I'm sure they do good work and maybe this was a one off, but this was my experience…read more Popped in today 5/24/2026 around 3 pm to replace a lost 16 gauge segment/seemless/clicker ring for recently pierced upper/2nd lobe. The person assigned to assist me (I don't recall names/faces well) put the new segment/seemless/clicker ring in the lower lobe/1st instead of the upper/2nd lobe spot. I don't now how they missed the 2nd lobe because I had a light blue plastic place holder in the 2nd lobe so it wouldn't close up, we talked about it to confirm which one it was, and they saw me take the blue plastic out. Yes, I should have asked for a mirror once they finished to confirm they did it correctly but I trusted they knew what they were doing. I didn't notice, my friend pointed it out a bit after I left the shop, my friend moved it into the correct spot for me. Customer service was normal when I first went in but I didn't feel like driving back, finding parking, and blah blah blah over this. Think this was the breakdown, they didn't provide a receipt and I paid cash. Cost was $30 for the sterilized segment ring, $5 for the service, and I gave a $5 tip.

That location has temporarily closed down their piercing studio and the only one with a piercing professional was this Venice location. They have a post-piercing follow-up service to change out the post to a shorter one 6-8 weeks after you had your piercing. Parking - OMG. Impossible as it's street parking. Give yourself 30-40 mins minimum to find a spot!! Store - it's located at the edge of the main Abbott Kinney rows of stores. Clean, bright, lots of employees helping customers. It's Valentine's Day so it's busy busy! Piercing Studio - Marley was FANTASTIC! I was late to my appt by an hour - traffic horrific & parking horrendous. However, Marley gave up her lunch break to accommodate me. She explained clearly what she was going to do at this follow-up. It was to replace the flat back to a shorter one since it's healing well. It took less than 3 mins & no pain or tugging. Marley told me The Americana location is hiring a new piercing professional & Piercing Studio will reopen ver soon! Overall, I would recommend any Mejuri location as customer service is top notch! Their jewelry is modern & has clean, crisp look to them. Everyone was so sweet and made the experience really fun. My piercer, Gia, was fantastic. She was extremely knowledgeable and very attentive to cleanliness and sterile technique. As a nurse, I pay close attention to hygiene, and I was really impressed. She even re cleaned my ears after I accidentally touched them before piercing. That level of care meant a lot to me. The process was smooth and fast, he confirmed the spots before I get pierced. I chose Studs because they offer flat-back screw for their earrings and use piercing needles manually instead of a piercing device. So the healing is better comparing to using a piercing gun. This place is definitely on the pricey side, especially their jewelries. I personally wouldn't get my jewellery here, I'm just here for the piercing and got a titanium stud for now. Will get my proper studs elsewhere.

Another time, I went in to get downsize, and the young woman said she'd only give it to me for free based on when I got pierced, but that she'd need to make a note otherwise the manager would go "what the hell", and she said this as if it were a huge inconvenience and my fault. A snobby and condescending attitude. I don't feel comfortable going back, seems like they just want your money. Not friendly or cordial, clearly just want to sell things.
