Greek salad is wonderful! Coffee is great, too (and I'm very particular when it comes to coffee!).

I tried one of the Egyptian dishes - kushery ($18) - and it was delicious! If you are vegetarian…read moreand/or have vegetarian friends, I highly recommend this dish. Even as a regular eater of meat, I found this dish so satisfying and filling. In case you don't know, kushery is a whole load of carbs; the dish has rice, macaroni, lentils, a slightly spicy tomato sauce, garlic vinegar, chickpeas, and crispy fried onions. The whole mixture altogether was so tasty, and I would totally get this again. I also ordered the hibiscus punch ($6), which was refreshing and not too sweet. And even though I already had a bunch of carbs with the kushery, I got the Egyptian bread pudding ($8), which was very different from the bread pudding I typically see at restaurants around here. It consisted of toasted croissant pieces that were soaked in a creamy sweet milk; the dessert also came with a bunch of nuts, raisins, and whipped cream. It wasn't as rich or sweet as other kinds of bread pudding I've had, but it was still a tasty dessert. The service was a little slow, so I wouldn't suggest dining in here if you need to get a quick meal. But the food was good, and the staff was friendly, so if you have time for a relaxed meal, give the restaurant a try. Note - there were some slight price discrepancies between the menu and final receipt for my drink and dessert, but I know prices are really volatile in these crazy times, and the price discrepancies were small.

Eight years worth of Fairmount moments later, this review is well overdue. AMBIANCE: The ambiance allows you to slow down and enjoy your company. The restaurant is dim lit, has fireplaces, and loungey atmosphere. It somehow feels warm and I heard a lot of people refer to it as a second home (people are always so friendly here!). There is ample space - three bars, main dining space, and huge outdoor oasis bar. Nestled in Cedar Fairmount neighborhood, you'll also be able to enjoy historic neighborhood. There are seating arrangements if you're craving company or want to enjoy your date. Seating options include couches by the fireplace, tables, and high tops. Fairmount is delightful during every season. During the summer you can enjoy the bar and patio. In the winter you can dine at the igloos. I prefer all seasons here. FOOD/DRINKS: The menu at Fairmount is impressive and has exciting seasonal/weekly additions. You'll never get bored. The cocktails here are refined, very boozy, and very well crafted. The food is seriously delicious, and consistent every single time. I've been impressed with every dish. The dishes and drinks frequently follow the seasons. During my latest visit I enjoyed Butter Pecan Warm Cider with bourbon ($12, so bold and boozy, tastes like fall). I also ordered Fig Trouble Little China ($15, a more rich version of Old Fashioned, so delicious). I also tasted Short Rib & Risotto for the very first time ($28, such a delicious dish, every bite was just amazing). My favorites? Ah, so hard! I'll go with the Fairmount Burger! It's angus beef burger with bacon-fig chutney. It's so delicious! I can't even be serious about meat at the other burger places, this is easily the best burger in the city. My seasonal favorite? Kevin McCallister seasonal drink that resembles coquito or eggnog. The drink is topped with rice paper that includes the design of Kevin from Home Alone. It's such a fun tradition! I look forward to this drink all year and always tell the world about it! SERVICE: The service is excellent. I haven't been anywhere where service is right on point every single time. Everyone is nice - the owner, hosts, and waitstaff. You truly feel seen and like the most important guest. I've visited previously while on dates and frequently dine here solo, always had the most pleasant service. EVENTS: Many people book events here for their non-profits or companies. As far as individual events, Fairmount hosts a fun NYE party every year! PARKING: Onsite parking lot is available at the back of the building. You can enter through the front doors on Cedar or right through the parking lot door. There are numerous reasons why I love the Fairmount. I consider it to be the best dining experience in the Cedar Fairmount neighborhood of Cleveland Heights. I also love how the owner Jake is very engaged in the community and is incredibly friendly with the surrounding business owners. I'll choose this place again and again for calming ambiance, crafted cocktails, and delicious food. To many more years of Fairmount and at Fairmount!

I could have SWORN I had written a review for Tommy's years ago as it is one of my visited…read morerestaurants in my whole 6 years in Cleveland, but apparently I haven't! So it is clear I love Tommy's, a famous and long established healthy-ish option in Cleveland Heights, as do many others. Back when I was on keto for 2 years straight, I got their salads and now that I've been off keto for 3 years, I stop in for a milkshake or an order of fries from time to time. Parking is abundant in the free garage across the street and there is usually a wait for a table. However, I have never taken my boyfriend to Tommy's in the 2 years we have been together - every time we have tried, it's been a holiday and they are closed. However, we finally dined here for a Sunday lunch in August of 2026 and as usual, I had a 5 star experience! He did too, BTW. Tip of the day - my bf and I skipped the line by sitting at the counter which was a super win as we also got to people watch and observe the chefs at work. Yay! The menu is huge and the prices are weird but everything is yummy and fresh. My chunky butt got the "Josh" milkshake- a cookie dough and banana milkshake of delicious sugary goodness ($7.80). It's my favorite milkshake! We shared a generous order of unsalted fries ($4.99) and dipped them in malt vinegar like champions. I've had both the milkshake and fries before but ordered something new for my main. My bf then got the "silver" corned beef pita sandwich ($14.30) and I got the falafel pita sandwich ($12.10). Soooooo good! And by the time our fresh pitas came out, I was getting full so I got to bring home leftovers! Another win! I do think my bill of nearly $50 was a bit too high but we had a good time and I did recently read that the monthly rent on this place is 7k, so I can see why the prices keep going up and up. Definitely make Tommy's a stop on your itinerary if you're in Cleveland!

The single bartender did an amazing job dealing with multiple large parties and the bar clientele that no one felt ignored. The brewery is on the campus of Case Western Reserve, so it's an easy one to walk to if you're exploring that area. There's also parking garages and street parking nearby. For us beer fans, we tried a bunch of flight sized beers, and also sprung for some limited cans to share. Prices were reasonable for the quality. It was a fun first brewery visit, one that probably isn't on everyone's most known list.

I am sad I have to give this a 3/5, it was truly a beautiful dinner & experience!!…read more Me and my boyfriend came here for Valentine's Day and we were so so excited!! We came 10 mins early to our reservation and got sat right away!! Our server introduce themselves and gave us menus!! We decided on drinks-- for me a white wine off their valentines menu and my boyfriend the Columbus brewing light beer! (Both delicious) As we were enjoying our drinks and snacking on the perfectly cooked focaccia bread -- we picked what we were going to order....but another slightly older couple was sat next to us, and we couldn't help but notice the difference between how we were served and how they were served. The same server went over the menu with this couple extensively, showed them the front board with their specials on it and what meat & cut came with each number and special and how it was cooked etc. We just felt a little sad that, probably because we looked very young we weren't treated the same But regardless the dinner was phenomenal and our server was still very sweet to us! My boyfriend order the 10oz top sirloin cap, it came with their house steak sauce and a chimichurri sauce!!!! And it was delicious!!!!!!!!!! Especially paired with the chimichurri sauce! It was perfectly cooked how we asked and the presentation was awesome! I decided on the cavetelli bolognese and it was so so good! A decent portion to fill a cast iron pan and the sauce was a perfect traditional bolognese sauce!! I would definitely like to come back and give this place a second chance! But again, either way this is great food and they deserve great reviews!!!?
