This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Austin. OMG - the smoky cheddar tortillas and queso are beyond amazing. This place is the best! Maybe it's the fish tacos, all the toppings, BYOB (build your own bowl), or the colorful flour tortillas made right in front of my eyes. Cabo Bobs is fresh, affordable, and I feel like I'm getting my money's worth. My favorites are the fish tacos with the colorful tortillas, loaded with veggies, and salsas. Great spot not just food wise but the employees there make you feel like family. They really do. The cashier Brisa was doing such a great job, had a line to the door but she was always so polite and friendly. He had ordered a chips and guacamole, the people working were a little busy so they brought it out to us. As soon as we got it Brisa was quick to apologize on the delay but honestly there was no need to. We were always treated like family there and can understand if there's a little delay. When you are treated like that by a restaurant it feels so great! So thank you guys. Also Beto !! The press guy such a great help! There's two one-way roads between California and Austin. The breakfast taco and the cali-style burrito. Honestly, I don't care if Californicators get breakfast burritos. What I do miss about living (briefly) in California are the vegetable burritos. Hey, Freebirds is great, but there aren't any VEGETABLES in their veggie burritos. Enter Cabo Bob's. Love, love, love the veggie burrito. Really, all it needs is more veggies. Carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, and other stuff. Cabo bobs is the definition of chipotle on steroids. Only if you're a burrito or taco eater though. The bowls are average and I feel like chipotle would give you way more. I finally caved and came here after all of my friends pestered me about it. Needless to say, I don't think I'll ever go to Chipotle again. Now don't get me wrong- Chipotle is phenomenal but the fish tacos at Cabo Bob's are to die for. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, their crispy fish perfectly complements the sweet and spicy tang from the rest of the taco. Also, the service was great! Holy Amazing!! Chipotle is usually my go to ( would order from them once a week) , but my friend told me about Cabo Bob's, and I knew I had to give it a try.This is during Covid-19 so we ordered pick up online. The online ordering was easy and straight forward- our order was ready within 10 minutes. The gentleman who brought out our order was very friendly and efficiently. I usually get burrito bowls or salad but I knew I had to try a burrito from Cabo Bob's and I am so happy I did . First off, the size of the burrito is HUGE. It was bigger than my bicep. I got two meals out of it , and the leftover was still super good reheated in the oven . I love the large variety of toppings they offer- they have fresh jalapeños as a topping option too ! The mango salsa was a super yummy addition to the burrito, you can also tell the tortilla is fresh and made in house . We also got the chips and queso. The chips were super crispy and fresh and I liked how they didn't overdue the salt on it as many other places tend to do that . The queso was delicious - better than chipotle in my opinion. I go to Cabo Bob's all the time. The food is delicious and fresh. The fresh tortillas are particularly amazing. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. I order to-go all the time and if the order is only a minute or two late, they try and make it up with a free drink or chips. In a city full of good food, Cabo is my favorite. read more

Why anyone still goes to Chipotle I don't know! This place is SO much better and faster! Their tortillas are amazing and freshly pressed when you're going down the line, so no more cardboard tortillas! They also have great flavors like cilantro tomatillo that really do make your food better. Their ingredients are a lot fresher than Chipotle's, their fajita steak is always cooked perfectly and it never dry! They have great sauces that you can add to your burrito for free and their guac is a lot better too! The employees are also super nice and friendly. Breakfast burritos, Carne Asada Burritos with Fries (colloquially known as a California burrito) or your standard jam packed Chipotle special...I have had it all. Cabo Bobs has changed the game. And they're very far from my home state of California. The fresh burrito-sized tortilla stopped me in my tracks. The plethora of ingredients was mind blowing. The cherry on top was the fresh fried fish loaded up in front of me.
