tldr - if it's related to HVAC, call the installer of your HVAC system if possible…read more I called Green Bear to take a look at an HVAC system (on second floor) that was leaking water on the 1st floor ceiling (due to AC condensation). They sent someone over, who didn't really open the HVAC system panel much. I didn't seem confident that this would fix it. But they recommended to fix the drain pan inside the evaporator coil box, which they said was much more expensive. For clearing the drain pipe and gluing a loose pipe, which didn't actually fix the main problem, they still billed me $300 - diagnostic fee ($99) + 1 hour ($199) - (there's a 3% credit card fee, but they accept checks) 4 or 5 hours later, there was dripping again. I ended up calling Bob's, they sent 2 technicians who knew what they were doing (they opened the panel properly), they found and fixed the issue - it did not involve replacing a drain pan. Bob's only charged me the diagnostic fee of $175 and did the job right (compared to $300 that Green Bear charged)

More recently, we had an issue come up and called them on a Friday. They responded immediately, Kris came out quickly, repaired the system under warranty, and even waived the labor charges. Their customer service, responsiveness, and professionalism have been outstanding from start to finish. It's hard to find companies that stand behind their work like this. Highly recommend Two Brothers Water Heater Repair to anyone needing water heater or boiler work. I would absolutely refer them to friends and family.

And they did it $1,500 LESS than two other notable local shops we got estimates from. I asked why so cheap and One Brother said simply, "that's how much it costs." THIS is integrity folks. No up-selling, no surprises, or vague line items--just two guys and a fast, professional install. I wish these two did insulation, framing, drywall; I'd hire them (or anybody like them) in a heartbeat. Diamonds in the rough. Easiest 5 I've ever given, and we've had a lot of work done on our 1952 Seattle home. Can't recommend enough.

Outstanding Service - Again! Thank You, Mark! This wasn't…read moreour first time with Top Heating & Cooling -- we called them about three years ago and had a great experience. So when we needed help again recently, it felt like reconnecting with a trusted name. And they didn't disappoint. This past weekend, my mum noticed our basement was flooding -- water was pouring from the pressure relief valve on our hot water tank. After doing some research, we managed to shut the tank off, but that left us without any hot water. Not exactly a fun situation! (We were half-joking about heading to the gym just to grab a shower.) Mark arrived and immediately put us at ease. He was professional, kind, and genuinely patient -- taking the time to explain the issue clearly before getting to work. He diagnosed the problem quickly and had everything fixed in no time. Thanks to him, we had our hot water back and our weekend back on track. It means a lot when a company earns your trust not just once, but twice. If you're looking for a technician who is not only skilled but also truly cares about the people he's helping, Mark is your guy. We'll absolutely be calling Top Heating & Cooling again -- hopefully not too soon, but without hesitation when we need to! Thank you, Mark! You saved the day (and our shower plans)!

I didnt get good vibes from the original company when I asked them about repairs and warranties, especially when I asked them why it failed and why I should expect it to not fail again. Mark was super helpful. There were actually somehow multiple spots where the line set was kinked and leaking due to the original installers error. Mark was able to find and fix these leaks very quickly and he seemed very trustworthy and honest. If I have any issues I will definitely call them again

tl;dr: Fair pricing, quick, reliable and professional work, kind personalities…read more After being forced to snake my drains every couple of months, the galvanized pipes in my 60 year old home finally decided to call it quits and I decided it was time to replace them. I started getting estimates from different companies, and Wyatt from Piper's came out to see the scope of the work. Whenever hiring contractors I try to understand beforehand the work involved with the hypothetical if I had to do the work myself, that way when walking through the project with the person giving an estimate it helps me figure out the rough bound of what I think the project should cost in labor and materials and to help me catch if there's additional "work" or costs that get put into the bid. With this in mind, when Wyatt walked through the issues he saw and roughly the work involved to fix the issues, it was nothing but an accurate assessment. I felt comfortable bouncing ideas of what made sense to try and tackle in the scope of the repair and what might be unnecessary as there was no real sense of an upsell, just what seemed like honest, professional opinions. Time is money for lots of these companies, and sometimes estimates get rushed which happened in some of the estimates I received; but not with Piper's. They took the time to understand what my priorities were, what constraints there were, and give fair realistic suggestions. After accepting what I believed to be a very fair bid, they were able to schedule the work and came exactly when they said they would. My plumber was Wyatt with a secondary helper - both did a fantastic job and were great at what they needed to do, so only praise there. They were respectful, used shoe covers and moving pads so as to not track dirt on my carpet, cleaned up all the debris from the work, and showed great care in their work. They also were considerate of my requests to minimize the cuts into the drywall and whereas many other bids told me it was necessary to cut drywall in three different rooms for the work they took on the extra inconvenience and were able to keep all the cuts contained to just the bathroom. Time will tell how well the work holds up, but as of now I have the utmost confidence the work will last.

Then I had another Plumber come out to look at it and told us this is NOT NECESSARY. He tightened the drain plug /overflow screws and that fixed the leaking problem. The water was just leaking in between that gap from overfilling the tub. But I'm giving you 4 stars because he DID advise me that I didn't need a water heater flush yet since it's only a year old. And he advised us we could easily do it ourselves, when I told him my husband and son work for SPU in Seattle. So your Plumber's honesty, professionalism and quick response to our call has earned out trust for future calls. Thank you.
