Very happy to have this place open up close to us. We usually don't eat Mexican food, but the burrito here was really awesome. It's at-least 10x better than Chipotle, free birds and even local restaurants like Uberrito and torchys. Fresh tortilla made in front of you! The brisket was pretty good. Lots of options for sauces. It turned out to be a huge burrito and great value. The manager also asked me if this was my first time and gave me a queso + chips free on the house. Very good service and I really liked the queso and chips (which we usually don't like at other places!). Will be coming here often now and try their tacos and bowl next time. it was our first time visiting and it was recommended to me by a friend. we probably looked a little lost when we came in and someone came up to us and walked us through the ordering process which was a really great experience. we loved that they freshly make your tortillas to order and you can even mix different tortilla flavors! i got ancho chili mixed with cilantro tomatillo, i really like this combo. i got grilled steak as my protein and it was sooooo good. there are lots of meats and other fillings to choose from and the drink selection is good as well. overall, it was a great experience and we will definitely come back next time we are in houston! read more

I went there with some buddies for all of our first times. The owner came up to us and helped us out. We was incredibly kind and even gave us a free queso and chips voucher. Going to the Cabo Bob's in Austin I was excited for this opening. Sorry to say i was disappointed. The quality doesn't seem to be there and the burrito I had was "meh" at best. My wife had gone during lunch yesterday and was underwhelmed As well. Not sure what the issue is but my stomach was feeling funny afterwards. Hopefully their quality improves ASAP. Torchys tacos across the street will be much better option at this point. read more

A bunch of my friends and I ordered take out from here the other night and I'm not very impressed, although I will give them another try. Their Baja fish tacos were sub-par, and good for the price, but I like Berryhill's fish tacos much better; I feel like they're larger and more meaty. One of my friends got the Brisket and Queso Burrito and was disappointed in it's lack of flavor, said the tortilla tasted burned, and large peppers and onions that seemed a bIt under cooked and overwhelming, and didn't notice the queso (maybe we were given something else?) Maybe we should have tried building our own? I plan on coming back and dining in to see if it changes my experience as really want to like this place and love the idea. read more

It was okay/ healthy side with low salt type place. Somewhere lower than chipotle and Freebirds. I order a little of everything off the menu. The cheese was decent but the chips where double fried and stale. I did request for newer chips and got some more too greasy to be crisp chips. We order the burrito bowl build your own as a starter. All the ingredient are fresh but just lack seasoning. We also order the deep fried fish tacos. The fish nuggets tasted of "nothing". If you enjoy food more on the netrual side and like cane soda than this is the place for you! Would I try it again? No thanks but nice concept. read more

It was my 1st time coming after a few months, i saw alot of changes. Some were good. I love how the lady Maneger Avigail treated, she took all the food once it was ready with drinks and everything. She even gave samples of the fish.( The fish was amaizing.), but i can not say the same for the guy. Im guessing he was maneger too. He left me hanging 2 times after i was trying order. He ignore me whent to somebody else. Leaving without even finishing my order. I paid and Avigail help me.Once i took a seat, she took the rest of my order and she made it personally, all i did is just give her my card and thats all. I will come back it the food was great. Machine pressed tortillas, great fried fish and an awesome burrito. I'm really glad this place appeared in our neck of the woods. It's a great cheap weeknight meal and awesome treat at that. The only reason to not go here, is if you want fajitas. If you're in Houston, you consider yourself a "foodie" or love food, and you don't give these guys a shot.... you're making a big F'n mistake. Hands down best fast casual Mexican/Burrito in Houston. They have it covered A-Z. Atmosphere is laid back, always upbeat or beach like music. Consumer customization, out the roof. You can get a smokey cheddar tortilla (the call) as well as 3 other kinds of tortillas... my favorite part is when the burrito rips and they have to roll a new one and they give me the ripped tortilla on the side no problem. Value serving... oh ya. Heaping scoops of meat. You can tell it's a better value offering than chipotle, free birds, etc. as you watch them. It's completely obvious and same quality if not better. They have more than chicken and steak too. I do 1/2 steak 1/2 brisket... definitely the call here. Another huge plus is they do sautéed onion. Queso is right up there in the top tier. Salas are simple and robust flavors with a smoked hint and beverages are all fresh (tea is great) and authentic (ex. Dr Baja with real sugar cane). Price point for a burrito and med coke is $12. This is value serving at its finest and you will be stuffed no doubt. I swear I'm not on their payroll y'all, it is that good. On top of the great food, their customer service is consistently above and beyond. The managers name I saw was Joseph and there's another manager that looks just like him that's really good but Joseph's ability to engage guests and accommodate them makes him the real MVP. "Wow!" Take that word the best way possible. This place is clean, the food is delicious and fresh, and the hard working ladies behind the counter don't play around. They ain't your typical pre-teens from Chipotle texting while serving you 3 small pieces of meat along with 3 grains of rice onto your stale burrito. Nah, these women are your abuelas making sure you don't leave this place hungry. There are so many choices to put in your burrito or taco bowl and everything is fresh. Their tortillas arnt pre-made, taken from a plastic bag, and warmed up in a shirt press. They actually make it fresh, you'll know what I mean when you see them holding the tortilla dough. I highly recommend smoked cheddar tortilla if you're a cheese fan. The atmosphere makes you want to believe that the beach is just around the corner. This is the exactly craving I would have after a long day of surfing. I would have taken a picture of my food but it was too good to think about anything else. read more

I saw the great reviews and had a taco craving so I went by last night. My husband and I waited about 10 minutes inside due to it was dinner time a little after 7pm. The establishment appeared clean and the workers looked like they were keeping up a fast pace. My review is based on a group of 18-20 year olds ahead of us who proceeded to remove their mask right before it was their turn to order. After waiting in line for 10 minutes and then seeing these young men removing their mask with no regard to others safety I had it when nothing was said to them. I won't be back. You can not trust the food safety practices of a place that would allow reckless anti maskers to behave this way in a resturant. They should have been kicked out. I was wondering why the male in front of us was so far from the group this whole time until I noticed all three males maskless on purpose. My husband said they were taking selfies. This place is one of the crown jewels of the Houston restaurant scene. If you want a burrito, you can do no better than Cabo bob's. The ingredients are fresh and the meat is always cooked perfectly. The tortillas are handmade on site--I get the cheddar cheese flavor, so flame. The employees always take great care of us and NEVER skimp on the portions--but they stay true to proper ratios too (e.g. beans and rice to meat, etc.). I go here at least once a week. Joseph, the manager, always takes care of us and ensures we have a wonderful experience. One of then best-run restaurants I've ever been to, and I eat out every day.
