The quality of the work is what I had an issue with. Called ahead and asked if road force balancing was available and was told yes. Brought the car in and when I left the vehicle was shaking. Took the car back and they added more weight instead of diagnosing the problem. Took the vehicle to another shop because I no longer trusted them. Tht shop fixed the issue and I also had to got get another lugnut because they stripped the head. Long story short this shop does basic balancing do not go there expecting quality work. A balance and rotate cost me 255 bucks. I am not happy. read more

TRIED TO SCAM ME OUT OF $1100 DO NOT GO HERE. See attached image! Back in June I finally decided it was time to fix my cars AC, this was a long time coming because I figured it would be a large expense. I STUPIDLY trusted an even stupider family member, who refereed me to this "auto shop" for repair. I went in for service on June 11th, paid $390 to refill my AC, and replace a part they claimed was "necessary" .. they told me if I had any further issues they had put in a product that would provide more information as to if I had a leak/ where it was leaking. Fast forward 2 DAYS.. I get in my car, no more cold air ... AGAIN. Not even 48 hours later. I immediately called and asked what the next steps were as it hadn't even been 2 full days yet, and they instructed me to bring it back in so they could check for the leak they had mentioned previously, on the phone I mentioned I was on shift for next 5 days so it wouldn't be until then that I could bring it back in. I was not able to make it back in until the 18th. After I brought it back within an hour they "diagnosed" my car as needing a new compressor. Parts, labor, AND ANOTHER AC RECHARGE WITH FREON..You know what I had just paid for that didn't even last 48 hours!! The estimate totaling $1,069.00 for everything. OBVIOUSLY this was very upsetting, so I went back into the shop to try to negotiate with them in some way. After seemingly arguing with Jose for 45 minutes he agreed to waive my refilling fee but let me know he was doing me a HUGE favor. HA! My personal favorite part was them hearing me argue with the gentlemen, to then bring out a female who tried to "better explain it to me". She utilized scare tactics to try to convince me to have the work done, as soon as possible, because "the tariffs will significantly increase the price of everything once that starts kicking in" .... Thank God I have some kind of sense in me, and figured it was at least worth a second opinion from elsewhere. HAHAHA BUCKLE UP!!! I had a much more intelligent friend then recommend me to another mechanic shop in SA. I took it in, and this time within a few hours, I got this response. " Hey soooo I'm not sure what that place did, but I have never seen auto work like that in MY LIFE " There were wires not connected to anything, wires connected incorrectly, I've genuinely just never seen anything like it..... SO I went back connected everything the way it should be and NOW YOUR AC IS WORKING PERFECTLY. I don't even feel right charging you for it, since the work was NEVER COMPLETED CORRECTLY THE FIRST TIME" IM SORRY WHAT!!? In the end the lovely real mechanic only charged me for the refilling of the AC with the Freon and we called it a day. Since then now 3 MONTHS LATER, my AC has continued to stay in IMPECCABLE condition, ice cold, no issues whatsoever. ZERO complaints. In NO way do I feel like this was not a HUGE SCAM, and grab for money.. trying to replace unnecessary things, as this company knew I am a female, with no automotive knowledge. 1000000% taking advantage of an unknowing victim. Please I urge you, if you utilize this company in any way shape or form, first off DONT, but if you must, before going through with it.. do yourself a favor and seek a second opinion. Could be the difference in over a GRAND. DO BETTER CD AUTOMOTIVE !!!!!! Truly DESPICABLE. I hope we leaned our lesson to stop attempting to take advantage of customers, but after actually reading reviews (like I should have done the first time) that seems to be a pretty common occurrence and trend as to how you do "business". This time I went back service was honest and good and I have no complaints one of mechanics even came by offered assistance.

I know this is going to be long but please read all of it!! First let me set the stage. I originally had my entire AC system fixed in ABQ, NM, which cost me $1800, which I was told later by the owner of C&D, that I had been charged double. the AC worked for two weeks. I drove up to El Paso, TX during a PCS from Washington state. All of a sudden, the AC kept going in and out, and then just quit, in 100 degree weather, with two todlers and an 80lb Lab. Right away I was beyond pissed off because I had just put out all this money before a PCS, and I don't just have another $1800 laying around. I called the mechanic that fixed it who is a certified Napa Auto Mech, so I got the warranty. And his exact words to me on the phone were, "oh well bro it's not my problem" and hung up. I called the NAPA warranty phone number and they had two mechanics near the JBSA. so I took a shot in the dark, and I chose C&D Auto, not knowing if they were going be a good mechanic shop or not, I called and spoke with Andre, the owner of all people, explained my situation and he told me just let me know when you can get here, and we'll get you right in so I said I'll see you in the morning right when you open, so we left El Paso that night with a few hours sleep, and drove thru the night to try and get to San Antonio before it got ridiculously hot out, even though it was around 85-90 at 10pm...lol.. Anyways, we got to the shop and we're waiting in the parking lot for about 35 mins and a man walks up after we had already checked in at the office and asked if we needed help, so I started to explain our situation to him, and he goes are you that guy that I spoke to yesterday with the AC issue? And I said yes, and he says I'm Andre the owner. He said give me 5 minutes and I'll pull your car in for you. He pulled my car in, welcomed us inside his shop waiting room, and even told us that we could bring our lab in with us, because it was too hot for him out there as well. He went as far as to change what was on the TV and put a movie on for my kids. 20 minutes later he had my car fixed, he said it was one of the fuses that was underneath the hood, a fuse that we wouldn't be able to check ourselves. The owner called the warranty line for us, to get this covered under our warranty, and they refused to cover it because they said it wasn't part of the AC system, he argue with him and said yes it is, without this fuse the AC system won't work, the warranty people said it was not covered because its not mechanical its electrical. Andre the owner had a few choice words, and hung up on them, and he said don't worry about it I'll cover for you, and all you can warranty it for you. My family and I walked out of there not having to pay one cent. He obviously didn't have to do that, but he saw a family on tough spot, and didn't think that they should have to pay for something that they weren't supposed to. I would definitely go back to Andre and his shop to get my car fixed anytime. For my first impression of Texas this is a great one. read more

