Walking into the great vibe in the restaurant!

If you're looking for a brunch spot in New York, this is the place to go! La Mercerie offered a beautiful atmosphere that's both elegant and welcoming. The food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and the customer service felt genuinely hospitable and made us feel well cared for. Whether you're catching up with friends, celebrating something special, or simply treating yourself, this spot delivers a memorable brunch experience.

I don't understand why this place has such a low rating. Food is outstanding, service is lovely. What more can you ask? Came for breakfast and started with a chocolate croissant which was one of the best I've had and I have had some good ones in Paris. We ordered the salmon plate fruit plate and the yogurt. They were outstanding. The fruit was so fresh even in the winter when berries are usually not the best they managed to find the highest quality. The addition of mint to the yogurt was so refreshing and the granola was perfect. We loved the salmon so much we ordered a second round. We also ordered some eggs and potatoes and the buckwheat crepe. I'd skip the crepe personally but my brother loved it. Ended off with a cookie because how can you not. Perfect.

WHEN: Fri @12:30pm We only came here for famous cookie: CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE - $8 Oh boy I see and understand the hype. It really was good--slightly toasty on the outside and it gets gooier towards the center. It tasted so fresh and warm! And I appreciate how it's nicely sealed in its parchment pouch when they bring it out to you after placing an order. It's a cookie I'd definitely come back for and worth the price tag.

Adorable place for a girls weekend or date brunch in an elegant setting. Service was a bit disorganized. Food was great and the setting inside Roman and Williams Guild store is absolutely lovely . Snag a table inside as the outside seating isn't special.

I came in here to solely try their cookie and chat with my friend, and we had a great time. Located inside of a furniture and home decor store, this restaurant and cafe is beautifully decorated. And, service here was amazing. While I'm sad to say I couldn't catch the name of our amazing waitress, all of the staff here were so kind and I loved chatting with them. In addition, while I was a bit anxious about just ordering one cookie to share with my friend (and no drinks or anything) to chat for a while at the restaurant, the staff didn't make us feel pressured or bad at all for not ordering more. Their cookie was phenomenal by the way. I could definitely see why it's hyped up, and how it's a favorite for many. It's crispy on the outside but gooey on the inside, and absolutely delicious.

Some memorable things about this place was the informative server we received; very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu/recs. We got the croissant which was flaky, warm & beautiful buttery. The baguette with a tab of butter was also very fresh & instantly became my favorite. I got the Le cocette (steamed egg) however I was quite dissatisfied about the steaminess of the egg. Compared to photos I saw online it looked like mine was not ready/just looked different. The egg was certainly just cracked in, less than poached which I was a little taken back from since the waiter said it was suppose to be steamed. My friend enjoyed her crepe w eggs & ham. The whole place is lovely & the decoration was spotless. The pastries look fantastic, for food-food, it's gonna have to be a miss from me

The cookie is very good. You don't have to sit down and eat a whole meal in the restaurant just to get the cookie. You can ask for a cookie at the host stand and they will ring you up and bring you one that is already pre wrapped. It's not fresh out of the oven, but it'll do. It's still pretty moist. And it's got good density/thickness with more than enough chocolate.

I went to get their infamous cookie thats been buzzing around social media and I must admit it was worth getting; when you go inside, you can go to the side of their coffee brewing area, and you can order the cookie from there. The staff there are all very friendly and nice and they can direct you to the area as well! The cookie has a good weight to it, and there is sea salt sprinkled on top; it had hazelnut and chocolate and rich buttery taste. I think that if the cookie was slightly warmed up it would be even better

Came for soup, champagne, and cookies after a day of shopping. I love the atmosphere of this place. Soup was very good but a little pricey at $22. Cookie was delicious and luckily they were not sold out. Service was very mediocre during the visit.

We came here for a friend's birthday brunch, and we were greeted and welcomed by excellent service courtesy of Micah. The food was superb and had an excellent presentation, two of us ordered smoked trout, another got the chicken, and the rest got the crepes. The creme fraiche went excellently with the rye toast and trout. We got espresso martinis and they were absolutely delicious. Foamy, thick and strong. Micah made sure that our friend got a nice dessert for his birthday too!

