    Nachos

I visited Buzzy's today before work. I read excellent reviews online and saw superb pictures. I ordered half supreme nachos and penne pasta with tomato basil cream and garlic bread. As soon as I ordered the nachos, it was brought to my table within 10 minutes. The service was super quick. The supreme nachos had lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, olives, and pickled jalapeños with a base of house-made nacho chips and loads of cheddar cheese. It was served with a side of salsa and sour cream. The nachos were delicious and super warm. The salsa was tangy and tasted fresh. On the other hand, the Penne Pasta with Tomato Basil Cream and Garlic Bread was excellent. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the tomato basil cream sauce was phenomenal. Hands down one of the best pastas I've had in the longest time. The garlic bread was buttery and sprinkled with fresh garlic. In addition, there was a spice blend on the garlic bread, which enhanced the flavor. Overall, an awesome tavern and it has been running for a long time, which says a lot. Highly recommend.

Portions are a pretty decent size especially for the price. I went in for lunch and the restaurant area was pretty empty. We were seated right away. I got an eggplant sandwich off the lunch menu (ranges from $6.95 - $8.95). The sandwiches usually come with chips but I subbed for sweet potato fries which was a little pricey ($3) but considering how cheap the sandwich was I let it go. We also got the mussel zupa for an appetizer. The sauce on it is amazing and we ended up leaving that on the table as a sauce for the sandwich. Probably my favorite thing that we got.

A very nice and friendly neighborhood pub. Very good service and good food. Just wish they had a couple of vegetarian entrees.

I have been in Central New Jersey for so long, but never visited this place.. I googled places to…read moreeat and they showed up with good reviews.. almost like a hidden gem very close to Edison.. parking is at the backside.. decently sized of parking and then you got to walk to the front entrance .. inside is spacious.. lots of seats to sit and eat . Service was very good... Look like a laid-back, please, with soft music and lots of old couples.. looked like a home for most of them, which is really good to see :) looks like everyone knew everyone inside the bar.. the bar had a lot of options.. I like the fact that they had blue moon on tap and not in bottles.. price was reasonable . Got a fried pickle, which was OK... overall a good experience . 4 stars .

Last Saturday night, I went out to Kc's Korner in South Plainfield to check out a friend's band…read morethat was playing live music out on the Patio. This was my first time at Kc's Korner, and the overall experience left me with a good impression. Like the other reviewers say here, it's a great neighborhood bar! We were a party of three. After parking in the private lot, we entered Kc's from the patio entrance in the back. We were greeted by a hosts. I think he first wanted to bring us inside, but then my friend told him we were there for the music on the patio. We ordered food. My vegetarian husband and our vegan friend both went with plain quesadillas (just with the veggies) and non-alcoholic drinks. I went all-in and ordered a Kc's Classic Smash Burger with fries, and a side of onion rings (which my hubs and I ended up sharing). My friend and husband said the quesadillas were good. My hubs said it was better than he expected being a bar and all. The onion rings were really good - tasty batter and fried perfectly. My smash burger was fantastic - hit the spot. I saw that the Patio drink menu had Surfside and Suncruiser canned drinks. I asked our bartender what she thought. She was cool and gave me her take on them. I appreciated that she chatted with me and gave honest input. So I ordered them here for the first time, and they are pretty good! That night, it looked like only 3 people were working the front of the house, so they were busy, but they were on it and were still friendly and outgoing. The place really has a good vibe. Again, great neighborhood bar!
