The food here is delicious! The dishes come out piping hot and the portions are great. Tastes authentic. Prices are reasonable. Seating inside is limited. Tables are small so be aware if you're ordering multiple dishes and sharing them family style (as per Asian tradition); you may run out of space. The servers need to step up their game. They're not bad by any means, but they seem bored and disengaged from their work. You need to ask them for everything--refills, utensils, to-go boxes, etc. With such a small space, they should be easily able to check on guests occasionally to see if they need anything. Overall, I would definitely recommend.

Probably 3.5 stars but we'll round up :) I stopped by on a weekday in the early evening. It wasn't busy -- the staff was attentive and the service was prompt. It's a casual spot, very accessible if you're hopping off the metro, and there's plenty of seating indoors. I believe I ordered the Ka Pow Perfect and Drunken Noodle with chicken and they were running a promotion with free spring rolls. The portions were delightfully massive for the price point (I paid $43 including 20% tip). I had some pieces of fried chicken that turned me off the entree, so I'd go for a different protein if I were to try the dish again. It wasn't aggressively spicy so you really don't have to be cautious when choosing the spice level. For the drunken noodles, the sheer (over)size of the noodles made it a bit less enjoyable, but the flavor was great. I think this is a great spot for a convenient and no frills, solid meal.

We only ordered from their Mongolian menu, and they had three dishes available that day. I think their Mongolian food is authentic, and their servers were also Mongolian. If you want to try real Mongolian food in the NOVA/DC area, come here! We ordered their fried dumplings and steamed. Both have meat and onions, but it's mainly meat. I prefer the deep fried one (which is flat and kinda shaped like an empanada). It was delicious! The steamed one tastes similar to traditional Chinese dumplings, but came with sweet cabbage salad in the middle. I think the soup was my favorite. It came with man tou or steamed plain buns. The meat was very tender and the soup was flavorful, especially for someone who doesn't usually like soup. There was a good proportion of veggies vs. meat, unlike the dumplings. For drinks, we ordered milk tea which came with quinoa at the bottom. This is NOT like your traditional Taiwanese milk tea. This tastes mainly like warm milk but also contains black tea. The quinoa at the bottom was a nice treat. For some reason, this drink took the longest to come out. If you want to try something new, I'd recommend getting this. Apparently Mongolians usually put dried meat in this drink, but this place doesn't offer that option.

I discovered this place after parking in front of it to go to Tupelo Honey for brunch. Because it was super crowded, plan B for Buzz Thai Ratery became our choice for lunch, Small, intimate, clean and modern decor with earth tone colors of brown and green caught our attention as soon as we came in. We got a window seat with a table for four. We were greeted right away and given a colorful menu to review. My daughter and I love Thai tea and we enjoyed ours. My husband was happy to see Thai iced coffee as a choice and said it was so good. E started with some soup and appetizers and shared their fried rice with the addition of chicken. The crab Rangoon was my fave but everything was flavorful.

I've visited this restaurant many times. There aren't a lot of Mongolian restaurants in this area so that limits one's choices. The food is good. Mongolian food is not a complex cuisine. It's very simple and direct. Salt, pepper, onions and garlic. Buuz Thai does this well but with some caveats. Service: terrible. The waiting staff are rude and don't seem to have a lot of experience. I've experienced this with at least 4 different staff members. Deceptive pricing: Although the pricing issue is a small monetary amount, it is not posted anywhere in the restaurant. All menus available in restaurant do not show the prices they charged me. The wait staff never verbally alerted me of price differences and when I asked to speak with the owner or manager on staff I was told no one was available to speak with me on the matter. I don't expect employees to take accountability but one staff members response was "no one has complained about the prices before". ****important**** Gratuity is meant for tipped employees. The wait staff don't receive any gratuity because the management takes it all. It's my understanding that the wait staff are hourly workers. So please keep in mind if you decide to leave a tip for good service, the person that you intend to tip will not receive it, but it will instead go straight to the management/ownership. DECEPTIVE!!!! I will not return to Buuz Thai ever again.

Great food and service! I like that it's a cute little restaurant with reliably great Thai food. My papaya salad and pad Thai were both very flavorful. I have ordered takeout from Buuz Thai and didn't think it was quite as flavorful so I'd recommend dinning in.

Pad Thai with Chicken - a simple yet tasty option

A good neighborhood Thai restaurant for both takeout and in-store dining, with several classic options across the menu. -- After a long week, my significant other and I came here for a nice, simple dinner for two. We have ordered DoorDash from here a few times prior, and always had solid experiences, but never dined in before. Most of the business they receive does appear to be takeout and delivery, and there were a lot of people coming in and out. There were still a few parties seated in the small eating area, both families and couples, and the tables and interior was certainly more than nice enough. Our service was friendly and prompt, and easy to get ahold of even though she was also running takeout orders. While the menu was expansive, we kept it simple and ordered off the Thai menu. We had Chicken Spring Rolls for the table, and I ordered for myself Chicken Pad Thai and Spring Rolls (my significant other ordered Curry). The food came out fast. The Spring Rolls were first - they were very simple, yet good. The Pad Thai was a sizable portion, and was everything I needed and dreamed of after a long week. I would have ideally liked it to be a bit spicier and pack a bit more of a punch flavor wise, but I also knew what to expect ordering one of the more 'common' dishes on the menu. Overall a very good experience, and a restaurant I am happy to continue to support both in person and for takeout. In the future, I would be very curious to try their Mongolian Menu, or the additional entrees off the Thai menu.

