I worked down the street from C and A for 8 years. This is the best mom and pop sandwich shop. It's so nice to always see the same faces over the years. So glad they survived Covid! The workers are always friendly and helpful. My favorite order is the healthy egg salad sandwich with carrots and a lot of sprouts! I'd grab a bag of chips and an Arizona with it. Total was around $10 and it was a perfect lunch! They have seating inside and a TV turned on. There are also a couple of tables outside. I'd often see a lot of teammates from work. I love a good sandwich, looking for a sandwich shop near home has been my mission. We decided to try c&a out. Typical sandwich shop in a business/ industrial area. Loved that they had many vegetarian options. Service was good. No public restrooms. I ordered the ' the natural' (American, Swiss, avocado, sprouts and cucumbers) and 'the vegetarian' ( avocado, cucumber, sprouts, egg and carrot). We asked for nothing extra, just as they come. We ordered the large, which ended up being 1.5 sandwich's!! I did not expect the sandwiches to be so big! Everything looked nice and fresh. The flavor though, was seriously lacking. I wish the natural used cheddar, instead of American cheese. The sandwich's would have benefited from salt, pepper, pickles or peperoncinis. They were just so plain. The sandwiches from this low key shop taste good for what it cost, but everything else is just unpleasant. I usually order the chicken salad or egg salad sandwich with wheat bread. I give them 8/10 for both of them. Taste very healthy and clean, yet still flavorful. The only reason why I gave this spot a 3-star is because the place is dusty and the cashier lady gave us an attitude. The cashier made it seemed as it they were busy even though there was no one behind us. She was rushing the process as we ordered. I wasn't overreacting to the situation, but I can tell from her tone that the cashier seemed annoyed with us for some reason. Like lady, we just tryna order our food and good. This is so far my favorite sandwich shop near where I live and work. I come here often for lunch or whenever I am craving fresh, delicious sandwiches! I don't know why but making sandwiches at home doesn't taste the same as getting one from here. My all time favorite sandwiches from here are the Turkado(turkey), and Deli K Sea(tuna). They are located in the side of Buena Park no one really goes to, but it's quick, cheap and delicious. I ordered a large "Vegetarian". It came with egg salad, thick avocado, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and sprouts. I got it on squaw bread (seemed popular) and that was really good-- it's brown, almost sweet bread. The large is basically 3 halves of the sandwich. Regular is 2 halves so large is the "better deal". My large sandwich after tax was around $8.49! Highly recommend for a grab and go! They have no seating so you just order and get your food within 5-10 minutes. read more

Great sandwiches! Never had one that I didn't like, but my absolute fave is the #2 (Chicken Sandwich with Cashews). It is so tasty and the crunch of the layer of cashews is amazing! Staff is friendly and fast. However, I knock a star off for cleanliness. It needs a major deep clean! The floors, the walls, the corners, the fixtures... they need to take a weekend and really clean that place up. Just look at some of the other pictures (chairs and chips shelf) and you'll see. Even though they're old pictures, the dirt is the same. I hope the owners or family of the owners see this and take it to heart. They're going to lose customers based on their cleanliness. The menu is great and I got the #50 which is turkey, roast beef and avocado..yum! I asked what they recommended for bread and they said squaw and I agreed. I ordered a large drink and chips and it was $9. Few minutes later it was done and tasted fresh and juicy. The reviews that complain about cleanliness etc....really?!
