My sister and I go to this Buzz Inn every 6-8 weeks. Today we met for lunch. Upon seating, we were told the kitchen was backed-up and our meal could take 45 minutes. We said - fine. Fifty minutes later, as other tables arriving after us were getting food, we asked for a status. We were told our order had been lost and nothing was prepared. In 40 years of outside dining, I've had a few wrong orders but never one lost. Was our expectation that the kitchen would prioritize our order next, inappropriate? We didn't think so, but our server needed to 'talk' to the kitchen. The manager came and said that our expectation would be 'rude' as she spread-out her hands to indicate the number of pending orders. Apparently, having a table unnoticed for 50 minutes with a lost order not discovered until we asked - was not 'rude' I was completely bewildered at her response. There was no attitude of apology. As we left, the manager said 'have a good day' with a tone that said - you don't know how bad my day has been. I say, if you don't have resources to provide proper service, don't seat people. We all ordered the chicken fried steak and it was great! There are 3 options to choose from if you oder it. The regular dinner portion was the perfect amount. There were no leftovers to take home. They have breakfast lunch and dinner options and everything was great. The server was very attentive and the food came out quickly. The inside of the building looked renovated and newer. I definitely recommend this location over the Lake Stevens location. The bar is separated by a lobby and it was nicely set up. We will be back soon to try more of their menu. read more

We found this place on our way back to the city and were kindly allowed to quickly order before they closed. Fiancé kindly asked the hostess here, who ended up being our waitress too, if we could still come in 30 minutes to close, and she was so sweet and welcoming. I had briefly read through the reviews of this place, so I figured they would give us the stink eye, but "Esyna" (her name on our receipt, forget her name tag name, sorry about that) was so sweet and helpful in answering all of our questions and not rushing us out. We still tried to order and eat quickly out of respect for their time. We were obviously disheveled after a long day of hiking and needed a quick, warm meal before driving back home. Everyone was very friendly. The place is huge, by the way. The previous Yelpers didn't do it justice. They have a fairly large entryway, which then splits into two rooms: a dining room and even an arcade/bar area. I tried to capture this in photos. The place is clean, too. It's not at all divey, imo, it has more of a newish diner feel. We ordered: -Chilly Billy - Fiancé loved this, he somehow couldn't finish the onion rings and ended up taking some home, so this will be filling for sure. -6 oz Best Value Center Cut Top Sirloin w Chilly cup side and side salad with blue cheese - Yum! I would not recommend eating here. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Let's start with the food, why would you sell boxed macaroni and cheese? And the mixed vegetables, the waitress even said not to order because they are microwaved. Then there's the service, it was less than mediocre, more specifically, just as good as the boxed macaroni and cheese. Save your money, go to IGA next door, buy your dinner and cook at home. I would give 0 stars if I could! My expectations were already low because it's a buzz inn steakhouse, but they still managed to disappoint! My 2 daughters, my 1yr old grandson and I stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday night. There weren't many other customers and our orders were taken fairly quickly, so far so good. That is where the good ends. We did not see our server again for over 45 minutes. People started filling in and we watched as a table of 6 people who came in after us were served not only their appetizers, but then their entrees a well and we still hadn't entrees laid eyes on our server again, until we asked another girl to check on our order. She came back and said our burgers were just being constructed. Soon after we saw our server rush of to the back and 15 minutes later, after waiting an hour she finally brought out our food. When we complained about the wait she just said, "sorry, it's a busy Wednesday night". We told her that makes no sense as others who came in after us got their appetizers and food before us and she didn't have any response, so my daughter asked if she would take some of of our bill and she asked if we'd like to have her comp our to go order. We agreed and scarfed down our extremely mediocre food because we were starving by this point. We believe she went on break and forgot to put in our order. When she brought us the bill, they had comped all of our meals and only charged us for the to go order so I guess they can keep the 1 star for that, but we will not be going back for mediocre food and terrible service. Great place with great food! This is the perfect place to stop after a hike! They offer outdoor seating under a tent, friendly service, and had great food. The Biley Burger was so good and they offer bottom less fries, but you'll be too full to order more! The next time I'm in the area after the hike, this will be where we stop afterwards! read more

Think this place needed a deep cleaning. Ordered ribeye but think I got sirloin instead - no fatty parts, was kinda chewy. The vegetables were the frozen mix. Mashed potatoes instant? The burger and onion rings got a better rating. Customer service was excellent though, extra star. This place is one of the main restaurants in town. Come on guys! Came here on a super rainy day! Enjoyed coming here to Granite Falls Buzz Inn. We like it better than the one in Arlington. Came as a party of four. I had the taco salad which was huge! I liked that it came with guacamole and sour cream with out asking! Served in a crispy shell. My husband had The Works, 8 oz steak, grilled onions, mushrooms and bacon. It was cooked perfectly. My parents had a Swiss dip and a Chili burger. Everyone walked away stuffed and pleased with choice. The waitress was pleasant and attentive. The only downside was it was absolutely freezing in there. No heat on and the fireplace broken. On a 57 degree day you need to have heat or tell your patrons to bring a blanket! read more

