Another amazing 6$ lunch at cabanas tacos. Try their pastor it's awesome and make sure to try the red sauce and both green sauces. Tortillas are very good and the amount is very good. Make sure to ask for cebollas asadas, I could eat those onions by themselves they're that good. Sometimes they run out of this, which makes me sad but I would still try them out regardless. Pass Al pastor I think it was Al pastor lol it was slightly dry, pass. Tripas (extra crispy) Very clean! Seasoned well & juicy, there's nothing more to really ask for - except pineapples would be nice lol We also liked how there was a mini cooler built within the truck that we were able to pour our own sauces with the mini containers they provide (don't forget to get the green avocado salsa!) Location seems a little sketchy but other than that fast service, friendly employees plus tons of parking for you to enjoy your meal as soon as you get your hands on them. Reminds me of tacos I had in Tijuana many years ago. This is how tacos should be made and taste like. It looks like you plain and average tacos but it's packed with lots of flavors. Cheap eats but big bang for your buck. $1.25 per taco vs. $3-$4, and this is their everyday price. Why wait for taco Tuesday? The truck is clean and the two female workers were polite and accommodating even though their english is limited. They have 3-4 different hot sauces to satisfy your pallette. They are the only food truck at this location and I've been told they are there all day and have been at this location for a long time. Will definitely be back and recommend. read more

We were wondering if maybe it was because we were there a minute or so before they closed so they had extras they were trying to get rid of or if it was the normal amount, but if it was the normal amount, it was LOADED. Tripa - We were excited about the tripa since they came out looking super crispy. The first time we got these, they ended up being chewy underneath the crisp, but the second time, they did not disappoint. Crisp and perfect. The salsas were so so good though. I've been trying a bunch of taco trucks in Santa Ana and this one is probably one of the best. 1.25 or 1.50 (special meat) per taco is a steal. The meats were seasoned really well and they give you grilled onions. My favorites would have to be the Cabeza and tripa tacos. Only complaint I have is that they give you a certain amount of cups for the salsa and if you want more it's 50 cents per cup. They gave about 6 small 1 ounce cups for about 25 tacos and 1 quesadilla that I ordered. Definitely not enough salsa. read more

So I've been to this place many times, before sometimes it was good, sometimes it was very bland... but I've been going a lot more recently because the last 4 times I've been here ommgggg the burritos have been amazzziiinng and their horchata is just always on point prefect balance of refreshing and sweet. I've always gotten the pastor burrito and an horchata and lotssss of the creamy green salsa & a lil of the creamy orange one. The creamy green one is the perfect flavor if I don't want the salsa to be too spicy, but if I want super spicy, I go for the creamy orange salsa. The freshness of their food is much better than many other taco places that I've been too and the quality of their meat is much better too. I used to frequent the taqueria up the street which I always thought was okay but the last few times I went it made me and my family sick, plus would only last a day in the refrigerator before getting a weird flavor.... so that's why we decided to try this taco truck and I'm so glad we did because this is my favorite place I've been to so far... I love the cubed chicken! And the pastor and chorizo were so crunchy and full of pork flavor. I absolutely loved them! And the tacos were filled with onions and cilantro. I ordered tacos and specified two separate order but they put them in the same bag. I was glad they were on separate plate and I could figure that out and took out the right plate which was meant for another person. They put grilled onion on their taco which was good. There were five different kinds of salsa in bottle. You can put it on your taco directly if you want to eat on the street. In my case I had it togo and have to ask for container.
