Waited a hour and a half to get my party's food. First there was a 45 minute wait. Once we got seated and drinks and order an appetizer we waited another 45 minutes for food. Never got the appetizer When a waitress checked in with us we asked if we could get a table inside since it was windy and they told us to get on the waitlist again for another table. Once we were about to get up and leave the waitress said they would check in with the chef on our food. 5 minutes later our food came. I ordered tacos but I had to make them myself. The fish filet wasn't cut and all the ingredients were just thrown on a plate. I told the waitress I ordered tacos and she said I am right and that I have to make them myself. Love this place! ALWAYS a wait. Service is hit or miss but the atmosphere is fun & energetic so we enjoy drinks, food & drinks when the weather isnt too hot. One tip, should Cabana care: teach the host & hostesses to explain the waitlist app. We asked how long it would be to be sat, they wouldn't tell us. We are new to waitlist -so we didn't realize you can 1. Add your name early 2. See the seating time (yes, the exact question we asked!). Waited 45 mins before we realized we still had 1 hour left. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Service was prompt and excellent. I am a salad person, so I ordered The Cabana Cobb Salad. It was one of the best salads I have had. My husband ordered fish and chips. He said it was all delicious. The portions were nice sized. I will definitely visit this restaurant again. read more

You have a good thing going on , so unique and Florida-like ..but ... when we asked our friends to join us there ,we were all soooo disappointed to have the rudest waitress Macara wait on us .!!! example : No greeting . But said to us , "Just so you know ,we close at 10! This was 9:15 Had to ask for straws, napkins, utensils . Was non existent. Then when I asked her to remove a drink off my bill she abruptly walked away and shook her head for us all to see As we watched ,she obviously complained to fellow workers, cos they all turned to looks at us ! My family and I have been coming to Cabana for years and will be going back for as long as they're open. The food is good - nothing spectacular but it's tasty. You go there for the ambiance and a solid meal. The view of the river is so relaxing and the drinks are always cold and refreshing. This is one of my favorite Friday night spots with my fiance in the summer when we're looking to unwind from a long week at work and just relax. We had a beautiful summer night, so of course we wanted to go somewhere outside to enjoy dinner and drinks. Friends had told our group about Cabana's on the River, but none of us had been there before. Driving up to Cabana's the parking lot was full and people all over the property. There are multiple bars, dining area, area for live music/dancing, and volleyball, so everyone was enjoying all the various items they had for guests. However, the best part was their river sunset views! We had a larger party of 8, so we expected to wait a while and went ahead to take advantage of the bar. There are all kinds of drinks from wine, beer, to vacation favorite cocktails. You felt like you were at a waterside restaurant in Florida, but instead right here in Cincinnati! We only had to wait about an hour, which was to our surprise. It was nice you could track your waiting number on your phone, so you knew when your group would be up for the next table. Sitting down for dinner, the group ordered a little bit of everything. There wasn't anything we didn't enjoy, but a few of the favorites were Steak on a Stick, Grilled Cajun Shrimp, and the Baked Spicy Cabana Bread. Even with all the items we tried, there were still so many more we look forward to trying at our next visit! The selection was great as you could find your simple foods for the picky eaters, but more variety for those looking for something more exciting! The prices were great too for both food and drink. First time at this restaurant. Wow! What a place. Even though we were sitting "inside" what a great view of the Ohio river. Waitress was very nice and helpful. Our meals were outstanding! Waited 90 minutes when we finally got seated I wanted the Grouper they were all out! So ended up getting the Coconut Shrimp that was a tad bit over cooked and not tasty as if you would make it yourself at home! I was better off going and cooking at home!! It was labor day weekend knowing this they should have had known they would be super busy meaning they should have ordered enough food for a friend of ours what they wanted they were out of as well and had more tables available for people to eat at as well! If you choose to come eat here I suggest you do so on a less busy day as well as not on a holiday weekend! As for the food for my first time I'm just not impressed so my score I give is a 3!! read more

After waiting and most of the tables getting empty, we asked why we were still waiting. They told us they were saving the tables for larger groups. The larger groups still weren't anywhere in sight an hour later. At least 3 tables had people smoking!! After waiting for 2 hours & still no food, most of the servers were in the break room, We Left! Went to Cabana tonight with friends. We come once a month. Bartender in restaurant not friendly and rude and told us to move to outside bar, where volleyball is and we can run a tab there till table called. Well that bartender told us we could not sit at tables because volleyball starts in an hour. Terrible to spend money at a place if you are not welcome. Tell your staff, or if you are the owners, get your act together! read more

5 star location, 2 star food and service. I love the cabana. It's super close to my house, is very relaxing and in a prime spot on the river. But the food and service are just eh. Typical bar food- a few decent selections like the pretzels with queso, BBQ chicken sandwich and chicken fingers. Doesn't blow my socks off but it tastes fine. The slow service is just something I've grown accustom to. It's usually busy and I get the impression that each server has about 8-10 tables. I may be wrong, but that's how it feels. The beer is never ice cold and I usually sit with an empty for at least 5-10 minutes before my server checks on me again. If you have the time to sit around for awhile and aren't craving kick ass food- then the atmosphere is worth it! Live music on the weekends is fun too! read more

The menu looked great with a lot of choices. Made the 40 minute drive because well why not. Had the grouper basket. What made me think it would actually taste like grouper I'm not sure. More like a no name fried fish you can get anywhere. But hey, you're sitting on the Ohio River. Hubby had the black and blue steak salad. Large and he seemed to like it. We traveled quite a little way to get to this restaurant after hearing the scenery was beautiful so we thought we'd try it out. The location is very nice, it's secluded and definitely such a beautiful view! Especially on a summer night out, it doesn't get much better than that. This would be an amazing restaurant but the staff, in my option, was extremely unfriendly. The girls in the front were nice but seemed to not be very interested in assisting customers and our waitress was extremely rude and quick to run away from our table at any chance she got. I definitely understand it being a Saturday night and busy but we were extremely simple with our ordering and quick and she still was racing away from us and just very unwelcoming. The food was good and the menu was fitting with the location but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Definitely a good place to go hang out with friends and get drinks but the wait staff could be a bit more pleasant in my opinion. read more
