One of the oldest fish and chips places in the area, items come out fresh to order (also a takeout window at the back). Has customer parking, we enjoyed the sit down experience. Adore that they have a kids menu (fish, clam strips, or chicken strips with chips), and even better that they allow subs for the chips (we did a cup of clam chowder, sweet potato fries, and salad... we tempted by the onion rings too!). We also tried their poutine since it was our first Canadian meal and it wouldn't be right without poutine! Service was friendly, also appreciated the option for salmon or cod (cod was more delicious, even though my salmon is healthier self would hesitate to admit)

Serving Richmond since 1978! Awesome classic fish and chips and their other menu items are also great. Service is awesome, and they can fill up fast during peak times. Pricing is fair and portions are decent. Great place if you're a visitor or local, and very dependable quality.

We had the fried clams and also the cod fish. The fried clams as you might be able to tell from the photos were a bit over fried. They were sweet but a bit too chewy. Much better with the lemon The fish was crispy but the cod was again a bit overcooked. The fish was almost rubbery. The tartare sauce was okay Service was really friendly - not fast but really friendly and nice. Would come back to try their other items

Went at lunch time on a Friday. The service was relatively quick despite 2 other groups being there. Our waitress offered to take a picture of us without prompting. I love how the place is decorated! Huge fan of the paintings around the restaurant. It does have a bit of Krusty Krab vibes. The orange creamsicle I ordered was good but nothing extraordinary. Clam chowder was super tasty. I've only ever had fish and chips at White Rock before and this is definitely better. I ordered the cod fish and chips. You could totally share the meal between two as the portion is rather large. The batter is light and well seasoned. I appreciate that it is not very greasy and it maintains a good crunch. The fish is nice and flaky on the inside. I thought it was a good batter to fish ratio. The slaw was delicious. If I'm being honest, I'm not the biggest fish and chips fan as I'm quite picky about fried food in general. But if you're in Steveston, it's only right that you get fish and chips and I think I made the right choice eating here. Would recommend!

A great spot for some fresh fish & chips in Richmond around Stevenson Fisherman's Wharf. Been here a few times and the food and service never disappoints. When you come here, definitely get the cod or salmon fish & chips!

It was a sunny spring day and we wanted to find a nice a lot to sit outside and have some great fish and chips. Initially we were going to the old reliable, Pajo's but couldn't find parking anywhere close by, and happened across Dave's. The line up only took about 15 mins to get through. They allow one person to go inside and order. The prices are very reasonable and they have several choices, besides fish and chips, such as chicken strips, burgers, oysters, prawns and scallops. There are several tables to the left of the restaurant outside, but of course those are busy, so you'll want to keep an eye out to nab one when you can. We got the fish basket, which includes two pieces of fish (you can choose cod, salmon or halibut with different price ranges) 2 fried prawns, 2 fried oysters and 2 fried scallops. It also comes with fries, tartar sauce and red seafood sauce. It came hot and crispy, not soggy at all. The batter is really tasty and the fish was fresh and moist, not too oily. I loved the scallop as well, it tasted so good, fresh, and you could really taste the scallop. The oyster and prawn were also really good and fried perfectly. The fries were ok.....a little dry but using up the provided malt vinegar helped! We will definitely come back when we are having a fish and chip craving!

    Logo and funny motto

I'm assuming the restaurant is just as bad as the take out since it's the same restaurant. Even though I asked if there was peanut oil used, I still had an allergic reaction to the fried foods. When my family asked the person at the front just shrugged their shoulders. Thankfully I know the taste and had my medical bag. But good news if you DONT have a peanut allergy, great value for what you get, big portions, and outdoors was a good ambiance. My dad said the food was delicious.

Came to try the fish and chips as that's the thing to do if you're in Steveston right!? Overall-decent fish and chips, tartare sauce was great. I wouldn't say it was the best fish and chips I've ever had, but it was definitely good and I'd visit again. They have a order window and optional seating. Orders were a bit slow to come out during busier times as they also do take out orders over the phone -but that's expected.

Awesome shrimp and chips. The customer service was phenomenal. Location is also a plus as it is close to the marina.

I left my water and soda to drink them later after heading to washroom. Staff cleared my water and soda away. I still had half of soda in it. I felt thirsty after eating my food in the end. It'd have been nice if she asked me first before clearing dishes. I don't think I'll go back.

Be prepared to wait, and wait you will. Especially if it's a sunny day. 30 min to order your food, and then another 20-30 min to get it, depending on how busy they are. Outdoor seating only with a bunch of benches and a few tables. I already knew I was going to do take away, so I didn't need to jostle for a seat. Almost everyone else had to do the jostleing. Two piece cod and a salmon tacone. The cod was overcooked. The tacone was good. Fries were crispy and unevenly fried. Meaning some pieces were burnt a little. Still acceptable tho. Hence the 3 ***'s It was decent, but it didn't wow me. Maybe it was an off order day. I like my fish. You can smell the ocean near the pier.
