I tried to stay within my health goals, so, I opted for the chicken burrito bowl. Idk what I was expecting BUT it wasn't that. I ordered light rice, extra pico, extra black beans and extra lettuce. I also ordered the dressing on the side. I never got the dressing, and honestly, I didn't even need it. This bowl was literally one of THEE best salads I've had in a very long time. Never expected it to exceed my expectations. When I tell you that I want more, like coming back today (we went yesterday) to get another bowl. Get it. You won't be disappointed. Whoever was on grill yesterday, I need your hours. I want to make sure you are always there when I'm hungry. We also had empanadas, I think it was chicken, with guacamole. That personally wasn't my fave but I used that guacamole and added it to my bowl and it was even better. So... yeah, I'll be back. Ima ask who the cook was too. LBS. I unknowingly went to Taco Fuego on a Taco Tuesday, and I'm glad I did! Piper's Cantina, Tacos Doña Lena and Doña Leti's are also nearby, but I wanted to try something different. There's a few spots to park in front shared with other businesses in the shopping center. It gets pretty busy because all the eateries/stores like Chick-fil-A, Buffalo Wild Wings, Whataburger and Walmart are all on Silber Rd. My coworker and I both tried the steak mini street tacos with onions and cilantro with lime on the side. We each ordered only 2 for $2.50 each, but having eaten one, I wished I ordered the combo that comes with 5. The steak and corn tortillas were so flavorful especially with the green salsa and the other creamy green salsa that I wish I knew the name of. It might've been creamy cilantro, but it tasted a little like ranch. I had only ordered 2 tacos since I also wanted a side of fries. The fries were served hot and fresh with the best seasoning. It also came with a small sauce of ketchup/mayo (I think that was the combo). I shared that. I also had the pineapple agua fresca. It was a little on the sweet side but still good. There's plenty of inside seating, so we sat at one of the booths. The restaurant looked clean. People were coming and going to pick up their orders. Yes, their items are a little pricier than other taco places, but it tasted so good that I'll be back. A bonus is that I work less than 10 minutes away. My husband and I l tried this place for the first time after shopping at Ikea (it's quite close). The food came out quickly, everything was fresh and delicious, the portions were plentiful! We come for the soft margaritas this is a completely different place than what it is when we normally come a tacos were not made like they were normally made. In this day and age of generally poor customer service most places and no one wanting to take accountability, I was extremely impressed with their response. He states that I didn't say the combo LOL. I look at the menu and see that's it'd be premium to order fries and drink on the side at this point. A bit disturbed....I said okay and politely walked away. I'm waiting for my food now, and he brings me someone else's order......mind you there's three people sitting down. Nut allergy friendly - I wasn't really able to ask but the menu seemed friendly. Easy parking in the strip mall. Adequate seating inside (booths and tables of 2-4). One lady at the counter that also doubled as a server - seemed understaffed. My order was not understood correctly - I ordered the ramen combo assuming it came with fries, but it did not. My friends' quesadilla combo and burger combos came with fries and they were able to ask for juices to substitute the fountain drink. Service was unfortunately poor. The ice machine was broken and so the tea was lukewarm. There were no utensils, so when I got my birria Ramen I had to sit there for 5-10 minutes while the unfortunate sole cashier/waitress went looking for plastic utensils to refill the container. My dish was getting cold by the time I got utensils. Birria Ramen: 1.5/5. Overly salty - and I eat many other ramen places with salty tonkatsu; trust me when I say this is SALTY. The ramen was no better than packets you get at the grocery store. Corn had the texture from a can. The birria meat is definitely a plus, but it was way too salty. It's like they mixed the ramen package with salty birria. Birria Burger: 3.5/5. Actually tasted better dipped into the birria Ramen. Decently flavorful. Fries were very salty and not crispy. My wife tried a bowl of birria ramen, it was tasty but too spicy for her, our son and I loved it. I wanted to try something different so I could take more pics, The birria crunch wrap turned out to be the star of everybody's show, lots of goodies in this thing, layers and layers of beans, meat, cheese, tostada, lettuce, and a couple sauces. You must try everything, the crunch wrap for sure. Our grandbaby got her own churros, for quality control I had to try one, very good. We split a trio of tamales covered in consomme, yum! The table had cholula hot sauce and I snagged a few versions of hot sauce from the east side of the Sabine River and I didn't use any of them....didn't need it. We'll be back. I've been to the store location several times now and I've tried a little bit of everything. I finally got to try the fries and boy was I missing out. They were so delicious! They gave me the fix that I needed and more. I love loaded baked potatoes and this definitely gave me that with a little flare. It was very spicy with the fuego aioli sauce but the creamy cilantro sauce balanced it out. THIS is definitely a must try item on the menu. The empanadas were good as well they just don't come with enough. I received only two and they were small. The Birria Ramen was good as well, just a little on the salty side. Overall, I would suggest the Fuego fries (10/10), the Birria Tacos w/ consomé (10/10) , the Texan taco (9/10) , and the El Gaucho Taco (7/10). On a Sunday after church without my wifey my church friends invited me to try this new taco place. In all honesty they had me at taco, one of my favorite food groups. I'm lucky to live in Houston, where it seems like you can get a taco on almost any street corner. So as we go inside we learn that this is a "Latin" taco restaurant which I think means they can charge a lot more for their tacos. I got a sample of their birra taco, the Texas taco and their street taco. I also decided to order a side of two chicken empanadas and to wash it down some horchata. I really liked the Texas taco and the empanadas were great. I can't give this place any more than 3 stars because the street taco was terrible and the horchata was really bland and tasteless, even though it came out of a cool machine. Anyplace that can't make a great street taco is a place I don't want to come back to. That's the staple of any good taco place in my opinion and there are tons of other places that make great ones. That and the fact that my meal was almost $22 for tacos, come on man! Too much for tacos!!!! read more

Came here for the first time tried the birria tacos and Elote in a cup. Tacos had decent flavor not quite the flavor I'm used to. Elote just wasn't worth the price $6 for a cup and it was a small cup. Corn looks like from a can and didn't have the flavor of Elote I get elsewhere.