Went for Sunday brunch with a reservation inside. The outdoor dining setup looked so cute but we were worried about the bipolar weather we have been having lately. Inside was bright and cheery. Good vibes for brunch. Service was top notch. We split a croissant (loved the strawberry jam) and chocolate chip cookie (so salty and perfect) for the table. I had the buckwheat crepe with the runny egg and ham - loved it. Would definitely come back here. Had no clue there was a home decor slash furniture store as part of the restaurant but its adorable and I noticed a private dining room downstairs when I went to use the restroom.

Vibe and atmosphere were great. Felt underwhelmed by the food. Everything needed a touch more salt. The profiteroles were incredible, the hot and cold factor were nice. I tried the viral cookie and thought it was good, not my style though and too oily (from the butter). The touch of Nutella was a nice surprise.

cute spot -- lovely ambience (gorgeous florals) and place to catch up with a friend for coffee. the restaurant is combined with a home goods store, so you can browse a bit after too! the service was very friendly and while I only stopped by for coffee, i'd come to come back and try the food here next time.

The ambiance feels straight of the golden age, which is an aesthetic I'm certainly a sucker for. Even their robust cocktail menu fits the bill and is one of the prettiest menus I've ever had the joy of perusing. Staff was able to sit us a little bit ahead of our reservation which was also much appreciated. Wait staff was also very helpful and attentive, I don't think I've ever had my water glass so topped off! Starting off with cocktails, this place is a gin bar through and through and you'd be making a mistake if you didn't try one of their many options. I went with the 10,000 words, which you simply just give a spirit of your choice (I picked gin of course) and whether you antes) wanted your drink shaken or stirred and the bartender does the rest, so a bit of a surprise! I wound up with their version of The Last Word which was delightfully citrusy but I was hoping I'd wind up with something a little more adventurous app things considered. My girlfriend got the blackberry G&T, which was not only very pleasing to look at but delicious to boot. For food, we started with splitting some zucchini blossoms and beef cheek bao buns (both come in portions of 3). Both were tasty, but I love a good bao bun and these were so light and pillowy, I could have just went for an order of those for my main course. For the entree I went for the roasted half chicken, perhaps the most unassuming choice on the menu but this was maybe the best roast chicken I've ever had. Prepared perfectly, cooked to perfection, excellent portion size, and the kicker of it all was the stunning gravy that I was tempted to lick my plate for. Chicken is very easy to screw up, and they nailed it on all fronts here. My girlfriend went for the Valerie Signature burger with white cheddar and this thing did not mess around! A very rich patty, cooked to her temperature of choice served alongside some garlic truffle fries that made an American classic feel just a little more elevated. Our experience was delightful and I'd love to comeback here again, especially to check out more of the cocktail menu and soak in more of that golden age aura the place gives.

Our friends raved about this place and we of course were excited (and a bit skeptical at first) to try it. The concept: no menu + no lights + a few questions = the ultimate cocktail experience. The speakeasy vibe and the dark ambiance really makes this place feel even more exclusive. With just a few tables and the bar setting, you're in for an experience you won't forget (unless you answer the wrong questions and really end up with a drink you don't like HA). This wasn't my case. Of course I described my two favorite things: Negroni + mezcal. The obvious answer would be a mezcal Negroni, but that's not why one comes to a place like Attaboy. Our amazing curator came by to ask us all a few questions, write down a few words in the napkins, and mix up the perfect drink that our master bartender crafts, curates and creates. My drink came as I couldn't possibly imagine. It looked like a Negroni smelled like Oaxaca, with all the smoke simmering up and preparing my sensory experience, leading to the best first sip. Ladies and gentleman, I introduce you to The Devil's Backbone. A perfectly balanced drink I'll never forget, one that is sipped slowly and enjoyed thoroughly. It's sexy, it's smoky it's sipped. Attaboy gave the best mixology experience and we can't wait to be back. Pro tip: be sure to be as vocal as possible, even with ice, so you don't end up with a tiki drink if that's not your vibe.