Deliver time is good, however, extremely no other flavored spicy drunken noodle just could not be eaten. Even noted on Not spicy when ordered. Called back and the person said they would but never gave me any response. Dinner was ruined and their communication is not what it should be. Over all, their food is really just ok. A very typical take out place. Other restaurants around here is better for the value. read more

I've been here couple times and I've tried their noodle dish, rice dish, and dessert. The restaurant itself is very small, so I always just order a take out or delivery. Parking there is also limited, some street parking on Wilson but other than that, I don't know where you'd park. I'm a huge fan of Thai food and I've tried most Thai restaurants around the nova area and I think this place is OK. I come here when I am craving mango sticky rice at 9:30PM! That's probably my favorite thing there! read more

I got pad thai and calamari delivered from here and enjoyed them both. The pad thai tasted great and I felt like I got a lot of food for the price. The calamari, while good, weren't what I was expecting. I was pleased by the size of the dish, but was expecting more traditional breading and not the panko breading used. While that makes sense for an Asian restaurant, I don't think I would order this again. Delivery was super fast and friendly, though, so this is still a great choice if you're craving Thai food and feeling lazy. read more

I could not believe how fast the delivery was! We received our food 22 minutes after ordering it, granted, we live half a mile from the place. But that's also a very quick time to make food! The food is delicious, and the favorites were the pad Thai and the drunken noodles. We also have the duck Curry, pork belly and larb. All yummy. read more

I got the drunken noodles with tofu medium spicy. It was delish. Went in on a Tuesday around 12:30 it was fairly empty. It's small, they have about 7 tables total. Food came out quickly it was fresh and hot. Service was prompt and courteous. I'll return. read more

For what it is, I have give this place a perfect rating. I came here at 2130, and the service was efficient. I got my food in a reasonable amount of time, and the food was not weird. Also, the restaurant was CLEAN and inviting. I am so picky about cleanliness, especially in restaurants. I have been to other Thai restaurants, and I have had to pick out certain parts in my Pad Thai. The prices are very reasonable. In conclusion I would definitely come here again. Well done! read more

The green curry is great. It's filled with lots of good vegetables too; eggplant, green beans, green and red peppers and bamboo shoots. The mild was spicy enough for me and I usually like spicy. When I arrived to pick it up, it was ready and the staff were really friendly. The gave me a free Thai iced tea and thanked me for coming. read more

Attention vegans: their vegetable or tofu panang curry = vegan! They are one of the few Thai places in Arlington that does not use fish sauce in this, and it tastes incredible. This place is amazing. Super consistant and reliable and the delivery never takes too long and they are nice. If you are eating there it is very clean and cozy. I always order vegetable panang curry and it arrive piping hot and full of fresh crisp vegetables. Yum read more

Although my chicken pad Thai was tasty, it took 40 mins to make (after I called ahead)! The portion size isn't very large either. After being patient for my order, I recognized they made it wrong! I ordered no peanuts due to allergies and thank goodness I checked my bag before I left. It took another 20mins just to get my order remade. I won't be returning. read more

Best pad thai in Arlington and one of the only places that will actually make your meal spicy when you ask for spicy! Lots of crushed peanuts and a nice amount of chicken. The portions are huge (I'm able to get two meals at of one order). We also love the fried rice and spring rolls. This is our new favorite takeout restaurant! read more

Buuz Thai is pretty darn good. It's an exceptionally modest room (a handful of tables, no tablecloths) and service, on a recent visit, was pretty iffy. But it doesn't much matter: the food is fresh, spicy and just good by any reasonable standard. Ka Prow had lots of fresh veggies and was perfectly cooked. Spring rolls were burning hot but good. The best Thai in this immediate area. read more

Easily the best Thai food I've had since moving to the DMV. If you're going to get something grab the curry puffs as they are delectable (amazing dining in and still pretty good when ordering in). Their thai tea is perfect in my opinion as the sweetness and lightness of the drink are just right. Love the gluten-free pad thai as well! read more

Ordered the sweet and sour chicken tonight. Not your typical chicken as they don't bread it. Fine, that's okay. My mistake for not investigating more. Except my bowl was 95% vegetable and broth. Overall excellent place. Khuushuur was really good, the meat was hand chopped which is the key element to good khuushuur, service was good, price was quite reasonable. As a customer, i would like to recommend the owners pay more attention to the decoration. Since its thai/mongol place, you guys can hang at least some photos of nomadic lifestyle or thai temples. The photo of Eiffel tower was simply misfit. But it is not serious matter that would affect my review as 5 stars. Keep it up! Amjilt! read more