I am so shocked at the GF Buzz! I went to place a steak order to take home. A 20.00 steak end up costing almost 27.00 and it was tough and terrible. I asked why a 20.00 steak added up to so much and she told me they are charging me for the toppings on my baked potato and because I am getting it to go there are additional charges. If this meal would have been good I would not be on here complaining. I don't mind paying a little extra for anything that is good but when the baked potato was better than a tough and gritty steak I know I didn't get my moneys worth. First off, let me just say that I'm very grateful that this place is still open a few days a week during the pandemic. It's great to be able to pick up some decent, hot food on a whim. The menu selection is wide and the staff is always friendly. The food is good, actually better than what I'd usually expect from a place like Buzz Inn. I've only eaten in the restaurant a couple times but the atmosphere is warm and inviting - and it's a much larger space than it looks like from the outside. My only real issue is the consistency. Sometimes I get the garlic bread I'm supposed to get with my salad, sometimes I don't. Sometimes the person taking my order doesn't miss a beat when I ask for the steak mac and cheese, sometimes they tell me they don't offer that (when I'd just ordered it a couple days before). Sometimes I just don't get the side salad that's supposed to come with my meal. I don't think they know what a Caesar salad is. Both times I've ordered it, I get a chef salad with caesar dressing. The second time (the one I got today) at least had parmesan cheese and croutons tossed on top of the tomatoes and egg. It's still tasty and I haven't complained, but it's not a caesar salad. Overall, it's a good experience. Nothing is ever messed up so much that it's inedible - it's always tasty. I just wish I got what I ordered every time instead of a sort-of grab-bag that's close to what I ordered. read more

Two stars because the server was decent. Initially when we walked in I was astonished at how dirty it looked in there. There was food/napkins all over the ground and our bench seat had crumbs and stains all over it. We are pretty forgiving people so we decided to stay anyways. I got the French toast which came with hair in it, my husband got the chicken sandwich, which was still raw in the middle. I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to bad restaurant experiences, but not this time. We decided to spare the staff from cleaning up after our two toddlers and ordered takeout. They forgot FIVE items on our order. I asked to be refunded for the items we didn't receive and the manager said I would have to drive back to get the refund. I paid electronically. Why would I drive back for a refund? So now I'm disputing the whole transaction with my bank rather than the manager doing the right thing and refunding me for the items they missed. We used to be big fans of the Buzz Inn but this place has gone way downhill. The last few orders we have placed they have forgotten items on our order. When you call and ask for a refund on the missing items they tell you that they cannot refund you unless you come back in. If I were to drive all the way back, why wouldn't I just ask for the items that were missing?? That is just poor business practice. If you order food to go, they charge you $1.50 PER ITEM as a to go fee. When I asked about this they said it was for the packaging. $1.50 for each to go box?? I was told this was a decision from corporate. Again, very poor business decision. In a time when people are already being squeezed for more money in every aspect of life, these are the dumb business decisions that will lose you customers. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told that there was no manager there (which they have already been cited by the Snohomish County Health District for, among many other citations for sanitation issues) Rude staff that is literally of no help. The Buzz Inn has lost us as customers, but I'm sure a "manager" will respond to this review and say the generic "we hope you will give us another chance" reply as they have done for all the countless bad reviews. Save your money, there are plenty of much better options unless a run down dirty dive bar is your cup of tea. read more

I've been going to buzz Inn all over washington state, darn near my whole life almost 40 years. I remember going in there when they had cigarette machines and my parents smoked at the table. I have never had a bad experience, the food is good and the staff is great and the pricing is fair. I've even hit a few good wins on pull tabs over the years, like my oldest daughters, 110cc quad I got for 30 bucks on pull tabs a few years ago. This Morning the power was out at my place in Granite Falls from the wind storm. So for breakfast I decided to go to the Buzz Inn. My pancakes came back burned and I only expected the waitress to maybe take them off, but she comped my entire meal. She was awesome, the burned pancakes were not. Now this isn't a deal breaker but what just happened tonight is. I come in about 9 pm for dinner because they have karaoke and they're close. The bartender saw me come in and sit down but she ignored me. Then a man came in and sat next to me and she right away got him a beer and a menu and ignored me even though I leaned forward and tried to make eye contact with her. I don't know this woman and I've only been in a hand full of times and I've never been a problem. So I have no answer for this. Why would she ignore me at the bar. Serve another customer who she knew came in after me and ignore me again after serving him? I mean WTF? This Buzz Inn will never see another dollar from me. I got up and left. So how does this place even rate 3 stars? The senior steak meal was disaster from start to finish. Salad arrived first & I noticed iceberg lettuce was water-logged so I flipped the bowl onto my plate & sure enough, lettuce floating in WATER in bottom of salad bowl. Then came the steak with veggies which chewed like rubber & 2 ridiculously small toast, made for a pygmy. Oh, but the steak was the worst. It arrived barely warm, I specified MEDIUM (blood was rolling down the plate as it was served up by the waitress) & it was beyond TOUGH. I cut 1 'test bite' ready to send it back, then realized if it was any more cooked & it would be too tough to EAT. Before long I was spitting out grisly hunks, searching for one good piece of righteous steak but alas, most of the steak was un-swallable. Lesson to the cook (this guy does not deserve to be called chef): A place that made its name as a steakhouse should learn how to cook a steak MEDIUM. read more

I'm not from the area, my my fiancé's sister lives here. We were just coming in from SeaTac, but needed a quick bite to eat and this was the last only place open after 9. It looked nice enough from the outside, but empty inside. They were in full blown clean up mode when we walked in so it took a few minutes for someone to get to us. We ordered to go my fiancé got steak & eggs and practically inhaled it when we got to his sisters. I had the oriental wrap. I specified when I ordered that I wanted REALLY LIGHT dressing, the wrap was drowning in it. Since we took it to go the tortilla was soggy and gross.