PAID THEN GOT PLAYED! Totally at their mercy once I arrived at their shop. After diagnosing my truck's issues, they talked me into "a rebuilt transmission which would come with a 1 year parts and labor warranty" for more than 2 thousand dollars. Being totally at their mercy, I had no choice but to concede. A month later, I picked up my truck.  While my truck was in their care, over a thousand dollars of my own personal property, including a $700 mountain bike was stolen out of my truck. None of which they did anything to compensate me for! About 100 miles later, the transmission I paid $2,000+ for, literally blew up in my face and I was left stranded at a rest stop. Fortunately, CD Auto towed my truck back to their shop to repair my transmission, "again" I drove my truck from Laredo with my destination being Irving, Texas. Out of total shock to me, when I was within 20 miles of San Antonio, out of the blue, totally unexpectedly, I heard a warning alarm, the "OD OFF" signal light on my dash panel popped on and the minute LED information display read "Trans Fault". Instead of finishing my drive, totally out of ironic convenience as far as CD Auto is concerned, I just drove the approximate 20 miles to their shop. backed it in, in front of the front door placed the key inside the console drawer and locked it. They don't have a secure drop box and they don't have an after hours number! If you break down on a Sunday, you're literally S.O.L.! I locked my 3 thousand dollar carbon road bike "inside", as I mentioned before, I'd had numerous items and another bicycle stolen from my truck while it was in their care before. Like I said, none of which they compensated me for. I'm glad I paid for a "warrantied" repair, in that I'm not supposed to be out anymore money, but what's the deal!?  I'm a nervous wreck, I can't drive my truck with peace of mind, knowing it won't break down on me again. I've always kept my truck serviced, up to date, new tires, alignment correction, shocks, oil changed,  fluids topped off, etc...Unfortunately, with prolonged use, I guess transmission failure is inevitable. So, though not necessarily happy about the exorbitant cost, I willingly accepted the expensive repair cost that comes with vehicle maintenance. BOTH TIMES I've really driven my truck the transmission has failed me!!!! WHY ON EARTH IS THE TRANSMISSION STILL NOT FIXED!!?? I did the math and on top of the transmission itself, I've paid out another $200+ for fuel bus tickets and other travel expenses bringing my truck back to CD Auto or picking it up. NONE OF WHICH they've offered to compensate me anything for! Not only that, but I've authored multiple emails to the email address they provided me and not once have they replied! Perhaps it's wrong to expect perhaps even a little special consideration considering everything I've been through, BUT AFTER ALL OF THIS, NONE AT ALL!!!??!?? I'm very disappointed and I'm still convinced though CD Auto assures me otherwise, that the transmission is still not fixed. CD Auto was supposed to fix my transmission, but BOTH TIMES I've driven my truck any considerable distance the transmission has failed me! Also, I understand they're closed on Sunday, but they don't have an available "after hours" number posted! I had to leave my truck this most recent experience, hoping that merely locking the key inside my truck would prove safe, especially after being robbed while on their lot before! Now, I'm having to reschedule my medical exam and family visitation. I've had to take another bus home and overall been very stressed out!   I merely asked them TO PLEASE CORRECTLY AND RELIABLY "FINISH" THE WORK I PAID THEM TO DO!!!!!! I gave CD Auto the benefit of a doubt asked them to ensure me their service was reliable and maybe somehow compensate me for all I've had to pay out for work they haven't gotten right to begin with and they've refused. IS IT WRONG TO ASK THEM IF they'd simply top of my fuel tank after all I've spent in bus tickets to and from and for all of the inconvenience I've been through? read more

Great service, fair prices, fast workers and honest. My car was making a horrible screeching sound and their diagnostic only costs $35 verses $125 at the dealership. Dealerships are ridiculous! It ended up being a belt and ta pump that needed to be replaced. Just recommend that staff place news paper on the driver side floor to prevent them from getting the floor mats muddy or greasy. "Easy fix" Also the grounds could use some maintenance cleaning. If every staff member takes a week to maintain grounds it would really improve the locations atmosphere.