Really sorry to write this - but I had a terrible meal delivered. A couple of weeks ago I ordered the Pad thai with shrimp for delivery. First - I will say the flavour was good and the prawns were cooked nicely. However, the pad thai noodles where a big stuck together gelatinous mess. They came out shaped like the container - round, hard and stuck together. The noodles were mostly inedible. Sorry - but won't be ordered from Buuz Thai again. read more

It can get crowded inside, but it has never been intolerable. It is very well maintained and clean. Sometimes service may be slow but you will definitely be served. The cuts of meat and the wide variety of self serve hot pot options have never disappointed. The vegetables and mushrooms are always fresh and nicely prepared. I usually stick to lamb and beef, and if you are satisfied with those then go for it. The meat is consistently well balanced and never too lean or overly fatty. Just beautiful cuts. I have tried several broths including original, spicy, tomato, and pickled veggie chicken and all were exactly what you would expect and very satisfying. For such an established chain, it is impressive that it continues to get better. Recently they added more beverage options beyond the soda machine, which is already included with the dinner price, including my hot pot favorite drink, plum juice. One thing to note is that if you try to go on Fridays after 8pm, you will probably not get a seat. I went once, but the waitlist was already hours long by 7:30pm so I went elsewhere. They also have a milk pudding dessert that is very good, but not sure why it was not available the last time I visited.....

We were stuffed but Jorge and Matt (one of the owners) dropped off a complimentary order of apple donuts with raspberry jam. I shouldn't be surprised but the chunks of real apple in the donuts - wow. The same guard ran after me and started accusing me of stealing -- but couldn't say what was supposedly stolen or who had complained, because nobody actually had. I told him my laptop and jacket were inside at the bar and that all the bartenders know me. He eventually apologized once it became obvious he had nothing. Same guy, same pattern, different night. Also worth knowing: my friend and I had just ordered around $100 in food and drinks at the end. Nothing finished. No refund offered, no apology, no manager. If management thinks letting one guard humiliate paying customers in front of their friends is good for business, here's your feedback. Plenty of better pubs in Arlington that actually respect the people

However, given that they ranked 32nd among this country's top 50 Pizza restaurants, I had to order a pizza. And I'll get to my pizza after I discuss some other things, because it all plays together. Also, during my visit, I kept drawing comparisons between this place and Pupatella, a local Neapolitan pizza juggernaut. The Big Question to answer is why A Modo Mio got a spot on the Top 50 while Pupatella didn't even make the cut. Access is easy, and parking is good. There are lots of spaces that wrap around the restaurant. That's in contrast to Pupatell, which has limited parking and where I always wind up using the Safeway lot across the street. The restaurant is clean and spacious, with plenty of comfortable seating. It also has a long, well-stocked bar where you can sit to enjoy a beverage or a meal. Pupatella doesn't have any of that. When you arrive, you're greeted by a host who shows you to your seat. A very short while later, a waiter shows up and does all the things waiters do. At Pupatella, you wait in line to place your order, then find an open table. TLDR: Your dining experience, outside of the food, is much more civilized and relaxing at A Modo Mio. The pie that earned their 32 out of 50 ranking was the Sicilia. But I ordered a 12" Casertana because I'm not crazy about eggplant and like sausage. The pie arrived a short while later, piping hot and loaded with sausage. The taste was sublime and delicious. My only complaint was that the basil was added before baking, and I prefer that herb when it's not reduced to ash. So back to The Big Question, is the A Modo Mio pizza *that* much better than Pupatella that it earned a spot amongst the Top 50 while the other one didn't even make the cut? Frankly, it's not. It is good pizza... possibly great pizza. But that's also true of the other place. What sets A Modo Mio apart from that other place, and the answer to the Big Question, is that the criteria for generating the Top 50 list included more than the pizza. It also took into account: - Hospitality and Service - Ambiance - Beverage Program. Beyond the pizza, A Modo Mio has those things in abundance, while the other place pretty much has none. TLDR: Comparing pizzas side by side, the two places are on par. However, if you take into account the entire dining experience, you will be much happier with your pizza here, as opposed to that other place or most other pizza restaurants in the DMV area.

But to be honest... even with "fork and knife pizza" the toppings should not be goopy and slippery. Does the best pie and Arlington hold like that on the regular? Nothing special about the toppings either. The crust and dough were the best part of this experience, but an amazing pie, should have all component's complimenting each other. Is it decent pizza? Yes. Best pizza in Arlington? I don't think so.

They have the best papaya salad in Arlington area for sure!!! Just love their papaya salad yummmmm. The spices nuts PERFECT their pad Thai and drunken noodles are soo good. I prefer my pad Thai with little spices but can't do that when your kid shares everything you eat . Must try their bubble teas which are not all sugar like Kung fu tea place. Can't forget their Mongolian food!! The only authentic Mongolian food you can find in DMV area. Loooove love this place! Keep up the good work guys! You guys deserve more than 5stars read more
