I have only had their matcha but do not recommend. Very grainy and bitter. It actually mainly just tastes like milk. I was going to back in to have it fixed however my train was pulling up. Maybe they have better beverages but the matcha is not good. Service is good, very nice staff. And clean environment. However I don't think I will be back.

Stay away from this racist establishment. I was greeted warmly by the 2 ladies working the counter. I sat down with my laptop for 15 minutes, and then was approached by a white man who I guess was the owner. He says I have to leave. I ask why and he says these areas are for customers, and I said I was. He proceeds to ask where are your items, and I tell him I didn't order anything yet. He rudely says I need to order something, and I tell him he doesn't need to speak to me like that, as it was coming across rude and racist as I was the only black person in the shop at the time. He then tells me I have to leave because he doesn't like my attitude. I hope all people of color aren't treated like this.

Excellent latte, really high quality coffee. Buttery flaky croissant. Service was super nice. Right at the train station. Good place to meet for a cuppa. Today the doors and window are open and the breeze is delightful. Comfortable and nicely repurposed train station. WITH parkimg! Go here!!

Expect delectable offerings to match the soaring ceiling and decadent style at this revamped, Bronxville Metro North train station- turned Café. Since I'm not a coffee drinker, I didn't let the 'Coffeehouse' name fool me- because there are other treasures I didn't want to miss out on especially after reading a BXVL article in Westchester Magazine. Just so you know, you'll get Hot Cocoa here- not Hot Chocolate. But don't let it deter you because BXVL's Dark Hot Cocoa is just as rich as the second. Plus this Hot Cocoa, isn't the Swiss Miss 'chocolate' powder some of us used eons ago. There's a beautiful large wooden table front and center with high tops surrounding the area including another high top facing the Metro North train tracks. The menu isn't just dedicated to java- there are pastries, salads, "adult" popsicles (I call them that because they're not typical pops), Vegan and Vegetarian items. I started my morning and paired a super moist Dark Chocolate+Banana muffin with a rich Hot Cocoa topped with whip to get the ultimate chocolate fix. And let me not forget Aidan's friendly, attentive service and Hot Cocoa making skills! Hot Cocoa is king here and loved it. So if you're a chocolate lover, I recommend- no, insist on trying BLXV. Or- just try their coffee and everything else on the menu.

Almond Croissant was very flaky and delicious! Excellent service! Very helpful and welcoming! Quaint seating inside and out. Nice if you like the sound of trains. A little warm inside since the door has to be open. Can't wait to return!

Yuck. Worst coffee I've ever had. Tastes like instant. My husband had iced green tea that tasted like urine. Disgusting.

However, I'm happy to report that I dined here recently and had a better experience. Since the time of my initial review, La Casa remained in my periphery - mainly because my parents periodically visited and it was a frequent stop of one of my friends who lives in Bronxville. That being said, I was curious to check out La Casa again - and that opportunity came when my mother chose here to celebrate Mother's Day. La Casa is located just off the main commercial strips. The interior is pretty spacious with a bar towards the front of the restaurant and the main dining room split in two sections. The decor is somewhat under-toned with a cool color scheme and tasteful decor. This is in contrast with other Mexican restaurants that tend to go overboard with the kistch and warm colors. I will say the seats look a little tired, they could use some re-upholstering - and were a little lower to the ground than I expected. In addition to the indoor space, they have an outdoor section which was done up very nicely. The brunch menu contained a selection of apps, sides, quesadillas, tacos, and sides. We decided to start by splitting a few apps: brisket and al pastor tacos, a quesadilla, street corn, chips and guac, and more guac with tuna. All the apps were tasty - the biggest standouts for me were the quesadilla and the tacos which were all generously filled and had good flavor. For my main, I got the camarones a la diabla which were shrimp in a red pepper sauce placed atop beans and paired with bok choy. The dish was pretty good - the shrimp could have been a bit snappier, but I appreciate that they de-shelled them and the sauce and beans worked well with them. Dare I say the bok choy was the star of the dish? It had just enough flavor and added a needed green. We opted for dessert, and I got the grilled pineapple which was paired with (per the menu) vanilla ice cream or guanabana sorbet. I wasn't asked to choose, and was served the sorbet. I would have liked to have been given the option, but maybe that's all they had - fwiw the sorbet was good. The pineapple was candied and came as a large, thick ring - definitely needed a knife and fork to cut it up (which they provided); this was a good dish in concept but I think it can be executed better. Service was good, everyone was friendly and efficient. In my experience, service tends to be the weakest component of a meal on a holiday, but they did a great job. Overall, I had a good experience at La Casa. Even though it's not in my backyard, I would definitely return if the opportunity presented itself.

It was easy for all of us to walk in and out and the waitress was very sweet and knowledgeable. It was restaurant week which we were in aware of so we were pleasantly surprised as we were able to have a three course meal for not a bad price at all. I had French onion soup to start and I was very happy with my choice as it was very flavorful and had a ton of onions which I love when they leave in all of them when they serve it. My friends had clam chowder and calamari. I had a few calamari and was very happy with how fresh and crispy it was. They gave a nice portion on all three. As for my main course I had a a very nice size steak sandwich that were absolutely delicious. It came with hand cut French fries. I couldn't believe how good it was. I'm usually extremely picky and the steak was so tender and it melted it my mouth. The fries were killer good as well. For desert, I had bread pudding and that was wonderful as well. It came in a cream sauce and I was very happy with what I picked. All in all, I loved my meal and the time spent with my friends that I hadn't seen in almost a year. We had laughs and a very nice conversation and they did not rush us at all. I will definitely be back for some amazing food and a wonderful atmosphere to soak it up with.

Always curious about bakeries I haven't tried before, I was excited to check it out. Chantilly has odd hours; they're only open three days per week until 1pm and the good bakes tend to run out fast. They have a good selection of bakes, but we opted for their cookies - specifically the chocolate chip and the Nutella. The cookies were those big, cakey style ones that could easily be shared. The cookies were okay; I was struggling to find flavor in the chocolate chip. While it was the cakey style, it almost had a hard crust on top of it - it looked more like a muffin top than a cookie. There were lots of chocolate chips inside, but for some reason the flavor just wasn't hitting it for me. The Nutella cookie was slightly better, but I'm wondering if the Nutella was in the room with us because I couldn't find it. There was chocolate, and whole hazelnuts, but the filling inside didn't taste like Nutella to me. It was more so like a semisweet chocolate frosting. The flavor profile wasn't bad, and it was a decent chocolate cookie - it just didn't read Nutella to me. Overall, Chantilly was fine. I would be open to returning to explore more of their bakes, but think twice before getting more cookies.

Everybody was super friendly and organized. The treats were so fresh and delicious. My favorite was the pop tart but whatever I tried so far was incredible and I haven't even tried everything yet! I will definitely return to try more things.
