasn't too bad. We got a coveted spot on the deck which was perfect on the gorgeous fall day. Our waitress was nice and clearly busy. The other adults I was with enjoyed their meals. Maybe I ordered poorly. I started with the fall margarita. It was served in a pint glass which was new to me. It tasted like a non-descript fruit drink, but not like either the apple cider nor cranberry it described. It also had no rim of any kind. I also ordered the southwest salad. It was so pathetic. The second I saw it I thought "did someone order a plain side salad?" The dressing was flavorless. It was a bed of chopped romaine lettuce with a sad little quesadilla on top. It promised black beans, corn, tomatoes, and avocado. I literally counted 6 black beans, 1 kernel of corn, and 2 tiny pieces of avocado. It was horrible! I told the waitress to let the chef know it was a crappy salad. And $14 to boot. So disappointing. The kids meals we ordered were fine. They described it as a chicken and cheese taco but it was very much a quesadilla. The other adults enjoyed their burger. The fries were decent. We started with the crab and spinach artichoke dip which was, again, pretty flavorless. You're definitely paying a high tab for being in such close proximity to Peddler's Village. I would never choose to come back here, but I guess it is promising that some of the other dishes were okay. read more

My fish tacos tasted quite good - fresh ingredients and nice touch on the crisped soft tortilla. Husband had the blackbean/quinoa/feta burger - really enjoyed it (and he's pretty picky). We decided to eat indoors, as they don't reserve tables on their patio - it's first come, first served, and we knew we wanted to eat at a certain time. The restaurant is larger than expected, with plenty of booths and tables, and a nice bar area. The menu is not extensive, but it has something for everyone, from pizzas to burgers. To drink, I ordered a non-alcoholic spritzer, which was very refreshing. For my meal, I had the Plain Jane burger with french fries. Although my hamburger tasted fine, I had ordered it to be cooked medium-well, but it arrived well-done. My son thoroughly enjoyed his white pizza; he ordered it without the broccolini and thought it was perfect. We made a reservation a few weeks ahead of time and good thing we did as the place was busy. We arrived about 30 minutes before our reservation time and we had to wait as our table was not ready. My wife is gluten free so options were a little limited for her so she went with the Caesar salad with shrimp. I had heard good things about their pizzas, so I ordered their pepperoni pizza and my son had their kids cheese pizza which came with fries. His pizza appeared to be about the same size as mine, so not sure how this is considered a "kids" pizza! My son enjoyed his burger and for dessert, I went with the lemon panna cota. The only negative I will say is service was a little slow and I went through a good portion of my dinner with no drink as our waitress hardly came around to check on us and offer us refills.
